Everyone was so friendly. So helpful. My friend was picking fabrics for a small wall hanging. This is her first foray into civil war, reproduction fabrics. Caroline was so enthusiastic, it was inspiring to watch. She explained what she was thinking and looking for in her color choices. I bought three kits. I never, ever buy kits. The fun is choosing fabrics, right? But her color sense is beyond belief. I can't wait to get home and start sewing ! I can't wait to go back. Please visit. But Denver Fabrics, long my go-to and most beloved source, closed long ago. I found this place online after searching for a specific type of fabric. They do have a brick-and-mortar location. However, ordering online is easy, and the prices (discounted from retail) are VERY good. Most of the fabrics that I bought were $10/yard! Shipping is both reasonably priced and fast. They have a vast selection of fabrics, including home decor, upholstery, and outdoor. I specifically searched for upholstery fabric by color, and found several. I also bought fabric to make a duvet cover. My only complaint about their website is that the pictures can't be enlarged by much. I solved this by screenshotting the fabrics, cropping, and then saving to my pictures, where I could enlarge them with ease. Also, they don't list the fabric content. I accidentally ordered four yards of fabric that turned out to be burlap and chenille. This is why enlarging the pictures is helpful. I'll use it for a window seat, maybe. Or line a trunk. It's too casual for a formal dining room. Maybe curtains, idk.

The newly-built store opened in April 2025 and is a combination fabric store and Amish general store. The aisles are wide, the lighting is excellent, the inventory is updated and very well organized, the prices are very good, the store is spotlessly clean, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have the best selection of Creative Grids rulers I have ever seen in a store! The discount quilt fabric is a huge alcove. I peeked in but it's easy to go overboard. Lots of selections from Moda. Speaking of overboard, when they say they have a boatload of fat quarters it's a literal rowboat of fat quarters! The people here are attentive and very helpful. And they have an excellent selection of blenders as well as panels. Plus some very cute kits. Their prices are on par with most other quilt shops. But that discount fabric makes it a great value.
