Well kept full-service marina with all the amenities! We stayed here overnight twice over the summer, using Dockwa for our reservations. These are fixed, not floating piers, but tides are minimal. The pier head where we stayed (dock E) and the adjacent fuel pier head can be exposed to wind and some waves if coming from the southeast, but the waves are knocked down a bit by flats. The docks are in good repair, and the grounds are immaculate. We took advantage of the free-access propane grills up on shore for a nice picnic. There's a West Marine just a short walk away. The marina has a pool, poolside bar, ice makers, laundry, and more. Their pump-out is also free. Docking here was slightly pricy, but well worth it at a location central to the Chesapeake between two 8-hour sails, and not at all out of line for the area and quality of facilities. read more

Herrington Harbour North Marina is a site to behold. This entire location is kept pristine. The grounds are well kept and the main building is immaculate. The restrooms are not only clean and well stocked, but they also have showers. Every inch of the docks are impeccable and every vessel, you could see, are well maintained. The reason for this visit was to assist with returning a family member's 47 foot sailboat back up to the Jersey shore. I cannot commend Herrington Harbour North enough on their professionalism and attention to detail with every aspect of this location. This Marina is awesome. I showed up for a Veterans Day charity event. This Marina was well maintained. Huge property with boats and slips as far as you can see. There is a restaurant and small store on-site. There are also boat maintenance facilities. Whether you are visiting or launching on your own boat or charter, you will have a good time. Dockside restaurant and bar is onsite for those who want seafood, without have to put in the work. read more

Just completed one year of winter storage with HHN. Positives: It's a beautiful marina with lots of winter storage space. Winter storage rates are significantly lower than Annapolis rates and it's only 17 miles south. Launch-travel lift crew are outstanding! Launch crew are professional, courteous, and top notch at their jobs! (IMO after 35 years on Chesapeake at 8 different marinas). The negatives: front office of marina is difficult to work with. Errors in billing, and very difficult to work with if you intend to bring in ANY outside contractors. Also, the shoal at the breakwater is VERY shallow. You will need to go WAY outside the main channel to get past the shoal if you need anything more than 6ft of water. Beware the shoal! read more

I love living at Herrington Harbour North. The marina staff works hard and is always attentive to our needs. The security is great. The security does a great job of making sure we are safe and keep non-slipholder guests out in the evening hours. There are really good service contractors onsite. The grounds are always very clean, the landscaping is beautiful, wonderful ammenities, and their slipholder events are a lot fun. We have everything we need here at the marina. This marina is surrounded by awesome restaurants and outdoor bars, easy to access by dinghy or car. The folks in town are friendly and easy going. HHN is a gem on the Chesapeake Bay. Hands down, the best marina. The only complaint I have is I wish pet owners did a better job of picking up after their dogs. There are doggie bag stations every where. There is no excuse to not help keep this marina clean. Okay maybe one more thing, wish there was one extra dumpster station available in the summer. Although the marina provides us with 3 big dumpsters, we need one more. They are always full. read more

In our 25th year of boating, we have been around. We are finishing our fifth year at HHN: AWESOME! Every minute! The Marina Staff, contractors, vendors and fellow-slipholders are EXCELLENT! The marina, itself, grounds, amenities, and services, are worth every penny we spend at HHN. We came to HH, years ago, and walked away. It is apparent that the current owner cares about employees and customers. Customer service is, definitely, something each person who works for, and on the premises, gets right. Zimmerman Marine, Canvas Connections, West Marine, Shiver Me Timbers, are the GoTo vendors for quality service. Hopefully, Dockside Restaurant will settle in to the same level of product and service we have come to expect at HHN. Keep up the good work! read more

I have been are Herrington North for a few years now after being at another marina for about 10years. Herrington is more expensive but we love it and feel that we are getting our moneys worth. The amenities including the pool is great. Very well maintained. In fact the clean the restrooms so much my wife jokes that she has trouble using the one near the store. The sailing association is great. Facility is meticulously maintained. They hold occasional parties for slip holders that we have attended. Great food and drinks and all free. Just a nice touch! The crew does a great job looking after the boats and was good enough to alert me last winter and fix the lines for me. That is worth a great deal to me. This is a full service boat yard. Not a do it yourself yard. That being said the businesses that they have to contract the work are very good. I have used Phipps, Osprey and Atlantic and have been pleased. Finally, I really love the West Marine sitting about 100yards from my dock. How convenient is that! read more
