The facility is immaculate and clean. From the Gate house to our dining room everyone was accommodating and friendly. For my lunch, I had chosen the fried cod sandwich with coleslaw and pickle and complementary shrimp cocktail. That was only $13.00. I had a cup of coffee, which was delicious and only needed a couple of Splenda's. That means it was a great coffee and my dessert was delicious. The whole bill came to only $22.31 before tip. I have to find out if it's open to the general public. You will have to call on your own earlier in the day to find out. Nobody picked up when I called. Well I did call back and I got through to the golf shop and I have a little sad news for you, you cannot eat there unless someone that lives there invites you or you are there for a special occasion like we were. We asked a foursome of lady's to play through and flat out told us no even though there was a two group backup. Pricy. The good side very well-maintained golf course greens were excellent. Fairways were excellent tees were on the mend, but getting there nicely hats off to the superintendent and crew for a lot of obvious hard work. Shame that the members ruin the outing for us. Don't think it be a course that we return to.

I played at Glenlakes Golf and Country Club for a Veterans day tournament and it was a fantastic…read moreday of golf. Granted it was cold and windy for the better half of the day. It did warm up later in the day though the wind did not let up. The golf tournament was a huge success and they had success. Lots of silent auctions items and well as raffles unfortunately I did not win any of the great prizes offered. Maybe next time my luck will be better. The course was in a good shape and the group I was with had a fun day of golf. Luckily, we had a good grouping and all of us contributed to a low score, not enough to come in on the top 3. So if you know someone who is a member hit them up and play a round, I'm sure you will enjoy your time out in the sunshine.

Hoa has got to be one of the worst in the country, it is super expensive, and the guards are constantly driving around looking for the smallest violation, including damage to homes that are caused by their property (eg. hoa owned well water stains). Some neighbors can be very nosy and snitchy as well. Be careful.

I only went there today because Rivard and Hernando Oaks had leagues starting when I arrived. Do not waste your time or money on Oakhills golf club. They charge $25 for 9 holes to play on their terrible non maintained course. They will be going out of business soon because no one will pay that crazy price when other nicer courses are cheaper.

The place is impeccably decorated upstairs and down for the holiday. If dropped off in the front there is an elevator. If dropped off in the rear it's a short walk no stairs. Parking is a short walk for the driver unless handicapped. The tables were lovely. The ambiance was perfect for our holiday feast on a Saturday night at 5pm. One of the group made the reservation and got us all on the gate list to enter the compound. No biggie. The guard was a good laugh. They were totally prepared and even had a wonderful piano man playing across the room holiday tunes. I love when there is a live piano in a restaurant rather than piped music. They had a lengthy unique menu for the evening so we all chose whatever we wanted be it a drink from the bar, appetizer, great selection of entrees and crazy good desserts. Wife and I split one dessert. The portions are very generous and should be enough for anyone. We had a house salad which was very good and not crazy filling to spoil our appetites. They provided a homemade hard roll also. Wife took 1/2 of her Prime Rib home. My twin Fillet steaks were delicious with two dipping sauces. I used one for meat and the other for the veggies. There were 3 choices for potatoes too. We were all very impressed with the servers, the food the atmosphere. Wonderful. Not rushed out the door like some places. Wouldn't hesitate to go again just as a couple for a special evening meal. Just call ahead due to the gate list. Prices are reasonable for anything comparable in Hernando area. Non members pay about 5%/couple which is no big deal. There was a normal flat rate gratuity for a large group the same as I would leave for any server of quality. We were so happy with the experience I tipped extra and put some money in the piano man's glass. This restaurant is in our top 10 for anywhere in three counties. Good Memories are hard to come by when you are in your 70's. First time I've worn my dinner jacket/no tie in over a year and didn't feel over dressed in Hernando.
