Unfortunately i wasn't able to explore like i wanted too but i do see hope. There were several trails within in trails but due to the ICY PATCHES and not having spike boots - i had to walk in the road which was very clear. i'll definitely be back.

I love this park! They have a beautiful playground, nature trail, different trails to walk in the forest, and a free splash pad. They have bbq areas, restrooms, bbq tables and tables with umbrellas next to the restrooms, and a lot of trees to hide in the shade and watch your kids enjoying splash pad. I have to drive 20 minutes to get there but it totally worth it.

I end up in heritage park with the promise of see deers. It's a big park, with numerous paths to walk by. Be sure to read where are you walking because you can get lost. They have a long parking lot at the entrance. Also there's a little museum of the nature there and a water park, lots of benchs and enough trash cans.

Such a beautiful park with some of the BEST trails. Make sure to check out the Nature Center and all their cool animals. They have a pet bunny named Twist who can meet your kiddos or you! There is also an archery range that has some of the most affordable prices. They have a Groupon out as well for discounted rates. Search Riley Archery. There is a splash pad and large playground that's great for kids. There is soooo much to do I don't even know if I can name everything. You should definitely go check them out though. Especially if you enjoy walking trails. They have dirt and paved ones. No dogs allowed by the way!

It's nice to have this park nearby. You can go in the evening or week end when you need to have your little ones enjoy the time. Main thing is the splash pad which toddlers will love. Make sure to bring towels and extra outfits. It has grilling stations next to the play area. You can do grilling and keep watching the kids playing near by. It has volley court and you can play when you have people. It has open theater kind of set up. I have once attended a music/dance event. It was very nice.

Great space to get away on the trails. Love seeing all the deer. Walking at dusk will assure seeing many deer sometimes so close could almost touch. The spray park is great for kids. Love the annual family camp out in June. Great summer day camps also

This place is awesome. Large park with plenty of parking, picnic tables, hiking trails, play areas and a nature center. Our mission was to go for a walk and then visit the playground and splash pad. We started off on our walk and saw a sign warning about poison ivy -- I appreciate the warning. So we were on the look out for "leaves of 3 - let it be!". We saw quite a bit of it and decided to end our walk sooner rather than later, as it is challenging to keep the little guy away from the edge of the trail. Next time we will bring the backpack to put him in so it won't be a concern. Next, we headed over to the splash pad and playground. How fun! We loved the splash pad. Lots of room and tons of different fountains, buckets and water features fie kids of all ages. Everyone was having a blast - splashing and playing. Lots of room nearby to picnic or hang out. We had a wonderful time at Heritage Park. Looking forward to exploring the Nature Center on a future visit.

We came for the first time for jogging in a afternoon. We jogged river trail and Spicer trail and river loop. These are all in the shade which I really liked. Saw many ppl on the other side of the park with water splashing park for kids, and picnic, and BBQ ing. We also saw mom and baby deer! Quite a nice park. The only thing is there is no lake, which is fine for jogging purpose.

I love this park. Great memories as a kid wandering the fields, and hiking the hills in the woods.

Beautiful park. So much to see and our kids love the impressively run spring break outdoor survival camp!

They are not dog friendly. I would remove the dog friendly status from the site before more people show up with a pet and have to leave.

Went with several adult friends and their children on a very hot day, when thankfully the splash pad was open.

Small parking lot that you can see once you crossover 696 on Farmington Rd. Before you get to the main trail you pass the restrooms which is not modern at all. Didn't know you could have something that is closer to the outhouses of my rural southern Ohio childhood than normal gas station ones you find up here. Trails are mostly dirt with some wood chips so think ahead before you try to hike after a night of heavy rain. A few other hikers learned the hard way that expensive tennis shoes wont be as nice if you go too far. I had my Keds on but not your grandmother's Keds but water proof ankle high boots Keds. Besides a few slides on a hill, worked wonderful walking thru wet parts. Enough benches and trail markers to let you rest and not get lost, it is a good way to spend an hour or two. I didn't get all the way back to the pond due to the heavy rain night before, I managed to spend an hour enjoying here and remembering the woods I played in as a child. If you have children, get them off their games and out into the sun. Take them to a place they can get dirty and see bugs and butterflies upclose and personal. Just don't let them wear their good shoes or jeans like the mother I saw coming back to the parking lot with muddy kids.
