Well, I've never rented from Hertz before but since I was involved in a rear end collision with another party's insurance fronting all the bills, State Farm chose them to get me a replacement vehicle, and Hertz was the shop choice! I swung by after stopping by my collision shop and was greeted by the friendly lady working at the front desk who took all my info, insurance and deposit. And even let me pick a gun standard/midsize vehicle to drive, which ended up being a Tesla! Smart car for dumb people, yes. Lol. Although there was a learning curve and less than 15% left to charge; there were supercharging stations in proximity and we were also able to charge the vehicle at home. It's been a stressful few weeks sorting this out being involved in insurance hell but Hertz helping me not walk in this 100 degree summer and getting me in a vehicle to drive around has been much appreciated! Can't wait for my own vehicle to return, my husband will certainly miss our rental, but now we know they're close by if we ever need a fun weekend ride :) read more

The 2 Clowns running this place are a joke. I rented 2 trucks from this location for a 1 day rental. I left in a hurry without looking at the rental receipt on my way to the airport. I figured they would have accurate information logged about the vehicles since I've never had this issue with hertz in the past. when I got back from my trip I was shocked at the additional fees they had charge me. They logged both vehicles as having full tank of gas when they were only 1/4 full. they charged me $98 for not returning a child seat even though I returned it. I was charged $300 more than I should have in fuel and child seat charges I did not accumulate. video and photos of the vehicle I rented show less miles on the odometer than were logged on my rental. trying to get any answer from hertz customer service is a joke. the employees know this and push the work load off on corporate even though it is their screw up. This Cedar Park location is in a small strip mall and it doesn't have a ton of car options. The person that helped me was lovely and was kind enough to upgrade my vehicle. But to be fair, he did it because the car they were planning on giving me had a broken trunk latch, and I needed to use the trunk space for my trip. As much as the upgrade was nice, the car did come with an almost empty tank of gas, so my first stop was to Costco to get it filled up. Would I rent here again? The best part is that I was having an issue getting back home because I was going to uber and for some reason uber was erroring out on me every time I tried to confirm pickup. I've always has great experiences at Hertz Cedar Park. As a Hertz Gold member, I am able to come in grab my keys and go! This last time, I extra appreciated Nickola. When I walked in I was greeted by Nickola, then she checked my license. After a few questions I was in my rental, in less than 2 minute of arriving. When I had a concern with my rental, Nickola put me in a vehicle that she was more comfortable with. She kept telling me that safety was a priority and she wanted me to feel safe. During the entire process, she was friendly. When stopped her in the parking lot while she was helping another customer, she let know she would help after she finished with that customer. I'll begin with that the gentleman who helped me was really really nice. If I were just rating him it would be 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately the car I was provided was at best a 3 star. Someone had clearly smoked in the car before I had it because although the fabric of the car didn't smell, you could smell it coming from the air filter every time you started it up. And while the inside of the car was clean, the outside had clearly not been washed. In addition, the Service Due notification came on during my trip. I think there is only one person who works at this location ... We had a good experience picking up but not extending the contract. We had to extend the rental period and I was in Dallas and Mrs. Texas was in California. We both called but they were busy with customers and they were supposed to return our calls, they never did. I finally called back the next day and told them I'm not leaving my number so I was put on hold. I was on hold about ten minutes. I explained the situation about the extension and asked if we would get the State Farm rate, per our agent telling us we should, as our insurance coverage had already been utilized during this rental. They said they're not obligated to that no matter what State Farm says and we would be charged the full day rate beyond the insurance coverage. Fortunately my sons car will be ready today or Monday so here we are standing in a line out the door waiting our turn, and yep, just the one person working the counter and the phone. While we were here they were telling a customer they were going to be charged a mechanics fee because the check engine light came on and the customer didn't notify them immediately. I don't rent vehicles often but there seems to be a lot of charges that customers are not aware about unless you read the fine print. The morning of pick up, they tell me they have no cars and to call another location. I call the other location and they hung up on me twice. I call back this location and ask for them to cancel. First, I reserved my car online and they only had sub compact or SUV, no midsize. I explained my situation, out of town, car broke down Christmas Day, and that I had to get back to Houston and would probably need to return it there. With her supervisor there, She said no problem and that there is a $10 fee and mentioned there may be additional charges. I specifically asked, what do those range and what have you seen? She said nothing more than additional $10 and she said she's been working there 19 months. The supervisor should have stepped in to clarify because she was quick to step in when we asked about liability from hail damage due to a potential storm that night. So cool, I'll return in Houston because my car isn't fixed and I'll rent another to come pick it up. Wrong, I call in to drop off and they said I'd owe $860 instead of my original $280. The girl in Houston said she's been there 2 weeks and has seen inter city transfers from $60 - $600.I called different locations to check drop off fees and they told me the same thing the 2 week employee had told me. At this point I know I was lied to. I called corporate to be told there was nothing they could do and that it was up to the stores. I requested a corporate supervisor and was on hold over 15 min before giving up on them. Be prepared to deal with BS rental contracts that out you at their mercy. Do not recommend. I opted to use them because they saved me $50 from my normal Enterprise rentals (located right behind them for those smarter than myself). Paid the fees, reviewed the receipt and confirmation email that said if you cancel shortly before your rental there would be no refund. I give them my debit card used for the reservation and my ID when it was finally my turn. He then tells me that he will be charging my card $500 to rent the car (as a deposit). WHAT?! Dumbfounded, I asked this con artist to confirm and he confirmed that they want to hold $500 to rent a car for 24-hours. $560 is what you need to have on you to rent a car for 24-hours here...these people are crazy. I'm surprised that these people are still in business, or that a class action lawsuit hasn't been filed against them. Their business practices are beyond criminal. They charged me $417 for a two day car rental. There's no way anything was wrong with the car because they never even went and looked at it, they just told me that my receipt had been emailed to me. They are unreliable I made a reservation three weeks in advance for a 12 passenger van and three days prior to pick up I get a phone call saying oh by the way we don't really have that vehicle anymore and we're going to be closed on the day that you were to pick it up They didn't care that they were messing up my plans nor did they offer comparable vehicle. Oh they offered something smaller seven passenger and also offered it at double the price and what my original confirmation was for and Dave from the location thought that that was more than acceptable. Horrible customer service! The guy at the front desk has the personality of a rock. They did not have my reservation on file and had to put up a $200 deposit, even though it was through insurance. While I was on the phone trying to resolve it, the employee took pictures of the car and came in here with m keys and sent me on my way. I asked if we need to go over together and he said no I already emailed you the pictures. Several times throughout the two weeks I had the car I tried to contact the office and was unable to get through so I had to go to the Hertz office. The key fob battery went out and they did fix that. When I return the vehicle he did not have time, same guy, to go through and look at the car with me. So I dropped off the keys and two days later I get $170 charge on my credit card. Tried to contact them and could not get through. Drove up there and they said it was due to excessive pet hair. I explained I never had a pet in the vehicle and he showed me some pictures with white fur on carpet and I don't even have a pet with White fur. I asked to speak to the manager, and after waiting about 25 minutes manager came out, took my information and assured me he would contact me within one hour. I called at 12:30pm when I didn't notice anybody and they put me on hold for 49 minutes. Their excuse was "you're supposed to notify us that you're otw". 1) that was never instructed to me. 2) what is the point of an appointment if I have to reconfirm? How am I supposed to call you to let you know I'm on the way if you're gonna put me on hold for 49 minutes? Great Hertz location! I worked with Ryan this past week to get into a rental car after my wife got into a small fender bender. My insurance company set me up with a reservation for this location, and I got a car right away without having to wait. Ryan was very thorough in explaining everything, and now they take photos of the inside and outside of the car before you rent to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the condition of the car. I went there knowing enterprise had a whole thing about how they will give you a ride so when I dropped my rental off the man behind the counter asked if I needed a ride so I said yes I do. He processed to ask me what my address was to where I needed to be dropped off at so I have this information to him. COVID WARNING- I WOULD NECER recommend this location or HERTZ to anyone. Bad experience all around. I was told my vehicle would be ready at 4:30p. I waited until 6:45p to get it. The vehicle was filthy. I spent 2hrs of my time to clean it before starting my trip. You would think in the times of COVID, HERTZ would hold to their standards they advertise of disinfecting vehicles in between rentals. I expressed all of my concerns with the branch manager, Muyiwa Oyenubi, who was impolite and offered very little for the inconvenience. He was not professional and down right rude. I followed up with corporate and received the same results. I WILL NEVER RENT ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM HERTZ!! Muyiwa Oyenubi was a bad representative for the company and the poor service continued when I phoned the customer service line, which was outsourced in another country. NEVER read more

"0"stars I spoke with the manager at 5:30pm who was very nice and ensured me my truck would be ready at 6pm. They did not have the exact truck I wanted but he was able to work with me. I got to the location at 6:03pm as my wife and 2 daughters were dropping me off A man was locking the door on his way out. I said I had a reservation and that I talked to the manager about being able to pick up my truck. This guy just continues to walk through the parking lot and saying " sorry bro it's 6 we're closed" I said, sir I confirmed with the manager for my truck. Again I got..."nope we're closed it's 6 good luck next time". This guy did not even stop to ask my name or try to help in anyway. I have never been so disrespected in my life and in front of my children. I have rented many cars and this is the first time my reservation has not been honored. Full disclosure we did arrive 3 hours after our reservation time. Staff (Derrick) seemed completely clueless and said we would need to wait an hour for a car to be cleaned and put into inventory before he could even tell us the price of the bait and switch car he wanted to put us in. Don't go here. I was lied to and tricked into an upgrade. The guy behind the counter asked me 3 times if I wanted to upgrade to 2 different trucks and I said no. Than he asked if I wanted to upgrade to an suv. Still told him no. Than he told me the only thing they have is an suv but they will give it to me at the standard car price that I had reserved. When I asked why the price was different when I paid, I was told it included the $200 dollar hold on my card, so it added up and thought that was normal. They lied and upgraded me after telling him no 3 times and now because I signed the rental agreement, they won't do anything for me. I was also given a dirty vehicle and was told they'd take $15 off for them not cleaning it. Which they didn't do. Corporate has been no help and told me I shouldn't have signed and I'm SOL because I did. Got taken advantage of in an emergency and will never return to hertz again. Make sure you read the fine print so you aren't lied to and tricked into an upgrade. Two stars cause the car itself was nice. Everything else sucked. read more
