Great professional staff and safety is their #1 priority. Located right in the city, just a short drive to get there. This is the most open cavern I have ever been in and you almost feel like you are in a dark warehouse, it's so big! No "tight" spaces of any kind. Heights might be your issue if that is a concern. If you have any climbing, repelling, spelunking, or exploring experience, this is a "walk in the park" for you. No experience is needed and they take care of everything. All you have to do is zip when you're told. Have fun! Shoutout to Bethany M., an excellent staff member.

Online booking mentions that it is a 2.5hr experience but with a smaller group of 8, it only took 1.5hr for all the zip lines. Overall a very fun experience and great with big groups! The Bad: Do not get the picture package!! The picture is taken at a standing platform after one of the zip lines, not an action shot!! The Ugly: It felt a little sketchy going down the barren hallway. It was a 5 min walk that felt like you were going through an industrial hallway and it just felt out of place to keep going if the signs were not there. On to my next adventure....

The kids played with the sensory activities, the dinosaur and animal exhibits, engineering fun, the makerspace and so much more. We ended up spending a couple hours there, and we could have stayed longer if not for impending nap times. The facility was clean and so much for everyone to learn. Our family members, who were visiting from Philly, lamented the fact that they don't have a kids science museum like this by them. It was neat to see it through their eyes. We also ended up getting the membership that also includes the Louisville Zoo. As long as we visit twice, the membership will be a deal. The science center also hosts great events, including some fun ones for adults. Plus we need to go back and see a film in its theater. Like I wrote in my last review of the center, it's a gem!

It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown Louisville alongside other museums like the slugger museum. We were lucky and able to find metered parking around the corner. My biggest complaint with this museum was the price $$$ to experience ratio. The price was on par with some of the nicer museums of this nature like Cosi in Columbus, Carnegie in Pittsburgh, etc but the experience wasn't up to the same level. It also felt like there were a lot of kids not being watched closely so we had to keep an extra close eye on our younger crew in this space. The museum features playscapes, hands-on experiences, space exhibits, creamy area, water play, etc. making it ideal for ages two and up.

It was next to nothing but a nice place to stroll around a lake and feed the ducks. This summer when my daughter and grandson came to town they requested that we forego our annual trip to the Louisville Zoo and give the Salato Wildlife Education Center a try. We went there and my expectations were extremely low. I was pleasantly surprised at the changes that occurred since I was here last. The small museum utilizes every nook and cranny with exhibits It is very informative yet fun for all. Then after making the circle through the museum we exited the rear door to the outside and began our leisurely stroll down paths and around loops to see all the live wildlife. Even though there were multiple families visiting at the same time the grounds absorbed the people so you didn't feel like you were in a crowd. There are many opportunities for kids to have a hands on feel for the subject matters. So the $5. for adults and the $3. for kids was well worth our afternoon visit to the center. Woohoo, I'll be back on my own just to walk the grounds again.

(This review is for the Joe Creason Parkrun, an event series, not the park itself. For whatever…read morereason, the site defaults to putting the review on the park page.) Parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5k run, and the local chapter organizes the event in Joe Creason every Saturday at 9 a.m. On a typical Saturday, you'll see a few dozen people gather, everyone from competitive runners to walkers, and plenty of hacks like me somewhere in between. The local chapter is just one of about 100 around the country (and more globally), and it's completely run by a dedicated group of socially-minded volunteers. Sometimes they wear cute outfits. Sometimes they bring snacks to share with finishers. And they always bring a lot of energy. It's easy to sign up online and all you have to do is arrive by 9:00 and have your barcode on your phone. The Creason course can be a little confusing at first -- it's essentially a big figure 8 that you run 2 1/2 times. You find yourself at the center of that 8 no fewer than five times. And you have to run up a sizable hill twice, so you'll get your pulse working. As of this writing, I've done the Parkrun 11 times in the past couple of years (I've only volunteered once so far, but I hope to do better next year). Highly recommend it for anyone looking to either train for a bigger race or just mix up their own running routine. You'll be rubbing elbows with a lot of other nice people.

A friend hosted her son's birthday party for a fairly large group and this was the perfect venue as opposed to the tight quarters at a nearby home. We were able to have access to four large sturdy picnic tables for a few hours in order to decorate, throw a party, and then relax and visit. The playground equipment is modern and safe with soft surfaces underfoot. The equipment was in close proximity so that the kids could enjoy playing while under the watchful eye of the adults. Plenty of trash cans. Plenty of parking. Well maintained grounds with nice lawn to run without fear of falling into a chuckhole and getting hurt. This location also is the local host for the weekly Park Run organization on Saturday mornings, which is a timed 5K, and further info and signups can be found online for Park Run.
