We made a mistake with our measurements and when they came to deliver the fridge they couldn't because of our mistake . We had to take out the upper cupboard for the refrigerator to fit . They told us to call back when we did and they would deliver it the next day . So we did and they told us they could . The next day , delivery day they called to say that they could t because their delivery men all had Covid .After several phone calls on our end they finally told us they could deliver it 9 days later . When they did finally deliver it we asked the guys how they were feeling after having Covid ? The delivery man said what are you talking about we didn't have Covid . No one had Covid . Needless to say we will not be doing business with them again. You lie about the delivery and Covid what else are you lying about ? Sad. We wanted to buy local and support local businesses. Is it wrong to expect the business to be honest ?

While we're not big shoppers, it was definitely a holiday tradition... so it was quite sad when Hand of Man closed (after closing in 2019, I believe the store has since re-opened as a general gift shop & home décor-type store). Cut to a couple of months ago, and one of my mother's friends mentioned a Christmas store in Lyons, NY that we might want to visit. We discovered it was this store, fully known as Evolve For the Home - The Christmas Store. I took a vacation day so that we could run a number of holiday-related errands, and stopping at this store was on the list. We weren't really sure what we'd find, but we were pleasantly surprised once we entered the store and it felt somewhat reminiscent of our visits to Hand of Man. There are various Christmas tree displays set up throughout the store, full of ornament and various design colors and themes - including a "Life is better at the beach" tree display, and a corner of cardinal-themed decorations. There's a large variety of ornament, décor, and other home good-options. and I managed to find a couple interesting ornaments - including a bowl of ramen ornament, as well as a packet of Twizzlers ornament (which reminded me of my bff, as he's OBSESSED with Twizzlers). Very cute. It's worth noting that some of the items, including ornaments, are more expensive here than other stores. The "old world"-style glass ornaments probably average $20-$25, and I'm not going to be buying many ornaments at that price range - even if I really like the design. My mother and I each ended up picking up more items than we expected. The folks that were tending the checkout area were lovely, and ensured that we had the boxes that we needed and everything to keep our purchases protected. TL;DR All in all, I enjoyed this store a lot more than I thought I would - and it's nice to have as an option if my mother and I want to bring back one of our holiday shopping traditions.

Martin Water Conditioning, as you may see by the rating, delivered wonderful customer service and support on top of competitive pricing. After drilling a well, my water supply was terrible. I had iron bacteria and hard water with a high Ph balance. Note that it cost $6000 just to drill a well, so I was not looking forward to another large expense. I called 3 different companies to test the water and provide an estimate for their best solution. It came down to Martin and Culligan, because they were specialists in water softening and conditioning- therefore the service would be much better than a general plumbing company. Both specialists seemed trustworthy (I watched to make sure the water they tested actually came from the faucet and not a vial, because I have seen this happen!) Martin's best solution was available for half the cost of Culligan, so I ended up choosing the lower cost and I am very glad I did. After the new water conditioning system was installed, the water still came out fairly brown and muddy/cloudy/dirty. I gave it 24 hours before calling and somebody came right back out (within an hour) to run some tests, change filters, and find the solution. He also helped with some plumbing issues in a second bathroom, and after a few hours of work found that the pipes were still really dirty. He used an air compressor to clean them out and sure enough everything was fixed! Not only is the water crystal clear now, but the second bathroom has no more issues. My point is that it was almost entirely unrelated to the assignment, but they still came out a second time to diagnose and fix the problems I was having. They did not bill me for this second trip, and to me that is a perfect example of what customer service and support should be like. I strongly recommend Martin Water Conditioning!
