First, it must be said that the poor reviews for this company are old and are for the previous owner, Ron, and his team. I never worked with them. Let it be known that the business is now owned by Ricci Hancock, and he is fantastic! Recommended to me by the plumber who installed our water heater, who is now retired. Monday afternoon our water heater started leaking from the top - I called to leave a message, and Ricci called me back within 10 minutes. I described the problem, he knew right away what may be causing it, and scheduled us for first thing Tuesday morning. Ricci was on time, and I found him to be incredibly professional and courteous. He answered all of my questions and talked me through the problem and the warranty. He broke down the price of everything - what the warranty covered, what it didn't, before we agreed to any action. He was able to replace the water heater that same day! When my husband was concerned about the age of the new water heater, Ricci went the extra mile to find the production date from the manufacturer itself, to alleviate any concerns that this had been sitting in a warehouse for years. It wasn't! It is, as promised, brand-new :-) Again, Ricci was punctual, professional, courteous, helpful, and patient. Ron's to the rescue! On the recommendation of several neighbors, I switched to Ron's for plumbing services about a year ago. Whether a plumbing emergency or planned maintenance, Ron's is the one to call. I have had them out for everything (it's been quite a year)- clogged pipes, garbage disposal replacement, new toilet and shower head installations. The whole team is great. Excellent Experience!!! Last night we noticed out 11/2 year old garbage disposal was leaking horribly (yes it was a builders grade Badger). Called Ron's at 8 AM and by around 9AM he was here! We had him install a higher grade Insinkerator. He was neat, efficient, and was finished in an hour. Plus they have a five year warranty , parts and labor. Highly recommend Ron's!! read more

I'm happy with the work we had done by Ron's Plumbing. We had to replace all our plumbing overhead because of a slab leak, and the tech we had did a great job, he was fast and friendly, always made sure we had water available before he left for the day. The first experience I had was great. A tech came out changed out my kitchen faucet, corrected and replaced hot and cold tubing, cleaned out hardware, spent like an hour an half and charged 163.27. I called a couple months later to check my shower head and I already had removed head but broke it and it left a part in the head connection. Tech came out to site and he used a die to take out the pad part, took 5 minutes to do this job, went outside and did 15 minutes of paperwork, he came back into my house to have me sign and pay in which I did with check #5660 and I didn't pay attention that I wrote $120! Sad thing about this, is that he didn't even screw the head back on. After he left, I called the company, a woman answered, I told her the situation, she said she would call me back. I got no call back, so I called the next day, and she said she spoke with the tech and that he charged me correctly and this lady became rude when I asked for the owner, she said they would call back later. Of course no one called back. I started to write a letter to the company, but just said forget it, just don't ever do business with them again. read more

My experiences with plumbers have always been up and down. It seems when you think you find a good plumber you stick with them, and the next time you call them; they send out someone out that disappoints you. I've used Ron's plumbing in the past with an all right experience. I called them again (desperation), and I was pleased. The gentlemen was very knowledgeable and gave me the price before he started. He even gave tips on how to avoid and even fix a problem myself. I would used them again. No games were played and was not sitting around wondering how much the bill was going to be. I am so happy with Ron's Plumbing Heating & Ac service. My toilet and shower drain kept backing up, I had a friend come over and try his plumbers snake and that didn't work we tried everything, putting hot water, the plunger, dish soap everything nothing worked. I called them the first thing in the morning to see if they could get someone and and they said they would call me back shortly 3 minutes later I get the call that someone was on there way. Richie got here within 15 minutes or so. Fixed my problem. I am so happy with his service. He even wore foot slipper when coming into my home. I was pretty disappointed with this company. The first visit was to look at my wall heater that was having problems turning on and staying on. Just like the many other companies that came and failed, I was told it was the thermostat and it was replaced for one that was supposedly more compatible with my type of heater. Yet less than a month later, it started failing again. I called them back out, this time the visit was quite short and I was informed I would need to replace a whole part that would cost more than the heater itself. I was not too thrilled with the service so I got a 2nd opinion from Accurate Heating & AC and boy am I glad I did because the gentleman who arrived was way more knowledgeable. He noticed immediately that the cap on my roof was hanging off and fixed it, saw how dusty the inside of the heater was and thoroughly cleaned it, and this is all while he explained every detail to me. To this day my heater still works and it cost me way less than what this company was trying to charge me. If it doesn't sound right, it probably isn't right! read more

I unfortunately did not read these reviews. I needed a gas valve lowered behind my oven so that the oven could sit flush with the wall. The tech, pulled the oven out, attatched a 90 degree fitting and 6" worth of pipe, turned gas back on and pushed range back in. 20min of actual work, $5 in parts, 20min of bill writing. For a total of $160! I was pissed to say the least, I was told there would be a $59 service call fee, plus parts and if the job was extensive then the price would go up. I was never told before he started what the total would be. Would not recommend ever. Called to complain and that of course went nowhere. Stay away! read more

I am always happy with Ron's. They just came out today and fixed my sink. They came on time and the service was fast and friendly.

I suspected a leak of heating duct moisture in the ceiling. The technician cut out the drywall and found no leak. He then gave me a bill for a whopping $225. When I called the office to find out why it was so high, they said that they have a flat rate of $250 for leak detection! Many customers might not think of getting an advanced quote before diagnosing the problem but dealing with Ron's plumbing you should. In fact, think about getting a more reasonable plumber and save the grossly excessive charge to take a vacation. Definitely do not recommend Ron's plumbing. read more

I think not. I recently had my hot water replaced and it was under warranty. They did the initial install 4 years ago and I called them to replace it when it failed. The tech showed up replaced the water heater in 1 hour and 40 minutes. he also replace two flex lines on top of the heater. The bill for this less than two hour job was $530.00. After consulting several plumbers, I learned that was extremely high. I went to their office and requested an itemized bill only to be told that we don't have that, only a price guide out of a manual. WAY OVERPRICED FOR THE TWO HOUR JOB. I would not recommend them for anything. RIP OFF. To top this off, they haven't returned any of my requests to speak to a manager. read more

Have done business with Ron's a few times, and each time, I am less than thrilled with the quality of work done for the price. The last time they came to install a new water filtration system, they over-tightened it, preventing me from being able to change the filter. Was not provided a wrench either. Called, and the scheduler, Diane answered, so I explained right away that I needed the tech to provide a wrench to change out myself. Two weeks later, no reply. Call back and explain that filter needs to be changed and I am washing dishes by hand and need a wrench to change out the filters. Diane apologizes, and assures me someone will be out within the week no charge, and says she is sorry for the trouble. Today, the tech arrives, loosens the filter housing, and replaces the dirty filter with a new one that I have and says he has to charge me a diagnostic fee!!! Says he "can't drive around for free!" Are you kidding me? Refused to pay, and called Diane to explain. What did he think he was diagnosing? Clearly not his own inability to do the job right in the first place, or the importance of a good work ethic. How unprofessional. Will not be using this company ever again, and will NOT recommend them either. read more
