He never filed a single document in court on my behalf, and worse yet, the 8 month gap between when I hired him and when I fired him has cost me my relationship with my daughter. He would go weeks without responding to my emails and he almost never responded to my phone calls. I have attached pictures of emails where he had still not filed a single document on my behalf yet charged me $2500 in additional money., when I thought he was forwarding that money to my daughters attorney, Allison Haltmaier. To be fair, he wound up refunding me around $2200 when I fired him and then threatened to file a grievance against him. If you are seeking a family law attorney, you would be better representing yourself than ever hiring him. You should not represent yourself under any circumstance. Spoke with Gladys Sigua their paralegal on Wednesday November 27th she called to go over the numbers. What got me is that she stated no attorney knows the price of what they charge for a breakdown of court expenses which is complete BULL! I had emailed them 3-5 times regarding this and they left me hanging and blowed me off so they could makeup numbers and transactions for court to benefit themselves- they added two court reporter fees and two mediation court fees- we only went to mediation once and that was on Sept 27th for 2 hrs the second court reporter fee I'm also disputing since I never was advised of a court reporter nor did I receive a transcript unlike I did for the disposition. Gladys don't insult people's intelligence your not my first rodeo retaining a law firm- I've hired at least 2-3 personal injury lawyers in NY and they've never ADDED so many multiple made up charges regarding court expenses and legal services nor did the others verify through Medicare/medicaid regarding outstanding liens- it's just your law firm because you look at ways to pay your client less money since you have some sort of agreement with Medicare/medcaid. Even the other personal injury lawyers I had hired in the past "the attorneys themselves knew how much the court expenses were and legal services amount to because they sent them to me not the paralegal." Also Michael Warycha lost a document I had gave them and contacted me back to re-send it. From the beginning of retaining this law firm to the end after a settlement was obtained HUGE MISTAKE staying with this firm- I don't think this is good way to finish a job with a client.
