For once I'm jealous of the deaf and blind because I at least don't have to see the large various colors of those who sag their pants and show half their entire underwear to the whole school or having to hear the N word thrown around more times than a Klansman. Don't even get me STARTED on the teachers. They are the most corny, aggressive and untamed animals in this zoo of a school district. Maybe if they had a different administration, different teachers, different students, different school style, different school board and different staff, I'd probably raise my rating to a solid two at best.

The school has a big drug problem, for one (I had to attend 5 mandatory seminars about heroin and…read moremeth for the THREE MONTHS I was there). I am not from Georgia, and this is the first school I attended when I moved here. I came around late Jan 2015 I believe. I was 14 years old. Everyone was initially nice, but towards the end of the semester, I just realized it is that southern hospitality facade. I experienced low-grade racism/microaggressions from the students and teachers. I had a music theory teacher (I think her name was Rhoades) that said she got tired of me worrying about my complexion when I looked in the mirror. The room I had class in had a mirror as a wall, and I did look at myself when I initially walked into class because what person does not look at themselves when they see one. Why would I need to worry about my complexion? I was 14 and completely comfortable in my skin. That comment struck me as wrong, like I needed to be worried or insecure. The comments from the students were mainly insinuating that they were "surprised" that the white guys were drawn to me (note, this school is majority white). I just looked confused, like, is it because I am not white that you are surprised? I also got comments from the guys that were like tropical this and that because I am of Latino ethnicity. All in all, the students and staff do not have the greatest morals in my own experience. I transferred to East Paulding and it was SO much better. I did not experience anything like that from the staff or students. Must be the income that makes a difference in the morals....

Can't beat $2 hotdogs and $4 homemade ice cream. Plenty of food options and ice cream flavors. Oreo is yummy!! Staff is very friendly and personable. Only downside, you can't really sit in your own chair, the wall is too high unless you're right behind home-plate. No covers over bleachers so take an umbrella. Kudos to the staff.
