We have talked to instructors, other parents and researched reviews from many martial arts schools around the area over the last few years because our daughter has been asking to join martial arts. After meeting and talking with Master Butler and Mrs. Butler we knew this was the place for us and we have not been disappointed. Since beginning at Millennium, our introvert daughter has gained self confidence, pride and respect. The masters and coaches use class time to teach the students martial arts and also the importance of respect and responsibility both in class and at home. They encourage their students and families to participate in activities they hold and we've become a part of the Millennium Family as well, even just being spectators. I cannot speak highly enough about the instructors and I definitely recommend Millennium Academy to anyone considering getting involved in a physical activity. Whether you're an adult looking to join, a parent with kids or a whole family looking for something physical to get involved in, this is the place to go. If I could give zero i would. Michael Butler is the most arrogant self serving jerk I have ever met. He kicked my son out for having Tourette syndrome. If everyone didn't conform to his idea of what a person should be, then you simply were not good enough. He literally sent an email out asking people to refer new students but not to send people who weren't the best of the best. He was mean to the kids and talked to everyone like they were stupid. If you didn't do things his way, then it was the wrong way. I kept justifying it to myself saying the structure was good but there is a difference between structure and just completely crazy. He also contributed to charge me when we were no longer attending. I disputed it with my bank and he continued to dispute my dispute simply to be a jerk. Don't ever upset him because he will make sure and continually tell you that he just bought two twenty thousand dollar vans and he won't let you're nonconformity ruin his money making. He is definitely in it for the money and not for the love of it. Do yourself a favor and run. read more

My daughter and I joined Millennium Academy about a year ago. This has been the GREATEST thing we could have ever done. We looked at other schools in our area and I am so glad we chose Master Butler's. I disagree with the other two one star posts and hope that anyone reading these posts solely to make a decision would obtain their information from multiple sources before reaching a conclusion. Master Butler LOVES what he does. He LOVES teaching. His passion is more than apparent and highly contagious. His rules are simple and very easy to follow. The coaches are helpful and knowledgeable and for the most past, they all lead by example. Master Butler's school has empowered my daughter. I reviewed Millennium three years ago as a parent; today's review is based on my own participation! My taekwondo sister and I are parents of 1st degree black belts, and as of this spring, she and I have begun our own journey to master. I love the sense of community, support, structure, and values that come from the top down. As someone who has a LONG way to go on my personal fitness journey, I appreciate the fact that EVERYONE is evaluated at their own ability level and asked to challenge without pushing to the point of discouragement. This place is a great find! They offer 2-weeks FREE so you can try up to 4 classes ( 2 per week is recommended ). The Team is professional, courteous and friendly. We had a great time, no issues understanding the programs and schedule. All the other parents and students are supportive. It's just a really good operation, clean and organized. Every parent I spoke loves the atmosphere and my daughter earned her Black Belt. Master Mike has high expectations and guides students towards earning their ranks. Very pleased with Millenium Academy. My daughter took the free 30 day trial and she wanted to get going right away. She took to it immediately and still continues to go today. Master Butler is very benevolent, pleasant, proactive and customer oriented. There are a lot of excellent life values that are taught here other than just self defense techniques etc. They also have summer child care camp that is more affordable than other child care places in the area. Master Butler has provided my family and I a great learning experience. My 7 year old daughter started first with Tae Kwon do. After watching her learn and have fun, I decided to bring along my step daughter and after observing one of the classes, We both joined! I never saw my daughter as a ninja....well other than kicking me if we were sleeping in the same bed. She is absolutely thriving at Millennium academy. Millennium Academy has been a great experience for my family. My 2 children started when they were 6 and 9. Now 3 years later my wife, my children and I all have black belts.
