Stay far far away from this company!! I received a letter in the mail stating I had "storm damage,…read moreas seen from the street." Verbatim from letter "Over 80% of the roof we inspect are replaced and fully paid for by your insurance with no out of pocket expense!!" I called Brad Diepholz personally and asked him to elaborate on the no out of pocket expense, because I have a $1000 deductible on my home that I am responsible for paying. He said the way they get around that is by having the homeowner act as their own general contractor. He gave me an example: If the insurance adjuster estimates a cost of a new roof would be $5,000, HCS Restoration & Roofing will only charge me $4,000. I asked him if I would need to pull a permit for this if I am the general contractor. He replied no, permits are not needed. If roofing companies continue to try and "get around" the law, not only are they undermining the intent of the insurance company to make the customer whole, they are putting the customer in harm by not upholding necessary warranties and inspections.

Deciding to use HCS Restoration was the worst decision that my family ever made. We contacted the…read morecompany after the July hail storm to have an estimate done for our roof and painting. A representative Britton Hummell came out and talked to my wife and me. Our first interaction was basically him bragging about how great he was and putting all his competition down which should have been an alert. We decided go with the company since he guaranteed that they could do the roof for a reasonable price and guaranteed that he would match a previous paint bid we had on our home. I have to admit the guy can talk the talk and make you feel like you're going to be taken care of but nothing could be further from the truth. Our first concern was the roofing team the company used; they trashed our entire yard with food wrappers, trash and nails all over. After the work was done and we were told that the team went through the yard, with a magnet, my wife then stepped on a nail and it went through her foot. We contacted the general contractor Britton and he came back with some workers and walked back through the yard collecting a bag full of nails and trash. When the work was done for the roof we went to write a check and behold the price that we were originally given jumped an additional $3000.00. We were completely shocked but at that time there wasn't anything we could do, he had already swindled us and to find out the estimate that he had given my wife was blank. This raised concerns about having the house painted and I asked for a contract showing the price with a signature which he then refused. At this time, since we thought we were going to have everything done through HCS we had declined a previous bid with another company, which the quote we had was lost. After speaking with Britton he admitted that he never looked at our previous paint bid and under bided the job, he asked for an additional $4000.00, which was outrageous. He then expected us to sign another contract for the paint with no price, which we declined. We had a very nice company Vivax Pro's come out and paint our house within the next 2 weeks and there contractor did a re-inspection of our roof and advised us that the roof was done very poorly and would have not passed inspection due to many issues. The company was so nice they fixed all of the HCS mistakes along with cleaning our gutters that were full of trash and nails. We decided after this to voice our complaint to the company's management so I called the company number and left a voice mail asking a supervisor to contact me. I received a call back the next day by Britton Hummell pretending to be Dave Sanchez a manager from the Denver office. Me and my wife knew right away who we were talking to but still voiced our complaint to see what would be done and after expressing my issues the first response was again bragging about how great Britton Hummell was of an employee and how he is the companies top earner. The next week Britton came to my house and pretended nothing was wrong, he advised me that he had two vents that just came in that the company never replaced which we paid for, this we were never even told and would not have known about if not for the Vivax employee. He then replaced one vent and left the other damaged. Our painter then told us about the other vent which is called the B vent was not replaced, and this vent works with our furnace to release the carbon monoxide. After a few weeks, my wife was finally able to reach a representative in the company and got to voice our complaints to the vice president Steve Cohen. We were told that by the VP that he personally would look into this matter and that we would reimburse us for the vents, one replaced by Britton who is not certified to do HVAC work and for the other that we were lied to about that was still damaged. Two more weeks went by and we never heard from Steve again. My wife sent messages and phone calls and finally was told that he would bring a crew out to our home to inspect the issues. The VP never showed up and never called. A few weeks later we had our furnace cleaned preparing for winter, the two vents did not function correctly, and our home filled up with carbon monoxide. We had to contact the fire department and vacate our home for 3 hours. My wife called Steve again and we were told that because we didn't allow him to resolve the issue himself that the company would not do anything about the issue now. So we contacted HVAC solutions, a very good company and had a gentleman come out and replace the vents and run some tests to make sure our home was free of carbon monoxide. This visit cost my family an additional $175.00, which HCS should have paid but of course did not. This review is quite lengthy but the story and issues are very important and have caused my family a lot of headache. It's enough having to go through a claim of this size with damaged to our roof, windows and paint

The WORK IS TERRIBLE and Dan is a scammer. I would advise anyone thinking about hiring Dan - DO NOT HIRE. Dan Trujillo is the owner. I have seen his add in the Glendale Cherry Creek Chronicle for multiple years. I now must find other people who know what they are doing and take pride in their work to come and fix the mess Dan left. Shame on me for not researching for reviews and for paying him before the work was complete. It started out where Dan was engaged and wanted to make sure I had the right colors and stressed that he would cover everything in my house, not leave a mess, and address the items on the exterior that still needed to be fixed as he did the exterior while I was home. Cut to me coming back after leaving for 7 full days, at Dan's request so he would do the job for my under 1500 sq/ft house, to the fence to the backyard open/not built, big ruts in my grass where they tried to cover up their screwup in attempting to move the shed, the shed damaged inside and outside in multiple places, the corner of the shed missing the wood, dust covering most of my house, the exterior fixes not touched (multiple paint touch-ups or redos needed), painting errors on almost every wall/trim, and my front door and back doors unlocked. There were drips of paint on the walls, crown molding and baseboards, there was paint splatter on every floor surface (carpet, hardwood, tile and area rug), there was paint on my kitchen counters/bathroom counters/table/dresser/fabric headboard/floor length mirror, he painted wood that I told him multiple times should not be painted, spots of missing paint in every room, there was texture on almost every wall and ceiling that looked like they had something in the paint/paint brush and the majority of the spots where he muddied to "fix" a crack had texture and was visible and not sanded/smoothed to blend in. The list of issues could go on and on for the interior and exterior. The whole job was rushed and he clearly did not check any of this work. He refuses to return my calls and sent his two workers to fix all of the errors but they did a partial job.

After half way completing the job, he said he needed more money for completion. He stated he needed more materials like paint brushes and other simple clean up materials, which he was responsible to provide for the process!! We paid him the extra in good faith and he never returned to finish. We had to contact another painter to finish his job! Worst experience we've ever endured and I highly do not recommend this man for any future work.

Our neighbor is in construction, and he recommended Pachner, they are also his roof. Outstanding experience from start to finish - truly white-glove service…read more We had our roof replaced, fascia repaired, and several window screens fixed after hail damage, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this company. From beginning to end, the experience was exceptional. Our project manager, Carlos, was hands down the best contractor experience I've ever had. He was incredibly communicative, honest, and patient, and consistently set clear and realistic expectations. I'm someone who likes to understand all the details to make sure we're making the right decisions, and Carlos took the time to walk me through every option in an educational, pressure-free way. He never came across as "salesy" or tried to push unnecessary work--just professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. What truly set Carlos apart was how he handled our insurance company. Our claim was initially declined based on information that was clearly inaccurate. Carlos didn't brush it off or leave us to figure it out ourselves--he went above and beyond to do the proper due diligence, took the right photos, documented everything thoroughly, and patiently worked with our insurance company to prove his case. Because of his persistence and attention to detail, our insurance company ultimately approved the roof replacement. That level of advocacy is rare and incredibly appreciated. Throughout the entire process, Carlos communicated proactively, showed immense patience, and delivered true white-glove service. I honestly can't remember a better experience I've ever had with a contractor. The owner, Geoffery, was also a pleasure to work with--professional, accommodating, and very clear and concise in explaining how everything would be handled, which gave us a lot of confidence in the process. We were referred to this company by a friend, and without hesitation, we will now be referring them to our own friends and family. If you're looking for a roofing company that delivers excellent workmanship, honest guidance, outstanding communication, and zero high-pressure sales tactics, this is the company to choose. They truly get the job done right.
