He's taken good care of me through thick and thin, and I truly feel that in him I have a vigorous health-care advocate. One indication of his skills and reputation is that other physicians go to Dr. Mintell as their family doctor. I only wonder how much longer he'll be practicing; he's in his early 70's now, and despite being very active and apparently in excellent health, everybody has to retire sooner or later.

Person said sounds like I need a doctor but they could not fit me in (the entire day) and said I should go to their walk-in clinic (25 miles from my home). I called clinic to get appointment and they didnt answer and never responded to my message. My illness required a doctor which is what I thought I had, but now I'm moving to a new practice that actually cares about their sick patients - not just the well-visits! Why have a doctor if they won't take you when you need them?!

Her secretary was very amicable, etc. so my apt was set for the following week at 3:30. I got there at 3:25 and was informed the secretary had to run out for an errand which was fine because I completely understand life happens. My apt started at 3:55 and its supposed to run from 30-45 minutes per their office. But as soon as 4:30 arrived I left rushed out because the Dr had another apt with a veteran client. Then, I contact the office by ph to discuss medication, the secretary was very rude and seemed annoyed when I mentioned the delay in my first apt. She made me feel stupid like I didn't understand this is a psychiatric matter. Then I go to my second apt because I fig maybe that was just a one time deal and the secretary maybe was just having a bad day. This apt was set for 4:30. I checked in 4:20, time went by and next thing it was 4:55 and no one in sight. I had a another apt set at 6 pm and couldn't be late. I left without saying anything as there was no one in the front desk which I poked my head through the window a few times and the Dr was with another patient, most likely a veteran. I called their office and explained why I left. I was told that that is just the way the practice works which is totally incorrect as I have seined other psychiatrist and they have been punctual every time. So beware, if you decide to be come a new patient. Be prepared to be later and put in the bottom of the barrel until you serve your time.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Dr. office. My adult daughter's finger tip was…read morebitten off and shredded by a dog. The finger was wrapped at an emergency facility and a day and a half later we saw Dr. legeyt. The assistant who was to remove the bandage was standoffish and short with us from the start. They wouldn't numb her finger before removing the bandage. My daughter asked why and the assistant said "do you really want the dr to do this because he won't be as gentle as me" and then when my daughter was apprehensive she said "I'm not going to deal with this" and stormed out. Dr legeyt came in and spoke to my daughter like he was admonishing a child with zero compassion and zero respect and zero explanation. We were both shocked by his manner. I almost left right then, but she needed care. She agreed to let the assistant try to remove the bandage. After about 5 or so minutes as my daughter was screaming and writhing in pain, It came to the point where she couldn't continue. The assistant (who was actually being very sweet, compassionate and helpful at this point) left and a horrible woman came storming in who was determined to rip that bandage off no matter how much it hurt. We didn't allow that. So Dr. legeyt came back in with a huge attitude. I politely asked him why they couldn't numb her hand first and he would not look at me or answer. We couldn't let this sadistic maniac work on her hand, so we wrapped it back up ourselves and left.

I'm a nurse at an accountable care organization and work with lots of primary care providers in CT and MA. She is truly among the best. Josephine is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and proactive. She listens to her patients and genuinely seems to care about their well being.

You have to watch yourself and your health problems here…read more Place has outgrown ability to depend on them. If you have a chronic problem they just push you off to specialists who are fully booked. There's no more personal care here and actually seeing a Doctor is a pipe dream. The practice places income over care imo. They have a current lawsuit in place for not treating a patient properly according to Google. This is business only now it seems. Sad ,as before they moved, it was a quaint place for medical care and everyone knew your name.

Then, the person makes a tentative appointment and says someone will call to get the insurance information and confirm. So I asked what if nobody calls. She said don't worry because they don't charge for missed appointments. I found that to be unusually good service so I confirmed it. She said that she knows other places do that, but they don't do it there. Then, days went by and nobody called. Then suddenly I received a text saying I had an appointment the next day, and to reply to confirm, and that if I miss my appointment, I'll be charged! This was so rude! And the opposite of what the person I talked to said. So I texted back saying that I don't have an appointment. I received a response saying they don't receive incoming texts! So they texted me asking for a response, but they don't receive responses! So I had to call to cancel the appointment that I didn't have! Then another long wait on hold. Then the person told me they do charge for missed appointments, and the previous representative gave me incorrect information. So I asked who the person was who scheduled an appointment that I didn't make, and gave me incorrect information. She said they don't know who she was. They don't have records of that! Then she kept asking me if I want to keep my appointment, after I repeatedly told her that I don't have one, and can't come at that time. She kept repeating the same question. Finally I hung up. Giovanna, the "holds it all together person," is very competent and attentive to the details of the entire operation. The therapists - Brian, Glen and Jamie are professional, friendly and have good senses of humor. As a result, I have looked forward to my sessions and did not feel in any way that they were a chore I had to endure. I have never been able to describe therapy as fun, but that is what my sessions were. I have benefited tremendously from their treatments. I improved, not only in original script for treatment, but additionally am enjoying the benefits of the unexpected improvements. I introduced to different therapy modalities I had not experienced before and was impressed at their creativity in the challenges they used to keep me progressing well without being subjected to challenges they didn't think I could handle. Lastly, anticipating my needs was something beyond my expectations. So, I highly recommend Ivy Physical Therapy and will definitely use their services any time in the future.
