Worst experience ever and completely incompetent employees. I made a reservation, received a confirmation number and set up my week of travel accordingly. I called on Monday morning to confirm my noon pick up time and was told they could not supply me a car. They told me there were 17 people in line ahead of me waiting on a car. I asked to speak to the manager, she gave me the name and number of their regional manager, 931-472-8314 and I left a message, never heard back from him. DO NOT rent here, totally screwed up my week of travel and I had to go to Houston to rent a car, lost an entire day because of the incompetent Hertz experience. I flew in on business and was supposed to fly home the same day. When I arrived in the evening to leave I was told all flights were cancelled due to inclement weather in Dallas. I go down to get into another rental at Enterprise and they had no cars left. The Hertz rep heard me on the phone with my corporate travel rep and said he had a car for me. First problem: They close at 10pm!!! this is an airport car rental place, why would you possibly close so early??? second: The power outlets in the car i got were not working. I thought my phone was charing.... but inf act, it wasn't and the entire battery drained out. I had to trade the car for another one in Dallas. THIRD AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... I WAS LIED TO! I was told that Hertz has a contract rate they pay for tolls that is far cheaper than paying for it seperately. AND this lady also told me that tolls are included in my rental price (i specifically asked about this!!!), and that I didn't have to pay anything extra. I was charged an extra $10 for using a toll in Houston that I could've easily avoided because it was 3 am and there was no traffic. If i were to have paid out of pocket, it would've been far cheaper (something to the order of ~$1). Don't rent a car from this location.. or any other hertz for that matter. This was one of the most terrible experiences I have had with any rental car location or any customer service-based business. I reserved a car multiple days ago to pick up at 9am. I went at 9:15 and they did not have any cars. Already completely unacceptable but ok, I was not in a huge rush, I'll wait an hour for the return. You don't need the entire saga but the young woman on the counter was a) incredibly rude b) on her phone during our exchange c) unhelpful d) lied to us multiple times about the situation. By 1:30pm I cancelled the reservation entirely because 5.5 hours waiting for a car?? They had "absolutely no cars" at this location or their other location in College Station. Beyond the car issue, please note that your employees are just overall terrible and did not try and help or apologize for the situation. Truly awful customer service. I was booking this through Texas A&M and I will be recommending my department use other companies in the future. read more

Awful - flight cancelled, secured a one way rental to DFW on the 800 number and agent at counter refused saying she had cars but not for one way?!? What is the point of a reservation system?!? This is their core business -inexcusable!!! read more

Good and quick service. The car that was rented out to me could have been cleaned better before renting it out but over all, I had a good experience and the guy at the counter was kind and quick. I'm always getting a good deal with Hertz and fewer limitations than other rental companies I have researched. read more

Called this morning to be sure they had my insurance claim. Lady was cranky and rude. Now I am here to pick up a car. Waiting for 20 minutes. No one around. Tried calling in case they were in back. No answer. If my insurance didnt have a deal with them I would go across the aisle to Enterprise. read more

My boyfriend and I rented a car from Hertz at Dallas Airport and drove it to College Station, TX. That's maybe a 2 hour 40 minute drive, and we didn't have the car much longer than that! The car was dropped off at the Hertz at the airport in College Station and they charged us a $300 cleaning fee claiming they found cigarette ashes in the car.. WE DON'T SMOKE!!!!!!! NOR WAS ANYONE ELSE IN THE VEHICLE WITH US!!!!! My boyfriend has been on and off the phone with several different people all morning, with the excuse for the charge changing with every person he spoke with! There was no pre or post inspection done which we both thought was odd. UNACCEPTABLE. We didn't even pay that much to rent the vehicle!!!! read more

DO NOT USE!! An hour after my car was totaled, I came in to rent a car with the insurance of the person who hit me. I told them I needed the basic package people get and I wasn't sure how to rent or the process because I had never done it before. John took care of everything, or so I thought. He put on a $20/day insurance charge that I didn't need and said the insurance company would definitely cover that. He got a commission out of it, I later found out...and I'm out $394 I never knew was racking up. Amber Taylor, the manager, is also unwilling to budge when it comes to helping the customer out. Please!!! do not rent cars from airport Hertz. They overcharge me with the gas saying that they will fill up the gas tank and I need to return it the way it was so I do not have extra charge. So when I return the car the next day at 8 am there was nobody there ( been a airport) I left the key and the car full of gas and they still charge me the gas. A month later I notice the charge in my credit card and I called and the superviser lied saying she will return my money, but 30 days later I noticed that she still did not do any thing about it so I called again and they said they need to check again. This people are not honest to begin with so do not waist your money here. HORRIBLE!!!! read more

This Hertz location is pathetically disorganized. There is absolutely no management and, for the most part, their counter personnel don't care about customer needs or reservations. They have so few cars in College Station that one is stuck with whatever is available. Do yourself a favor and use Enterprise, which was about 750 cars in College Station and a staff which appears to really care about the customer. read more

We reserved a car (a Camry). We discovered that the car we picked up was not in driveable condition, stalling and unable to accelerate. I managed to get it back to the terminal (after less than an hour) and requested a replacement. None was available (possible) but the clerk refused to believe that there was anything wrong with the car and refused to provide a refund. read more

I guess I should have read the other yelp reviews. Literally the worst Hertz location that I have ever encountered. I reserved a small car well in advance of our son's move in. When we arrived the counter person said that they did not have any cars and that all they had left was one full size pickup and a 12 passenger van. Seriously...! During Texas A&M move in week! How bad of a business do you have to be to take reservations for cars that you do not have. They had to know that it was move-in week. Do you know how tough it is to find parking on campus by the dorms during move-in week? Then to have to find a large spot because I had a full size truck. We also couldn't lock our son's stuff in the car because we had a trunk. I will never rent from Hertz at the Easterwood airport again. The counter person, a woman, was nice and apologetic. She did give me a little more money off from my rental but since I had to pay more in gas, maybe it evened out. The bottom line is that I didn't want what I had to take and I reserved over one month in advance. read more
