    This Cedar Park location is in a small strip mall and it doesn't have a ton of car options. The person that helped me was lovely and was kind enough to upgrade my vehicle. But to be fair, he did it because the car they were planning on giving me had a broken trunk latch, and I needed to use the trunk space for my trip. As much as the upgrade was nice, the car did come with an almost empty tank of gas, so my first stop was to Costco to get it filled up. Would I rent here again? Probably as work prefers Hertz and I don't want to drive down to the airport.

    I think there is only one person who works at this location ... We had a good experience picking up but not extending the contract. We had to extend the rental period and I was in Dallas and Mrs. Texas was in California. We both called but they were busy with customers and they were supposed to return our calls, they never did. I finally called back the next day and told them I'm not leaving my number so I was put on hold. I was on hold about ten minutes. I explained the situation about the extension and asked if we would get the State Farm rate, per our agent telling us we should, as our insurance coverage had already been utilized during this rental. They said they're not obligated to that no matter what State Farm says and we would be charged the full day rate beyond the insurance coverage. Fortunately my sons car will be ready today or Monday so here we are standing in a line out the door waiting our turn, and yep, just the one person working the counter and the phone. While we were here they were telling a customer they were going to be charged a mechanics fee because the check engine light came on and the customer didn't notify them immediately. I don't rent vehicles often but there seems to be a lot of charges that customers are not aware about unless you read the fine print. I'm a Hertz Gold Member but I do not think I'll use this location again.

    This is the worst Hertz location I have ever been to. The counter staff is rude and not helpful at all. Extremely unprofessional

    Very friendly staff . Whether I needed a car same or a few days in advance they had it ready to go. Very easy process

    Horrible experience picking up this rental. I had a reservation at 12p but due to work issues I…read morearrived a bit later. Upon arrival, I was notified that no cars were ready and that they didn't have the type of car I reserved. Considering the reservation was placed well in advance of the pick up date, I'd believe this is something that should have actually been held for the customer RESERVING the vehicle or communicated to the customer before arrival. Furthermore, why aren't the cars cleaned and ready if you know you have people coming in to pick up cars regardless if it's the one they want or not. After receiving the news, I was told they only had large vehicles, okay fine by me. When given the options to choose from, I was only given the make of the car, Toyota or Hundai. This prompted me to ask the model of the cars.... they were minivans. Again, why not be upfront about this as well, don't try to hide the fact of what the car is by just offering the make of it. I immediately refused and then miraculously they also had a Durango available. Had I not rejected the "Toyota or Hundai" would I not have been offered the Durango? I expressed my frustration with the manager on duty AJ and his response was that he thought I'd want to save on gas which is why it was not initially offered. That is not your area to make a decision on. Of course I chose the Durango however, I didn't realize until I drove off that the car wasn't even given to me with a full tank of gas. Of course I called and complained. The explanation was that they do a match on gas so whatever level it is given, that is how it should be returned. Well duh but why is it not on full?. I have NEVER received a rental car without a full tank of gas. Returning the car was a total opposite experience. I believe the gentleman's name was Koolie or Kolby (I can't remember the exact name but I know he specified that it started with a K), asked about my experience and boy he shouldn't have done that! He was very apologetic and calm when receiving my feedback. He even explained to me why such things happened upon picking up the car, something that should have been provided then vs now but I still appreciate the explanation. He arranged a car for me to be dropped off and even carried my bags to the car. Based on this experience, I am not sure I'd rent with this location again.

When I was later given the rental agreement, I noticed optional insurance coverage had already been added and marked as accepted, with initials requested afterward. When I questioned the charges and stated that I did not want the optional insurance, Salem told me that the insurance "had to be charged because it was the holiday" and implied this was how totals were increased. When I refused to sign for coverage I did not authorize, I was told to "get my stuff and leave." When I attempted to ask additional questions about the charge already placed on my card, he threatened to call the police. At no point should a customer be charged for optional coverage before consent and signatures are provided. I am currently working with the corporate office to address the issue and dispute the unauthorized charge. Salem said he was the manager so i doubt anything will be corrected there I ultimately went to Enterprise instead, where they handled the rental professionally and got me taken care of immediately.

They lie and take money that doesn't not belong to you. And there cars are not reliable. I went out of town to see family the A/c went out the second day we had it, they replaced it with the same car and gave me a day free rental. I ended up having to stay an extra day of the rental extension and called to ask if I can use that free coupon got told I could and then when I returned the vehicle the following day they told me I cannot use it and that I had to call customer service customer service explain to me why I couldn't use it but went ahead and offered to go ahead and still give me that day free due to the fact that it was a family emergency they'd also told me that they would refunding me my deposit whenever I had yet still get my refund I have called multiple times and repeatedly got a different reason why I was being charged an additional $77 first it was for the mileage it was an unlimited mileage vehicle then it was well you got an upgrade we did not get an upgrade then I got told that I was being charged for the day that I kept it which was already given to me for free and refunded my money for that when I spoke to a manager he also told me that it was for the additional day that I kept the vehicle I said that makes no sense because I was already given that day for free and it was being charged off of my card and refunded back to my card he told me that I did not understand what he was saying but I clearly did not only did they charge me once but they were charging me twice for the additional day that I was told that since it was a family emergency that I'd be able to get it for free they are still not releasing my deposit and they are still charging me the additional $77 I would not recommend this company to anybody especially if you have enough family emergency and they promise to give you the discounted a day.

    What sets off a rent a car place from its competitors ? Well, customer service of course. This…read moreplace is outstanding in that area. Ivan has always been kind, courteous, and proffesional in all my dealings, which is usually several times per month because of my job. Abigail is OUTSTANDING as well. She goes way above and beyond to help customers and answer questions. She takes time to check the car out and identify features and others items around each individual vehicle. Recently I handed a car in on a Friday evening and woke up Saturday and could not find a small cross body bag that I had. I was really worried as it contained personal items I needed. I was out of the area, but called as soon as they opened. Abigail went and looked for me as the car was still there. Not only " looked" which would have produced nothing ( I am pretty thorough at drop off ) , she dug in and found my bag. Somehow it wedged itself down into the spare tire area and would not have been found if she was not so thorough in trying to help out. I picked up my bag that day and really cannot express my gratitude for people like her who take pride in their jobs and go that extra mile. I can rent from any place I choose to , but will continue to come here as long as their are employees like Abigail and Ivan.
