After years of dealing with a corrupt federal system and unscrupulous characters on my own; the Devadoss team went to work to quickly get justice, and recover money lost. Without Devadoss my case would have dragged on and cost me in time, money and frustration. My advice for those hesitant to invest in a good law firm is to say that no matter how clearly your rights have been violated, if you don't have qualified legal help in dealing with a federal system; it is nearly impossible to prevail. This despite the ad here on Yelp saying they offer free consultations. I didn't have a problem with the fee, there was just too much uncertainty and I didn't feel like they would be a good partner for this sensitive issue. A simple "we think we can help you or at least offer some ideas based on what we've read so far" or "we don't think we can help you based on our initial review but would like more info"... would've been preferred. Instead it felt like they could just take my money just to say "sorry, we can't help you."

We completed mediation and then, when mediation failed, they refused to file suit. All they wanted was a quick settlement, quick money so they didn't have to do much work. As a paralegal, I know that when an attorney refuses to take your case to trial it is incredibly hard to get another attorney to represent you. By taking our case, never intending to represent us through trial, they basically ensured we would not be able to find another attorney and would not be able to sue to recover our damages. To say this is unethical is an understatement. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM OR THE SAME THING MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU.

This was a recommendation from the Bar Association. I found myself in need of a legal review of…read moresome court documents and called. The Principle partner introduced me and my case to an associate and that was fine. I spoke with the associate as she was busy driving, so we talked about the process. I order updated documents from the court, emailed them to her to review and advise me (she couldn't get the documents because they didn't subscribe to Tarrant County Court Records). That should have been my first "red flag." The next day she called and confirmed what I already knew, but I don't have my Juris Doctor! I later got a invoice for $850....but "I did the work!" Her invoice show our phone conversation time and 1.6 hours of research and review of a 6 page court document that I sent to her (a 15-20 minute read)! I understand she has to show that she can generate income, but Lawyer's are one's that take advantage of people. They know that you rely on their knowledge, so they gauge you with their hourly fees. I expressed my concern with the Principle partner and he asked to discuss it, scheduled a call with me, but never called. Now I know their intent! and why she felt comfortable doing what she did! My experience with this law firm was not what I expected and I would not recommend. As a matter of fact, I have other legal issues that I would have considered her handling but not now! I will follow up with the Bar Association and let them know my experience as well.
