The playground is what every 2-8 year old has wished for their WHOLE lives. Looks like a pirate ship, has a fast slide...what more do you need? We do not tennis. But I am sure it is wonderful. There are 2 pools. First one is a kiddie and honestly, I wish they had a splash pad in it's place. It is very shallow and just kind of boring. The other is a 6 lane pool with a dive tank - and my kids think it is amazing. They have a swim team and lessons. We are just going to play in the pool this summer, then try for the team in the future. The "clubhouse" is small, there are not lockers. Bathrooms are clean and seemingly just got upgraded. There are grills about to make food, and they have a small snack station. I guess there was hot food previously, but they are investigating whether it makes sense to reopen? Not sure, I'm new. Currently there is pop, water, chips and ice cream. So basically every kid food group. I am super excited for this summer, it is already fun!

I've been taking their advanced beginner clinics new for a few months and am beyond happy with the instruction. Coaches Taylor ans Niklas are both excellent and both coach and challenge to be better players. The entry level membership is currently $119 and while it's primarily for tennis programming access, you can also take advantage of these benefits: private swim and tennis lessons -group tennis classes for children and adults -dance classes and summer camps -summer all sports camps and tennis camps -adult swimming lane rental -swim team (tryouts required) -pickleball, tennis court rental -golf simulator rental -exercise class packages -esports gaming center -free open swim on Sat & Sun 1:00-4:00pm - service is offered until April 2024.  They offer another membership which icludes the fitness center and group-fit classes, but I've not explored those options yet. The staff are friendly and it's a huge complex. I totally recommend checking it out!

OK this takes some explaining.....If you have ever driven on 696 by Orchard Lake Road there is a walking bridge that goes over the freeway. That now new bridge connects Harrison High Shcool and The Swim Club. The club is secluded in the back of the Kimberley Subdivision behind the elementary school. One nice thing this club does in June is they sponsor the Make-A-Wish Foundation http://www.wish.org/ charity where they have an open club during the day long event and have a bbq, and a silent auction to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. There are quite a few things to do at this club. They have tennis for people of all ages. They have a tennis team that plays against other clubs. There is and adult tennis tournament. They have a swim team that competes in the NSSL swim league against other swim clubs. They have social events, like kids day,adult night, pancake breakfast, family picnic. You may even choose to lay on the lounge chairs and just catch a few rays. This is a private club, but if you are interested call the membership person and get a one day pass and check it out. It's a nice way to spend your summer. The members are friendly. It's worth a one day pass.

The gym is excellent for me. They have a wide variety of equipment, which is plus for me. There is a good amount of free weights, dumbbells, and kettle bells. The Sports Club has a some cable equipment, and a QueenEx (like a jungle gym) which has TRX-type equipment. They have a number of machines. There is not a lot of open space in the gm, but there is enough room for normal workout. At a couple of times the gym can be packed, but normally there is plenty of space. And, there are times the gym is completely empty. There is a cardio section on a different level from the gym, which has treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, etc...They also have a short track around the gym area, which people walk. The classes are very good. Most people could get by taking the classes (which are included) in place of a personal trainer (they have those, as well). My Favorite thing - Towell service. I need a towel when I workout, and I cannot express how much I love that The Sports Club has them available. They do a pretty good job keeping the facility clean. The staff is generally friendly and accommodating. The only real downside for me is the building needs some upkeep, and the parking is a disaster - think grocery store. The club is on the expensive side for running on a treadmill, but it is well priced if you make use of all the club offers.

In my opinion, their cardio is great and the weight machines, which were updated last year, are also very good. I like the quiet, non-assuming atmosphere. For the most part, patrons keep to themselves and that is fine. The gym is basically clean and they provide wipes to clean the machines after using them. I like that. The reason for the lower rating is that for all the years I have been a member, there are but a handful of, actual, friendly staff members. A few great ones that go back a long way, but for the most part, the staff is not welcoming or at all personable. So, do not join for the customer service, just come for the good equipment and cleanliness. And one big thing is that during the summer, the ac is never adequate! Adding ceiling fans would be a welcome addition to the workout facility!

After attending several tennis clubs in a couple states over the past decade, I feel that the tennis professionals are top notch. They teach the mechanics, strategy and point tactics to their students while enforcing sound sportsmanship and integrity. In addition, the staff is excellent. They have always been helpful and extremely courteous. We could not be any happier with the decision and recommend BT to anyone interested in tennis.
