The house is about 40 years old, we have been in it for 25 years, and had it had never received much attention. It was always too dark and closed off. There was a funky West County hallway that was also two bathrooms. We loved raising our children here, but now we were ready to open it up to the redwood trees and sunshine outside. We had a contractor who was really good with the structure, but we had no idea how to put the rooms together. Within moments of meeting Natasha we felt 100 percent comfortable. She never once sold herself to us, or tried to move us in a direction we were uncomfortable with. Instead, she urged us to shop where we were comfortable, find deals on Craigslist, and repurpose existing furniture. She delighted in our finds, encouraged us at every turn, and turned every one of our perplexed meanderings into an encouraging way forward. From the first painted color brushed onto the first new wall, everything Natasha picked was stunning. We spent months in disbelief as each color and recommendation made its way from proposal to reality. In the world of construction, we found out that things don't happen all at once. Ran into Andrea Oreck's booth at the Home Show at the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds and grabbed a brochure. We had been looking at what other artists have to offer in the bay area, and while we saw some beautiful art, nothing compared to Andrea's for the look we wanted to achieve. Andrea is a consummate professional. She stared by talking about some ideas of the design we wanted and she picked the carpet for us around that. It was something we may not have considered ourselves but is a perfect choice now. She brought in help and had the room painted, even the baseboards, adding a nice faux finish. We supplied pictures of what we were looking for and she asked a lot of questions, coming up with several choices for us to pick from. I was immediately impressed with a number of things 1) She made sure all the furniture and accessories matched a coherent theme, it did not look like random furniture, but very much the boho look we wanted for the home. 2) Her attention to detail was amazing, to making sure the art linked with the furnishings and being very clever with the choice of accessories to pick ones that would "pop" and look great in the photos. 3) Donna and team were flexible with timing and delays, being very accommodating when our timelines for start and finish moved around.
