Now I know why Ed at Heritage Lighting Services has such rave reviews here on Yelp! SHORT VERSION: He managed to get an odd contemporary LED floor lamp working again for me when all other avenues failed. LONG VERSION: About 10 years ago at Lamps Plus, I purchased a very modern looking Possini Euro Design Magnum torchiere lamp that has an adjustable reading light arm. The top of the lamp and the reading lamp arm each have embedded LEDs and 3-position dimmer switches. The lamp had been working reliably for all these years until I accidentally managed to break the very odd "wall wart" AC adapter/LED driver unit so that it could no longer be plugged into any electrical socket. I attempted to contact both the manufacturer and Lamps Plus for assistance in purchasing a replacement for the power supply, but neither of them even bothered to reply. I was also unable to locate another of the same power supply units anywhere on the Internet, and I was surprised to find that there are few if any lamp repair services here in the Henderson & Las Vegas area. It looked like my otherwise perfectly functioning lamp would have to be thrown out. Fortunately, I then found Heritage Lighting Services here on Yelp! When I tried calling, I heard a pre-recorded message from Ed suggesting that anyone needing repairs should send a text message describing the problem. I sent a detailed text message that explained my situation, and I included all of the tiny "fine print" specifications that were printed on the now-damaged AC adapter. A short while later, Ed replied to my text message. He apologized for the fact that he did not have the necessary parts and experience to repair my LED lamp or its damaged power supply. I told him I understood, but was disappointed because he was basically my one hope for salvaging the lamp, so he offered to look online for an adapter with similar power specs that could be substituted for the damaged original one. Just a few minutes later, he texted me again to say that he had found an alternative AC power adapter online that seemed to meet my lamp's electrical requirements, and it could be delivered to him within a couple of days. Naturally, I told him to go ahead and order it. Three days later, I drove to his workplace and dropped off my torchiere lamp plus the broken original power adapter. Just a couple of hours later, Ed sent me a text message to report that he had removed the old connector at the end of the lamp's power cable and replaced it with the new plug to connect the lamp to the new power supply, and my lamp was now working perfectly. I drove back to his location, where he demonstrated that the lamp was now ready for use again -- and the repair charge was extremely reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about Ed, a lighting repair pro with a friendly and helpful personality. He was a pleasure to deal with, and I can recommend him highly. read more

Oh my gosh! What a fantastic find for help with "anything with a cord or plug" to quote the owner. Do yourself a favor - if you want to keep it, and not add to the landfills something that can be repaired. Call them and make an appointment. We would like to thank Lamps Plus Henderson for referring this awesome man to us. We had issues on cabinet lightings. One day my husband had to deal with switch issues, so he had to kill the power in the house. When he turned the power back on, the next day I found out the whole cabinet lights can't be turned on any more. We hired a couple of electricians, but none of them are experienced for the cabinet lightings. Something somewhere must be triggered. We stopped by Lamps Plus one day, assistant manager San was there, referred us to contact Ed. We had to order a new dinner, we did. Ed came back, the result was, he fixed it. He is always on time, has a good attitude and personality. We are so happy to work with him. The price is fair. We highly recommend anyone to use Ed. I had a small lamp repaired, and am very happy overall! I left a message during closed hours, and received a call the following morning. The lamp was dropped off soon after, and picked up the next day. Friendly customer service, and am happy to support local business. (I knocked over my lamp and broken a part with the bulb. I am turning the guy in for elder abuse. He took a perfectly functioning lamp that was brought to him to attach a lamp shade. Where the light bulb screws, the wires needed to be disconnected, the lampshade attached and the wires reconnected. No parts, 5 minutes of time and he charged $145.00 and left the lampshade off. So my wallet has $145.00 less in it than before and my lamp is just the same as when I brought it in to him. I asked for my money back and he said bring the lamp back and I will take the wires and plug. I said will you put my wires and plug back on. The lamp had just been rewired, never used. It was coming in for assistance with the shade, worked like a champ. I just wanted to fit a custom shade to the lamp. Horrid macho can do know wrong attitude. Ugly person. I could tell before I brought the lamp to him, from the phone and indeed he has the deameanor of a crook. Does not want to rectify the situation read more

I had an older halogen track light that went out so I called Lamp Plus where I purchased it years ago...they referred me to Heritage Lighting. I decided it would be better to go with an energy efficient LED track light instead of repairing. I ordered the new track light from Lamps Plus...it arrived today around 12:00...called Ed at Heritage Lighting and he came out the same day and installed it. Ed was masked up and very personable...I will definitely call him again for any future lighting issues. read more

Dave was refered to us by Lamps Plus of Henderson. We had been having intermittant problems for some two years with an ultra-modern chandelier they had sold us. Nobody, not even the manufacturer, was able to tesolve the problem. Even though the electronics were 25 feet up, Dave was able to methodically eliminate all problems and find a permanent solution. Heritage Lighting is awesome. I accidently broke a glass globe shade on my wife's(family heirloom)lamp. Needed re-wiring but was still intact. Dave and JoAnne (owners) are nice people...convince me there's still a chance. Rewired the lamp and now it is at least functional. Keeping me abreast on finding a glass globe to fit (while he is traveling) the lamp. My moneys on Dave closing the deal! When completed, will be a Win-Win situation. We had an issue with our lighting, and our usual handyman wasn't able to fix it as there were sparks and he wasn't comfortable. We called Dave and he got it up and working. He had to rebuild a portion that he took with him and brought back. He was able to come out on the day we called and had it working the following day!
