I needed to move from town to Kapolei. 2 Guys was recommended by a colleague so I gave Richard a call. From the moment we started talking I knew he understood the stress of moving and was so incredibly helpful. He came the next day to give me an estimate. It was a very fair price (in the middle of the 3 estimates I had) and I selected them to do my moving and to pack the kitchen. On moving day, the 4 man team arrived early only to find that our building was having a power outage. They were flexible and power came on about 30 minutes later. The guys were fabulous. Personable, efficient, and ever so careful with my belongings. In addition to the moving, they also took a load to the dump for me. At the new house they placed things exactly where boxes were labeled, set up the furniture as asked AND the final price ended up being LESS than the original estimate! These guys are straightforward, quick, and easy to work with - I'd highly recommend and will definitely plan to use their services again. I needed help moving two beds and disposing a few items that were too heavy for me to transport myself since my back surgery this year, otherwise I'd have rented a truck and done it myself. We were able to coordinate with Richard all via email and that was really great because I usually can't jump on the phone until after work and by that time it's usually late. Pros: -Efficient and super easy to work with. -Very friendly team and super positive attitude about just getting the job done. -Thoughtful and thorough, they disassembled the bed/frame and then reassembled everything when they got to their destination.. Cons: -Honestly the rates were a bit higher than I was expecting but I value convenience and great service, so these guys hit the mark. -The drive time between locations were a bit longer than I thought but I mean, it's probably better to drive slower and safer than fast and reckless. -I like that they are really prompt to arrive on time but maybe a "we're close and will be there shortly" would be nice, just as a heads up... not a dealbreaker since they're on time and reliable. read more

I have used 2 Guys for a total of 4 moves over the course of 7 years. They have moved 90%, 80%, 50%, and 10%, of my house on separate occasions. Some of these homes were walk ups, had elevators, or a crazy set of L shaped stairs with a huge wooden storage system to bring down. Each move has been with different men. There were usually 2 men, but on one occasion, 3! (New name proposal: 2 or 3 Guys and A Truck! ) All men were extremely nice, SO quick, prompt, and careful with my things. I remember being very nervous working with them the first time since I've never used movers before. I watched as they carefully wrapped each of my more fragile items. And they explained how my brand new TV won't break in the truck. By this last move, I trust them completely. I didn't even watch them load the truck and just kept saying how they're so amazing. After hearing about horror stories and experiencing one through my work place, I am so blessed that I found such an awesome and reliable company right off the bat. He communicated promptly with fee estimate after viewing my photos and dimensions, and kept me updated as to the time the crew would show up after finishing an earlier job. The crew of 4 led by Jake were super efficient and professional and did the job really quickly with pickup and drop off. I liked that they wrapped the furniture with big cellophane wrap and also wrapped the artwork in thick padding to protect it during the transport. After clearing out the university office where my wife worked for the last 25 years or so of her long academic career, we were left with a room next door filled with at least 30 large, heavy trash bags containing papers and books heading for the dump, and 8 or 9 boxes of books destined for the Friends of the Library of Hawaii book sale. Last week, after reading several strong recommendations, I contacted 2 Guys & a Truck. Richard got back to me quickly by text, and we were given a time slot on August 1. In order to accommodate us in setting an appointment time to get the books delivered to the library warehouse, Richard was able to switch another client so that we would be his crew's first stop of the day, eliminating uncertainty about timing. Today was the day. His guys arrived about 10 minutes early. And it took them just over half an hour to haul everything away. They were very careful to avoid damaging anything, and to make sure everything was done properly. I would highly recommend Richard and his team at 2 Guys & a Truck. They know what they're doing, and they do it very, very well. And when the invoice arrived, I was pleasantly surprised! Very reasonable for the amount (and weight) of material hauled away. A year ago when we sold our home and needed to move out to an apartment, we used 2 Guys & A Truck. They made our move so effortless, careful and successful, we kept them in mind. A year had gone by and we contacted 2 Guys & A Truck for help us move into our new apartment late last year as we knew that we'd move-in during January 2017. As soon as we received our exact move-in date, we contacted Samantha to confirm our plans as the apartment complex that we are moving into has an extremely "tight" move-in schedule. That was a month ago and Samantha was gracious as ever to put us on their schedule. They sent out 4 strong and young professional movers who quickly and carefully moved our belongings to our new place. We were right on schedule and I commend the moving crew who came to pick up and unload our belongings. As usual, they took great care to wrap and protect several of our antiques. They even wrapped our newly re-upholstered dining room chairs. The move was successful even though we were delayed at the loading docks (not the fault of our movers). Just awesome. Loved working with the crew that came to move my futon bed and a few chairs from town to Waipahu. Bottom line: Polite, efficient and friendly. They called to confirm they were on their way. Great. Once they arrived, they assessed the situation and began work right away. They had the right tools and know-how to disassemble the complicated bed frame and load up for the drive to Waipahu. Not two, but four men showed up for my move of an apartment within Honolulu. I recently moved and although I did not use their moving services, Samantha and Richard were a great help! Ultimately, I decided to handle most of my move myself to save money however I called 2 Guys & A Truck when I was shopping for estimates and they were extremely helpful. Samantha was able to give me rough estimates over the phone based on my location and hourly rates and offered to schedule an in person estimate. She let me know that they also rent plastic bins (the heavy duty flip top kind) for a very reasonable price. Ultimately, I called back to rent the bins and Richard helped me out with that. The bins and the heavy duty dollies that they fit into were amazing to use. For the comparable cost of buying moving boxes, this is an eco-friendly alternative and the ease of having a rolling dolly that fits these specific boxes meant I could stack them 5-6 high and not have to worry about anything toppling over while using the dolly. Richard dropped the bins off on the requested date and picked them up from my new address when I was done. Even though I had kept them longer than the agreed upon period, Richard offered to honor the original quote which he certainly didn't have to do. I actually never saw Richard because he was able to do the drop off/pick up while I was at work thus saving me from the inconvenience of leaving work to meet him. I cannot say enough positive things about my interactions with Richard and though I did not use their moving services, I have no doubt I would have experienced the same quality of service and care and have no hesitation recommending them for any moving needs. read more

I would say this is truly five star service that 2 Guys & A Truck provided! Richard was always in touch via e-mail and telephone to confirm or list available times and dates as to when to schedule an appointment to take several old appliances along with some other smaller items away from one of the local cottages. It helped to try to get a time and date set up at least a week in advance to make sure it would work out, and it did in the end! Richard and his staff were awesome overall and did a wonderful job of going through the cottage and determining the best way to haul the requested items out. Considering that the cottage has no sliding doors or wide access areas, the staff amazingly got everything through the narrow areas without a scratch or banging into anything. Overall, very professional and they were quick in terms of starting and finishing the job right. Richard was able to contact me later to confirm the final total amount that was due and I was able to pay with a credit card over the phone! Thanks guys!
