I researched hair extensions and booked consultation with Lucinda Ellery salon Manchester, I was…read morequoted apx £500 but on consult was told 750 as 100 long extensions I paid £350 deposit and and given paperwork stating price includes style and finish for first fitting of extensions only plus shampoo conditioner and brush to take home, I had the extensions done May and it cost total of £776 so more than 750 and I got a brush but no shampoo or conditioner, on my appointment more than once I was assured it was only that expensive the first time and maintenance every few months would be far less as 're use the hair that is not lost etc etc, when I came for my appointment to take out and sort out on 4th JulyI was quoted £800 to £880. I was shocked and upset, this is huge amount of money to struggling people who don't have cash to throw around. If I was told in the first place it would be so expensive I would not of treated myself to the first huge £776 pounds for hair extensions for few months only to be changed with even bigger bill, I expected to pay a couple hundred at most every 3 or 4 months, The stylist Tom was very nice but on my first appointment I arrived in good time for my 11am appointment and was kept waiting to be seen until ten to 12. I was charged £254.50 for a full head of highlights and a toner at the sink. I did not have a hair cut. The toner was pink, which is why they charged me for a colour correction. The fact thats its pink is irrelevant, since you would have a purple toner if your going blonde. I was charged £100 for a colour correction I did not have and I wasn't even happy with the results, which were patchy and uneven. They would not refund me the £100 extra I was charged for services I did not receive. They did not offer to correct my hair, despite going back one day later and telling them I was not happy with the results. In fact they booked me in for another full head of highlights at a cost of £141.50. I have been trying to resolve this issue for months. My appointment was back in June! They continue to insist I was a happy customer, while I continue to insist I was not. I am still not. The define a colour correction as "going from one colour to another in one appointment" and charged me an extra £100 for this. I would not recommend going to this salon.

She was completely right in what she recommended and my colour looks fantastic and my hair so much healthier. The stylist who cut my hair did what I asked him to and then dried my hair in a way that created volum and movement rather than just having it poker straight as most stylists seem to like to do. Yes it is quite pricey but I don't mind paying for my hair as if it looks good it makes me feel good too.
