The only thing I had a problem with is the racial profiling I received from an Asian family; it was beyond disrespectful and I wasn't doing anything wrong at all. I was just walking to the swings and these people suspected that I was going to steal their children. Now, the Caucasians here didn't give me a problem; they were actually pretty friendly.

There are many areas of the path that are slightly uneven. The asphalt is starting to show wear and tear. There are not obvious pot holes along the running area but it is slightly uneven. Pay attention to where you are stepping so you don't end up with a sprained ankle. There are some parts of the path where you will be walking on the road. If you are not walking or running, there is a playground area and a multi-purpose field. There are also pavilions that can be used. I would assume they can be reserved but I do not know that for a fact. It is dog friendly but is not considered a dog park. All pets should be kept on leashes. Bottom line: A decent urban park located in Friendswood. Decent running trails but are starting to show their age. Could use an upgrade. Upgrades could result in more stars. Until then, I'll give them three stars.

But one day I decided to just go for it and if I needed to run, I had on my best running shoes. Well, I've been coming for a month now and I haven't seen not one snake. Take the hike. You will be happy you did. It's super peaceful. It's our favorite park. Lots of running room for my pup. There are deers there, she loves to chase them, but keep in mind they are there.

Webster has some really nice…read moreparks; I wish I had realized that sooner, but now that I am running more, and looking for different places to run during my longer runs, I have stumbled across this little hidden gem. I always knew it was here, and we actually stopped by here one year around Christmas time as they decorate the little gazebo with white lights. It's very pretty, and very romantic, but after that time I sorta forgot it was here. Yesterday though I was on a long run and decided to see if this park has a running trail. And it does! It's only 1/4 of a mile but a lot of it is shady (nice!) and I love the surface! It's not gravel like Texas Avenue and it's softer than asphalt. It feels like the surface that's on an actual track. And bonus, there's NOBODY here. If you want a quiet, solitary run, come here! There was one lady and her young child at the playground area and as I was leaving another runner came along. That's it. Maybe it gets busier later, or at different time, I don't know. Now granted, this is a small park. No bathrooms, no water fountains, and just a couple little playground areas. But lots of picnic tables and benches and the nice gazebo, and of course the little track. But for a nice little quiet run in a nice little quiet neighborhood, this is the place to be! It really is comforting & relaxing to view. The jungle gym is a 1-up from Crenshaw, because the slides go underground and it is so monstrous for kids. Even though, I know I cannot play on it it's still great to look at and kids do enjoy it! The trails are amazing feel for any adult to find solace!

Upon entering we were greeted, paid ($25 for play, $5 arcade, slice of pizza, socks and a drink), stamped, and let in. The play space was jammed pack! Full of children and parents. All along the walls are large black chairs for parents to sit and watch their kids. I'm not gonna lie. This place is a lot and I wouldn't recommend this place to parents/ guardians younger than 4-5 y/o. It's hard for adults to see their kids unless they are in the "playground" with them. Which can be tight and awkward. All in all it's okay.

I however was…read moreseverely disappointed with the staff this afternoon (5/23/26 @4:00PM) As I would have hoped this staff was aware, they are working in an environment of children, small children to be specific. I watched a mother trying to aid her child who had just had an accident. (peed at the front steps of the first play area) This mother asked not one, but THREE staff members for either napkins or some sort of wipe to clean her child and the play area up. Why did the staff find it appropriate to stand behind the front desk giggling in this mother's face about her child peeing? Not only did they not help this mother get any form of paper towels, but they felt the need to also gossip about this to the other staff members that passed by... the only person I saw actually attempt to clean the area in a timely manner was a young man in a blue and red flannel. Luckily I had some baby wipes on me and was able to give these to the mother to clean her child up. I am severely disappointed with today's staff and I hope the manger at minimum speaks with them about their unacceptable and unprofessional behavior.

I've seen rabbits, deers, birds and other small creatures on this trail as I've walked it. I'm still trying to figure out what is the earliest time this park opens--I've got here at 5 am and people are already walking on the park. I guess I need to get here at 4:30 am just to walk. It great to bike ride, walk, power walk, jogging, or running trails. Dogs love it--and I'm not sure if cat lovers walk their cats...that just seems pretty strange. There's nothing like a morning walk that doesn't get you ready for your day ahead!

Taking in nature as you walk is a really beautiful thing. It makes me feel pretty zen. Yeah!! I don't know how many miles the entire walk is but I think it's six. People bike here and there is also two playgrounds for the kiddos. Or if you want to have a picnic there are covered tables. They also have benches to watch the kids or have a romantical conversation in the moonlight......before ten because that's when the park closes. Opens again at five. You probably don't want to go too late if you are a female by yourself as it is heavily wooded and after dark you got to watch out for serial killers and snakes in the grass. Yes, I have seen a snake before. Yes, I did run as if my feet were on fire. There are also bunnies that come out of the woods. Cute, feral bunnies. Bring a friend or two and get your run, walk, or jog on. Come twice a day if you are about that life.
