They said there was excessive sand in the car and there was not. The car was taken to the beach only once and my wife and her friends were very careful about tracking sand in the car. The only other driving was to the airport and to the Space-X complex, with a little bit of exploring the area mixed in. We filed a complaint on Budget's Twitter page and they came back agreeing with the local budget office. They are a rip off and are out to get you for any extra dollar they can get. The car had flaws when the women picked it up, such as dirty cupholders and glass broken on a dash gauge. One of the women was in the back seat and commented when they picked the car up that it was dirty back there. I do not recommend this place to rent a car. They are crooks. It's bad enough the on-site management billed us for $287, but it's even worse that Budget's corporate office is supporting them in this lie.

For nearly two full weeks leading up to my trip, I repeatedly called this location -- at different times of day, including the hours I was specifically told to call -- and no one ever answered the phone. Not once. I finally got through to an employee (Carlos) and very clearly explained that my flight landed at midnight and I would need to pick up my rental after hours. I was told -- confidently -- that arrangements would be made and someone would be there. Based on that, I moved forward trusting that commitment. My flight actually landed early, and I arrived at the counter at 11:46 PM -- before my scheduled arrival time -- only to find the location completely closed, locked, and unattended. No note. No instructions. No attempt to honor the reservation. I was standing in an airport late at night with my daughter, with no transportation, no support, and no way to reach anyone -- after spending weeks trying to prevent exactly this situation. I had no choice but to scramble and secure the only vehicle available from another company, which cost me over $100 more than my original reservation and forced me into a larger, unnecessary vehicle. This wasn't a simple inconvenience -- this was a complete breakdown in communication, accountability, and basic customer care. What makes it worse is that I was directly assured this would be handled. That assurance was completely false. I have still not received any response from Enterprise regarding this situation after attempting to contact them numerous times. I needed a rental car and tried a few of the on-site companies, but I quickly found they were worthless- One took my reservation, then told me they didn't wouldn't have a car for a few hours (then why take my reservation!?); and another had a limited selection and all they could rent was an expensive SUV (even though my reservation was for an intermediate car!). Simply put, I was beyond frustrated. Then I called Budget (3210 East Grimes Street, Harlingen) and spoke to Jason. Unlike the others, he had a multiple options of cars I was looking for, told me exactly where he would pick me up, and would be there in only 5-10 minutes! He was very friendly and easy to speak with, and after the quick drive to their location, he and Michelle worked quickly to get me all setup in their rental. Further, my flight that next day left very early in the morning, and he said he would get there early (5 am!) so the shuttle would be available to take myself and others to the airport! This was a huge relief as I'd have no other way to get to the airport after dropping off my car. This was very generous of him. Jason and Michelle at Budget rental did a great job of making a difficult flight delay for my much easier through their fast response, excellent work quality, and welcoming personality. This is exactly what I look for when purchasing a product or service. if I could give a zero stars I definitely would!! first I…read morearrive at the airport nobody at dollar so I have to go over to hertz rents car then they want $200 refundable fee I agreed that was fine then he proceeded to ask if I want a receipt for the charges I agree then he gives me a paper that says $310 then telling me my credit card isn't working because $200 and $310 is a $100 difference Then I booked where it was supposed to be discounted I was only supposed to pay $62 at arrival so $62!!! became $310 then I proceeded to ask to charge my credit card for the refundable fee and use my other card For the $110 he can't do that cause it has to be the same card then that doesn't work because my credit card doesn't go through and I get it back look at my phone and he tried to charge my card $511!! I already paid the fee for $276 so what was supposed to be $400 max turned into almost $800 Then he can't even tell me when I'm going to get Refund saying it could be right away or 2-4days
