December of 2024 I took my daughter in for Braces. I paid the copay up front so we would not have any payments left out of pocket. Nine months later Herirahe Modern Dentistry comes back and said the office made a mistake and now I owe an addition $800. I was informed the individual in the office that made the mistake was terminated. This should have been a write off due to this is there mistake and I have invoice that said I paid in full. They also informed well we dont want you to go in collections although this is our mistake. I dont recommend this place and please take your business elsewhere. There was no forgiveness, empathy, or real accountability for their mistake that was caught close to 9 months later. I couldn't recommend them enough! I came to this office after a myriad of issues at Ideal Dental, the main and most concerning issue being incorrect quotes based on my insurance's negotiated pricing and coverage. This office was a breath of fresh air! I came in for an initial visit and scheduled a molar and three winsome teeth extractions. The out of pocket quote was accurate and the staff was incredible so I continued to scheduled services. I've since had a follow-up exam, three fillings, and a cleaning and each of these visits match what my insurance provider Cigna said I should have paid out of pocket! CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PROVIDER!!! I made an appt 2 months in advance for myself & my child's first dentist appt. Fast forward to the appt date, the dentist office calls to notify me that my dentist "had an emergency" & will be out for two weeks. I was then told that the dentists' next available appt was not until NEXT MONTH! This is unacceptable & this dentist office had no resolution other than making an appt for next month! If you have the option to use another provider,please do so. Unfortunately this is the ONLY dental provider that sees minor children on my insurance plan. Overall, the staff was very professional and friendly. My complaint is for the dentist herself. First time at this particular dentist. I get my examination and the dentist recommends a deep cleaning. Anyway...the insurance lady comes in and goes over the cost. It would cost $740 out of pocket. I tell her I decline. She says okay and leaves. A few minutes later, they both return. The dentist asks, "so did you have any questions about the deep cleaning?" I reply, no. To which she says, "you're just declining the deep cleaning your dentist recommended?" She then says, "okay. We'll have you sign a declination letter then you can find another office for a second opinion and continue your care there." I was taken aback. Seriously. I wasn't sure I heard what I heard or if I misinterpreted it. She basically said, "since you don't want this out of pocket $740 treatment (with a reoccurring cost of almost $200 to continue the treatment every few months) you can take your business elsewhere." Fortunately for everyone, I will take that advice and receive my care elsewhere. read more

Run! They violated my personal information without my authorization. The office is dirty. Fly on the floor! Did it land on the dental instruments? When was the last time this place was cleaned? My x-rays from another office was two months old but they needed new ones. This tells me money is more important than your health. I would recommend going someplace else. read more

The reception team is GREAT! The dental assistants are amazing. My CEREC is not. I've had these done before and had great results. This tooth is misshapen even after touch ups. My 4 other CEREC from 3 other dentists felt like a virgin tooth with no filling or repair. It's so oddly shaped that I can't clear food from the gum line in the back of my mouth. read more

I went in to get a tooth extraction by Dr. Park. Not the best thing to go see a dentist for but dealing with a tooth ache is not ideal either. Dr Park was very nice and helpful, after 6 days of the operation I had gotten my stiches out and everything healed up nicely. During the operation I felt nothing but a little pressure every now and then and the shots weren't too bad either. The front desk staff was very friendly and empathetic to me, didn't wait very long to be seen by a dental hygienist. The best part is that I do not have dental insurance currently and I was able to make payment plans to get the operation done. I would recommend this dentistry for my friends and family, also I would recommend seeing Dr. Park for all your dental needs! I took my 3 year old twins here, it was an awesome experience and the kids did really well and the staff was very kind. The next week I bit the bullet and went in for myself. I have major dental anxiety, I hate the dentist I hate every part of going and I avoid it at all costs. However they had done really well with my kids and I had chipped a tooth and needed to go in. I went in and was really nervous, but everything was really easy. Xrays and photos were taken of my teeth, I was seated in patient room, the dentist came in and did an exam and explained all the issues he saw. Most of which I was already aware of, but it was nice to know he was seeing it all. He took my anxiety and tooth sensitivity seriously, which I am incredibly thankful for. We broke the treatment into 2 sessions, and I am looking forward to going back next week and getting the last of it done. I have delta dental and did not find the prices to be as expensive as others have found them. read more

I have been going to Heritage Modern Dentistry for three years, since we moved to the area. I have lived in seven states all over this country and had dentists in all of them. This is by far the best ever. Are they expensive? Well you get what you pay for. If I wanted discount bargain dentistry maybe I'd go to a sleazy place in south Ft Worth. While I don't like some of the pricing, I have found that it is always negotiable. Remember, it's a business first folks. Like going to a car dealership, they will offer you the best make and model. About every other time I'm in a cash strapped situation. So I look at Elisabeth who is setting up the payment situation, and I ask if it's necessary. Or why does it cost so much?? Or what is it I am paying for? And she explains. And then if I can't afford it I tell them and we figure what I truly need or cost effective solutions. It's not hard folks, just have to communicate. As I have found, they will bend over backwards to make sure you getting treatment that you need at a price point that works. Or set up a payment plan. As for service, I'd give it more than five stars if I could. Even the assistants are awesome. Andy and Stacey killed it this past visit. I didn't take amazing care of my teeth growing up, so my 20 year old fillings needed some work or replacement. They were great to have assisting. Funny and congenial. Pleasant and not snooty. Cleaning is always a scary thing. When I started here I realized they do a different type of cleaning than a normal hygienist. It's not for everyone. Periodontal cleaning is intense, and it does cause me to bleed. And sure it costs a little more. But man is it worth it! I have been seeing Christy for years. She's by far thee best for cleanings. While the others I'm sure are just as good, Christy is awesome. Then there is the whole actual Dentist thing. I used to see a guy who is no longer at the practice. I thought he was good. Then I was in one day and got to work with Dr Zhanna Devyatkina. Dr Z I truly the best dentist ever. Again, I've been in seven states and had multiple people work excessively in my mouth and on my teeth. She is hands down the one with the most control, the gentlest touch, and smart whitty spirit that makes me comfortable to come back. I would recommend her to anyone. She has done five fillings and a couple crowns for me, and now I won't use anyone else. Do you pay a little more? Possibly. (Remember it also depends on your insurance. So if your insurance sucks, take that up with your employer, not the office) is everything necessary? No. But it is recommended. There is a HUGE difference when you get deep cleaning. It's worth it. Dr Z and Christy and team is awesome. Like I said, I'd give more stars if I could. Don't believe a couple bad experiences. And if you really feel like it's not amazing, tell them in person. I know for a fact they will do everything they can to fix it. I've seen it happen. And here's a pic of me with Dr Zhanna to show I'm real. And I've never taken a selfie with my dentist before!! **edit #1 I'm in the process of getting a crown replaced. I had to be rescheduled so that the specialty crown could be killed and prepped. With some pain in my mouth as the bite was a little off with the temporary, I called to see if they can get me in an earlier than my appointment time t which is three days away. I called and talked with Kyle. I explain and he puts me on hold. Unbeknownst to me he actually called Doctor Z at home to get her input. He then tells me so and he did so because she is always willing to take calls if it's patient related. Not only are they able to squeeze me in 48 hours early but I also got to see another reason why I love this office and Dr Zhanna. She really is the best dentist I have ever been with. read more

Don't go here unless you want to pay more than you thought. I have a dental discount plan, Careington 500 which has negotiated prices for dental treatments. I scheduled 2 appointments, one for my daughter and one for my son for cleanings, exams and xrays. They gave me the negotiated price for those things, but then they upsold me on antibacterial fluoride treatments for each of my kids at $100 each, plus the normal fluoride treatment which they charged $30 apiece for. They also sold an additional antibacterial rinse to my daughter for another $30. All told I ended up being charged $350 for two cleanings, xrays, exams and fluoride treatments. Then I was called back to meet the dentist about my son, who has some missing adult teeth (I knew this going in). I thought there was some serious issue. The dentist wanted to know our plans for my son, and I told him that we are considering orthodontia to help space his teeth properly. He scoffed and told me orthodontia would run us about $5K was a waste of money and in his opinion 16 crowns for my son would be the better treatment, and since he could see I have my hands full (my middle daughter was with us, she is in a wheelchair), he would be happy to do all 16 crowns at "his cost", a mere $10K. My son is 17 so he started pitching this expensive and yet entirely cosmetic dentistry to my son, told him he could work over the summer and save the money himself, that he would help him out and get him a good deal, just come back and talk to him. I was told oh incidentally he has no cavities, just this impacted baby molar that needs to be extracted. Please schedule an appointment with the dental surgeon and get that extracted. I was given a quote for $262 for dental surgery to extract this baby molar that had not fallen out on its own. I asked if this rate was the rate from my discount plan, and was told that Yes, this was the contracted rate. I told them I would have to call back and let them know when we could come in. When I got home I called Careington and gave them the code given on the estimate and was told that Heritage Modern Dentistry should have quoted $140 for this treatment, plus $26 for the nitrous and they should have given me 20% off on the charges that weren't contracted rates, that I was charged for fluoride, etc. I took my son to another dentist who examined him, took an xray and extracted the baby tooth. Cost of the extraction, $76. The new dentist also felt that 16 crowns was extremely excessive, and my son should consult an orthodontist. Heritage Modern Dentistry is raising the prices for contracted dental discount plans, and quoting outrageous dental work that is entirely unnecessary. Don't go here! They will overcharge, overdiagnose and rip you off. They also won't give you an itemized bill unless you ask, and when you do, they give you one without the medical codes on it. They won't give your xrays to a new dentist, you have to call to get them sent to your email, and guess what? The new dentist will have to retake them anyway. Don't go to this dentist!! read more

They provide good dental care but their office staff is unprofessional. I have been using this office a few years but recently within the last year they have done very poorly at communicating regarding canceling appointments at the last minute because their provider wasn't going to be there. And more important refunding over payments that I paid after my insurance company has paid them. Their office staff doesn't ever "know how to look at how claims are processed" 10 months later and they still haven't refunded $700 over payment. read more

I used to go to this dentist back in 2015 and I stopped going and I don't remember why. I saw them at the Christmas party in 2018 and they were so nice! The office manager was so sweet. I called about 2 weeks ago for an appointment and they told me 2 weeks for it. I was a little mad but I got over it. I had to cancel my scheduled one and they told me it was going to be another 2 weeks for an appointment. I asked why such a big gap and I got snarky response. I decided to not make an appointment and go somewhere else. This has left me feeling disappointed that I was treated this way. My other one is in Keller which is a longer drive but at least I'm not treated poorly. read more

My husband scheduled an appointment at Heritage Modern Dentistry about a month ago. His first visit with Dr. Park went well. At that time he got set up with a mouth guard, told he needs his wisdom teeth removed, and was also told he had a possible cancerous lesion on his tongue. Doctor Park told my husband he would need to see the oral surgeon in order to get this done. Makes sense, he makes the appointment. Fast forward to the day of his appointment with the oral surgeon.. He schedules it a 7:30 AM to get the biopsy done. When he arrived, Dr. Yoo told him he does not do biopsies but pushed him to schedule his wisdom teeth removal at that time. After he left the room another staff member came in and said the Periodontist would have to do the biopsy. So ultimately, my husband wasted his time going in that morning but got himself scheduled with Dr. Karim. This morning ,and the last straw of our patience with Heritage Modern Dentistry, was when he went in for his appointment with Dr. Karim and she also did not do the biopsy. She said it would be best to do it while he is getting his wisdom teeth out with the oral surgeon (who already said he does not do biopsies) and asked my husband to go to the waiting area while she talks to a few people. After being in the waiting room and office staff member told him that since they are all traveling specialists they do not like to do biopsies because the results could be skewed or the doctor won't know where the results are meant to be. She said Dr. Park, who is the owner and operator of that location, would tell Dr. Yoo he has to do the biopsy. She asked my husband if he wanted to schedule it then and he said no, he wanted confirmation that it was going to happen. She told him she would confirm with everyone and get back to him that day. Unsurprisingly, he never got the call. I am not a "name and shame" person who goes around writing bad reviews on companies; however, to tell a human being that they could have CANCER in their mouth and then essentially play "hot potato" with their treatment afterward is unacceptable and frankly, heartless. At this point, it seems like this practice just wants to get him scheduled for surgery and maybe someone will feel like doing a biopsy at that time. So now, we are forfeiting the $100 deposit he had to put down to remove his wisdom teeth (with no appoint scheduled - still confused about that) in order to find an oral surgeon who will actually respect their patient's time and treat them with dignity. Like I said, I hate that I am writing a review on a public forum, but if it stops this from happening to someone else it will have been worth it. read more

Despite the horrible reviews I was pleasantly suprised by this dentist's office. Myself and 2 of my kids had appointments here on 2 different days recently. My children like the tv screen on the ceiling in some of the exam room. Kids get a balloon, prize from the treasure chest and electric oralB toothbrush on the first visit. Kids love prizes! The receptionists are not all friendly, but the hygienists are friendly. In the last I have gone to the dentist and had a cleaning, then exam, then discussion of what the dentist recommended for later treatment, if any. This was different and definitely seemed set up to "up sell". I spoke with the dentist, she did an exam, the hygienist came in and measured my gums to determine the cleaning she would recommend, then the billing clerk came in to show me what the dentist and hygienist recommended and I selected what services I wanted for the day. They were upfront on costs, but I was surprised that all this occurred without getting a basic cleaning. I loved Janda, the hygienist who deep cleaned my teeth. She was compassionate, friendly and very alert to if I was in pain. I will go back. read more

Arrived to find out the hygienist decided we needed a deep cleaning for over $200 a piece! They refused a regular cleaning. Rediculous. Nice folks but if I wanted to experience a car dealer experience I would have gone to a car dealership. Because of an insurance change I had to find a new dentist. I had just been to my old dentist in June whereupon he told me that he wished all patients cared for their teeth as well as I do. So when the hygienist started calling out high gum readings (5mm instead of usual 2-3mm) red flags started raising. Then the hygienist recommended that she do a deep cleaning. Then the very sweet dentist came in a did a good job of discussing my dental history and x-rays. Then the finance gal comes in and tells me everything they recommend will be $243 but they can't clean my teeth today because a vendor has brought lunch into them and it's lunch time. After paying my $5 copay, the finance gal says without me even negotiating that they can do the recommended treatments for $143. I'm getting my records and finding another new dentist. Unless you like going to the dealership, find a different dentist. read more

I went to Heritage Modern Dentistry yesterday after reading all the rave reviews that the dentists here had here on Yelp. I must say... To say that I am a little disappointed would be quite an understatement. I am presently a member of Cigna's DHMO program and I was ecstatic to find that this modern, up-to-date clinic was covered by my insurance. The staff are friendly enough, and everyone was bright and smiling and there was not a very long wait from when I came in to when I saw the hygienists to start my appointment. They had a bit of trouble working the dental X-rays, but it's easy enough to understand that. After the X-rays, everything went downhill. Unlike any other dentist I have ever been to, the checkup did -not- come with a cleaning, namely because after probing my gums, they decided that I needed a 'deep cleaning' and they also said that I had a few cavities that needed filling. They had also deemed that the resin filling on one tooth had failed. The way they had played this down, I hadn't thought that this was going to be terribly expensive or all too far out of the routine. A cavity or two that needed filling? Not -great- but not life-endingly terrible. Here came the hidden sales pitch! The 'filling' they tried to put in my mouth was a Ceric onlay, considered a 'cosmetic dentistry' option and thus -not- covered by insurance! Did they tell me this before prescribing it? NO! Couple this with them not telling me that -half- the procedure that they were going to be doing during this 'deep cleaning' which turned out to be a scaling and planing procedure was -not- covered by my insurance! The grand total for all of this? If I'd been an unfortunate who -lacked- insurance, they'd have stuck me for a whopping $4500! That's a -lot- for a cleaning and a few fillings! Because I had Cigna, they knocked it down to $2100... which was still ungodly high! I smelled something fishy, then went to get a second opinion from Beyond Smiles on Western Center. Their out of pocket quote (They don't take Cigna) was, I kid you not, $1700! This is compared to the out-of-pocket cost of $4500 at Heritage Modern Dentistry! It gets better, too! I called Cigna up on this... They say that HMD should not have been charging any more than $400 for the cleaning, and that they should have informed me about the Ceric not being covered. Safe to say, I will not be giving these sneaky salespeople my money in the near future. This is neglectful at best and outright shady at worst. You have a choice. Go elsewhere. I'll have it known that I do not step out of my way to leave a negative review of some place unless they earn it. I -love- leaving positive feedback for people, but this is akin to those hospitals that charge a ton of hidden fees. It's not fair to the customer that this place is exploiting Texas laws that allow a dentist to charge whatever they feel like when a procedure is not covered by insurance, and/or maxing out one's insurance payment just to raise the funds in their own paycheck. read more

This establishment was such a Blessing to me. First time patient with an emergency they happily worked me in 45 minutes after initial call. Upon arrival front desk had me feeling at home which followed in the back. From hygienist to physician and all in between were very polite,concerned and knowledgeable. I was having horrible toothaches so I decided to make an apt with them. My wait to be seen was less than 10 minutes which was great! Everyone that worked with/on me was super pleasant and always made sure I was comfortable! Dr. Ragbir was super friendly and very knowledgeable! I have used this practice for for several years for my routine cleanings & check-ups, as well as for repairs, restorations, maintenance, and emergencies. I find Dr. Park and his staff to be friendly, accommodating, experienced and professional. Care is always given to comfort and anxiety. The environment is clean, comfortable inviting. I think good dental health is part of one's overall routine & preventative healthcare. I believe mine is in very good hands with this practice. I have been treated here as well as my husband, for quite a bit of issues from a massive deep cleaning to 2 new crowns and filings. I'm not going to lie, I needed ALL of it. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a few years. Elizabeth (front desk) made every bit of this bearable. She is fantastic. They tried to up-sell me, charged my insurance an outrageous amount, some of which wasn't covered. 20 minutes after I posted, the "new guy from Las Vegas" I hadn't met during my appt, a Dr. Park called to discuss my post. He was very concerned about what I had to say. He actually was in the process of buying the practice and wanted to make things right. So he did! He personally cleaned my teeth two days later and because I really did need a crown, he also did that at a much different $$ than the original quote. This is a great dental office! My family and I have been going here for three years. I had a root canal and my daughter has had her braces here. I was shocked at the reviews. I've been there dozens of times and never experienced what people are saying. The dentist are superb. The hygienist are caring, friendly and patient. The front end staff is so fun and friendly given the fact that they are super busy. I just asked my 15 year old daughter if she likes Modern Dentistry and she stopped in her tracks and with an elevated voice said, "OH MY GOSH YESS!" And I say the same. You will have a great experience. As a side note I've had ONE deep cleaning there. I feel like the people that complain about deep cleanings on YELP also complain about changing the air filter in their car when they get their oil changed. read more

Only go here if you enjoy getting taken advantage of financially and with your time. My husband and I spent 2 hours there only to be charged for services they didn't provide. We did their $59 deal, went in, got our x-rays and a joke of an exam. The dentist kept telling me what beautiful teeth I have and told me what a great job I do brushing. He then proceeded to do his "exam." No check for cavities. He used the x-rays and a glance and decided I needed a "deep cleaning." After lecturing me on how I need to go to the dentist more often (Yes, thank you. I'm an adult. That's precisely why I came to the dentist with the intention of setting up regular 6-month cleanings) he left and said his finance person (aka the receptionist) would come talk to me about the "deep cleaning." The receptionist came in and told me I would need a $770 cleaning and that they would not do a regular cleaning because it's "just a polishing" and I needed more (for my "beautiful" teeth). She then lectured me on whether or not it was worth it to not have dental insurance and to pay out of pocket. Again, I'm an adult and you don't know my situation, lady. She was almost arrogant about it and treated me like a child. I declined setting up the appointment right away because I wanted to wait to see what they would recommend for my husband. When she talked to me, the dentist hadn't even performed my husband's exam, and she seemed to know he would need the same thing since she offered to go over payment plans for both our treatments. I waited for a good 40 minutes before she called me back to the exam room where my husband was waiting and dropped the bomb that he would need the $770 cleaning as well (shocker!). We went to "discuss financing options," which are a joke, by the way, and then when my husband told her we would like to shop around and get a second opinion, the smile was wiped off her face and she told us to "have a good day." The dentist called me three days later to see how we thought the visit went and when I confronted him he said, and I quote (in a very demeaning tone), "Well, Heather, you did not talk to me about the issues you were having." (During the visit, when he said "What issues are you having?" I said "Absolutely none. I just need a cleaning.") He then tried to justify the scam of a dental practice he has going on over the phone. Please, PLEASE do not give them the satisfaction of having patients walk through their door. While I was waiting in the waiting room, they were talking about their payment options with another patient who was not happy about it either. There are SO many dental offices in the area, choose a different one. I insist...so does your wallet and your schedule. read more

It is unfortunate that I am unable to leave less than one star. This is by far the worst dentist office experience I have ever had in my life (and I have been to dentists in foreign countries). The front desk staff was rude and brusque, treating me like livestock instead of a new client. I checked in at 1pm (with an appointment and all my paperwork submitted per their online tool in advance as requested) and was still sitting at 1:37 when I went up to ask for an update. I went to this dentist this Tuesday my dental insurance changed so I had to find a new dentist. I go every year and take care of my teeth, but when this dentist did my exam I was told I have serval bone lose and needing a deep cleaning and my out of pocket cost would be $1090.00. I told them this is new to me and I would be going back to my prior dentist for a second look. The dentist and the front desk person kept pushing me to get this cleaning down today and that I would look into their financial plan. I told them there is no way a deep cleaning cost this much. I didn't even pay that over he 10 yrs I seen my last dentist. This place is a scam!! Do not use this dentist. They are taking advantage of people plus all the reviews I have read on this company they all match my experience. read more

Beware of the "warranty" they offer on their fancy in-house cerec work. I tried to use it today and it is only good if you have continued being a patient there and gotten your cleanings precisely every 6 months with them. I moved dentists due to an insurance change. I can't believe how much everyone who has reviewed said basically the same thing! Deep cleaning for every patient, (husband )$700.00, then crown (me) $944.00, then wouldn't clean my teeth because I didn't want the deep cleaning for another $700.00. This was our first and last time! 4 hrs in the office, dentist going in and out of room, hygienist in and out! So average of $400.00 an hour! I wish I got paid that much! My wife and I have been having a hard time finding a good dentist until we found Heritage Modern Dentistry. From my first visit and all future visits we had a wonderful personality named Mikki that took great care of us. She was that person that knew everything about her job and could help where ever needed. She handled multiple schedule changes caused by me being a parent with no attitude or problem. We found at our last visit that Mikki was no longer there and you could tell by how the office seemed chaotic. Still love Dr Xahna (sp?) and Kristy (sp?) the hygienist. Great work and they are very personable. But not having an all star running the front lines will be hard to keep people coming back in. Mikki made Dr appointments easy and less chaotic. My wife demands we find where ever she goes next. read more

Kerry Ragbir and his people are top notch. I have horrible anxiety around dentistry. They worked with me, slowly, following my cues, letting me take breaks. His assistant was also kind and patient with me. Allison was efficient and patient. They let me come in without any dental work being done to discuss options and ask how I wanted to do things. THEN, they came in on their day off to do the work since I have a demanding work schedule. Happy to report this is my first dental visit in 10 years without a panic attack. I hope I never need anything more than a cleaning, but if I do, I'm glad they are there. read more
