I was a long time patient here before it was even Herring Family Dental and it used to be great. I like Dr. Herring and Krista, but over the last year the new manager just astronomically raised prices on me. On top of that, my last cleaning was absolutely terrible. The hygienist was a nice person but it was like she just roughly jabbed my mouth and gums and did little to nothing to actually clean my teeth. I didn't even have an exam and they tried to charge me $300. After I questioned why I'm paying more than ever, they said "oh, you were getting a 50% discount, we'll honor that this time. It's $180." Are you kidding me that's the average cost for a normal visit anywhere! What finally broke the camels back, just a month after my last cleaning, this June while traveling I had developed an infection around a 30 year old root canal and had to get an extraction and bone graft. When I got back to PHX I inquired with Herring about help to adjust my flipper and they said $180 dollars for him to look at it and he won't do anything to "another Dentist's work" and it'd be an additional $300 on top of the $180 to make me a new flipper. I told them I'll find another dentist. I found 2 who quoted me -~$100 for a visit to adjust it. I feel so absolutely uncared for by Herring Family Dental. I have been a patient since literally day one and I was treated with no concern for what I had been through. No call back. Nothing. I didn't want to get work done outside of my city, but I had no choice. I would think my long time dentist would care for me more than others, but no. I found random strangers to do better... well, Thompson Peak isn't random I had been a patient there years ago when I was closer to their office, the service was great. Sadly I can't say the same for Herring. Definitely do not recommend. read more

The dentist and his wife are really cool. His wife does your teeth cleaning and she's super sweet and nice and thorough. Their office is clean and nice but sometimes their front desk person doesn't smile doesn't say hello. Doesn't say how are you and doesn't say thank you doesn't say goodbye. It's not consistent and it makes you feel like you're not important to them. It makes you think about switching dentists just because of how they make you feel when you arrive and leave. read more

I had been going to another dentist in the area for several years and was frustrated by all of the turnover - I never saw the same hygienist or dentist and everything felt very impersonal. I decided to give Herring family dentistry a call. It was only my first appointment, but felt like a completely different experience! I first met Kirsta, the hygienist. She was very personable and funny. I felt like she truly wanted to get to know me, much like I had felt when I was a kid going back to the same dentist's office for 20 years and seeing familiar faces with the hygienist and dentist each time. I then met Brent (Dr. Herring), the dentist. He was also very personable and did a great job about showing me my x-rays and explaining everything. A chipped molar on a recent Sunday lead to an urgent call to Herring Family Dental Monday morning. I was in a chair before noon and was fitted for a temporary crown. Yesterday I returned for the placement of the permanent crown that took only an hour! From start to finish, the care I received from my first call to completion could not have gone more smoothly. A few weeks after my first visit I got a bill for $400 even though I have insurance that covers regular visits. They said it was an error and to ignore it. A couple weeks later I got billed again! They said ignore it. A couple wee weeks later I was billed a THIRD time. They said ignore it. They set my next appointment for a Monday at 8am. I arrived to find out they didn't open until 9! Their phone recording doesn't even give hours for Mondays, but gives an option to text the dentist. He informed they weren't not even going to be open that day due to relatives visiting! I called on Tuesday to make another appointment. They said they would call me back. On Wednesday, instead of calling me, they sent me another bill! I have never dealt with a more incompetent company! Didn't get to complete our appointment as the claimed the scheduling system double booked. However, we had booked a 3 PM and they reached out to reschedule for a 2:30. How would their automated system double book if a human reached out to us to re-book at 2:30? Now I will have to find a new practice to go to that has availability to accommodate my schedule. First time here. Was looking for a place to whiten my teeth and cleaning. This place offered both and I found a Groupon. Yes! Alyssa did a great job on cleaning my teeth. I was pretty nervous cause last time I got my teeth cleaned somewhere else and it hurt. Didn't hurt this time. Also got X-rays done. Pretty simple just stand there and the machine goes around to take pictures of your teeth. The teeth whitening wasn't to bad as I thought. It was for 30 mins. 15 mins without the light and 15 mins with the light. Also while you wait you can watch Netflix. Also there's a little sensitivity but not to much. I visited Dr. Ahn's office for a front broken tooth after a great referral from a friend. Located in the Arcadia area, the medical office building is easy to access off Indian School Rd. The waiting area was clean and modern. The office staff were prompt to check me in and Angela was extra welcoming. I was taken back to a dental chair to wait for Dr. Ahn. There is a Netflix TV screen for you to watch while you wait for your doctor to arrive. Dr. Ahn appeared very professional and listened closely to my problem. He attended to all my needs and always checked on me to make sure I was not in any discomfort. He's knowledgeable about his field and did great work on my smile . In the end he performed exemplary work on my teeth and provided a much needed thorough cleaning. 5/5 Excellent service and office staff. I would not hesitate to return or to refer to friends/family. DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They will steal your money and charge your card illegally. I am fully convinced that their finance lady/manager is a professional con artist. She has a way of twisting her words and is hard to understand. I feel like this is why they're not on Groupon anymore. There must have been problems. They had a bait and switch ad running where you can get a cleaning and whitening but then tell you can't get it without getting a bunch of other work done. Mind you I did need fillings and they set up a payment plan with me. I owed $150 a month and only had two months left to pay. They illegally charged my card for $573 when I only owed $300 and the lady Angelina had the nerve to tell me they had no record of my payment plan and some bs about a new system. She's very sneaky about the way she handles business. She manages to get away with stealing money and there's been so many things I've seen just from her I can't even write it all out but she will con you. She told me they didn't do automatic payments but then decided to charge my card with out my consent for $273 more than I actually owed. She also managed to sneak $100 the second appointment I went to when I had already payed it but I let it go and just ignored it. They literally stole all the money I had left and now my account is negative. I was supposed to buy my son a new pair of glasses this week but nope. Not gonna happen now. Entera Dental is awesome! I didn't have dental insurance and had to look for a new dentist since I couldn't afford their out-of-pocket pricing. I was looking for a new office that had a reasonable dental plan and close by. I stumbled upon Entera Dental that had great reviews and was really straight forward with their dental plan and a breakdown of their prices and procedures. I immediately booked for the following day because I needed a deep cleaning since I hadn't been in for a cleaning before Covid. The office is really nice and clean, the staff is incredibly friendly and warm and the entire experience was really pleasant! After Dr. Ahn did his initial assessment, a staff person came over and talked to me about their dental plan and how it would save me money to enroll especially for the procedures I was needing. You even get a free gift when you join! I got a cool electric toothbrush! Anyhow, they happened to have a cancellation that morning and Dr. Ahn started my deep cleaning right then and there! He did such an amazing job! It was virtually painless! I returned the next morning for the other side of my deep cleaning and then we scheduled my follow up cleaning for 3 months later. It was just all so easy! My dental health is important to me but the Entera Dental staff is what will keep me coming back to them and recommending them to everyone too! read more

Absolutely love the whole staff at Entera! Brent & Kirsta are amazing humans and are so fun to chat with. Got my cleaning & X-rays by Kirsta and not only was she absolutely hilarious but she did such a wonderful job and truly listened when I noted that I had certain sensitive spots. I especially liked how she would tell me what she was doing and give me slight warnings so that I was aware, communication was a great addition that I didn't get elsewhere. Highly recommend! I was very nervous about seeing a dentist... as it had been 5+ years since I'd been in :/ BUT there was no judgement AT ALL from the dentist or staff! They even printed out a report after my teeth cleaning, that showed exactly what was covered by my insurance and what I would have to pay out of pocket before I even scheduled my 2nd appointed for some additional dental work, so there were no surprises! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! I went in to see them back in February, they proceed to tell me that I have great insurance. They then tell me that I have 11 cavities even though I have never had a cavity in my life, they tell me that they will need to fill 6 or 7 of them. I request that it is done in one sitting because I have severe anxiety and wasn't sure that I could handle an additional appointment. They proceed to fill 9 cavities in one sitting without telling me that they were going to fill more than the 6 or 7 they had told they were going to fill. I have had serious sensitivity and pain since then. My friend's appointment was after mine and they proceed to hit a blood vessel with the novocaine and resulted in her getting lockjaw. I just saw another dentist today and gave them my x-rays that Entera had done, he proceeds to tell me that I had 3 cavities and that Entera screwed me over and that they were so sorry that this happened to me. So, apparently, some dentists out there, as messed up as they are, will take a look at your insurance and if it is really good they will try to take you for as much as they can. Literally one of the first things they told me was that I had great insurance. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! Please go elsewhere with more experienced doctors and be mindful of any diagnosis they decide to give because it may not be an accurate one. I am seriously angry and upset that this happened because they did permanent and unnecessary damage to my teeth. It's not okay and I wish I could sue the hell out of them, but the least I can do is try to warn as many people about their practice! read more

I see why this doctor and staff get 5 stars by everyone. In my experience, if lucky, when you spend time at a Dr's office of any kind, you will meet one or two nice people. People who are nice enough to pretend they are happy to see you. Not unlike a car salesmen being nice to you at a car dealership. Not at this office. These are lovely people who genuinly seem to care. When you meet Dr Hendrickson you will see why they are all in one place. Nice, thoughtful, professional people attract and hire like minded people. Even if you don't have dental insurance, they offer great plans to make sure you get the treatments you need at an affordable price. It is hard for me to trust someone to mess with my teeth but after meeting with Dr. Hendricks and staff, I was beyond impressed. Dr. Hendricks made me feel very comfortable, explained everything in detail, and his staff was great.
