Saw some reviews on this clinic and I needed a Good Urologist who knew what a V-Y Plasty was. I was…read moreborn with a very rare condition that required total reconstructive surgery when I was 4. I'm having issues now with severe overactive bladder due to cancer treatments including radiation. Dr. Janoff sat and listened to me looking for a solution not just jumping into surgery. The clinic is beautiful and clean. The girls behind the counter very friendly. Everyone I came in contact with has been nothing but great. Looking forward to a lasting relationship here. I'd recommend Dr. Janoff especially if you're like me and have issues that need specific attention to. As of today January 20th, 2026 they are taking new patients

My mother discovered she had a kidney stone that had been there for quite some time. She had been…read moretold by one doctor that the left kidney would not regain functionality. She wanted another opinion. Dr. Shaffer was optimistic and recommended removing the stone immediately to give the kidney a chance to come back. The ureter was scarred, and prevented removal of the stone from below. My mother was awakened and asked if she wanted to go to Radiology, where they would try to reach the stone from above. Due to the anesthesia she has no recollection of this conversation. The stone was also not reachable from above, and the doctor made the decision to drain the kidney with a nephrostomy tube. The kidney did not regain functionality, and now the only option is to remove the kidney. This procedure can cost anywhere from $35 - $70 thousand dollars. It was never explained to my mother that once the kidney had been penetrated, it was a point of no return. At the very 1st appointment, if Dr. Shaffer had said that the likelihood of the kidney regaining functionality was extremely low, OR if he had not asked her to make a major medical decision while under anesthesia, she would not be in this situation now. My mother was upset by the outcome, and Dr. Shaffer was very difficult to talk to. He was impatient and angry, and expressed no compassion or regret. Dr. Shaffer is in no way affected by any of this, and my mother now has to face a life changing surgery (financially), and the possibility of surgery overseas.

Last year, in 2013, I got very sick and went to St. Vincent's ER three times in one week. The last…read moretime someone thought to do an ultrasound of my abdomen and it appeared I had a large abscess. Dr. Ali Khaki was my surgeon and did an OK job. I healed. Then, this year just before Thanksgiving, (about a year later) I developed another abscess in the same place. Dr. Khaki did the job, and I'm healing. At my last visit with him, I asked why the abscesses developed and then, after treatment, came back. I also asked him what we could do to prevent another abscess from coming back. He said he didn't know why I developed the first one and had no idea how to prevent another one in the future. I asked about long-term antibiotics and he said he was against them. I think I want a second opinion about prevention. Today's visit was awful. My appointment was for 11:00 and since I have new insurance, I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early. As my husband and I sat, the waiting room filled up around us - all chairs were taken. Eventually we were called back into a room. The table is taller than I can get on so I had to use a stool. Big deal, I can live with that. Once on the table, my knee started hurting badly. I took some pain pills and hoped it would subside. I lay on the table until Dr. Khaki came in, at 12:40pm. At that point, he looked at my wound and said, "Keep doing what you're doing and come back in six weeks." Five minutes at most. Yet I had to wait, in pain, for two hours. My back was in spasm when I got off the table. Dr. Khaki is probably a good surgeon. But most doctors have SOMETHING to say about the origin of a medical problem in their specialty, and something to say about prevention. Definitely time for a second opinion.

Meanwhile I'm getting contacted by a debt collector claiming Surgical Associates sent my account to them even though I was actively paying on the payment plan that Surgical Associates had set me up on! Could this be a misunderstanding, a mistake, or my fault? I have no f*ing idea because I can't get ahold of anyone! I'm collecting interest on my balance for every day that it goes unpaid and I also sent a payment to Surgical Associates the day they handed my account off so it wasn't deducted. If you have a choice DON'T use Surgical Associates. Their billing department has been completely unresponsive.

I had the EXTREME PLEASURE of having Dr Bi perform an emergency surgery on my hand. I was in my…read moreroom after surgery and she came in and explained to me what she did. She never spoke to me as in I was stupid and was so kind. About a year later she performed Carol tunnel surgery on my hand, followed by the surgery on the other. 2 years later I smashed my hand and required yet another surgery and she fixed that one too. 3 f days later my 40 pound Bengal decided he DID NOT like the dressing on my hand and felt he needed to attack it to get it off his Hooman and damaged the stitches. I didn't think much of it and just redressed it. 2days after that the hand swelled up and was red and A pain I can't even describe. I called her office and spoke with her answering service. Within 15 minutes she called me and told me to come into the office immediately. It was the 4th of July BTW. She took 1 look at it and told me it was infected and she needed to open and clean it and determine the damage. So she numbed it up and opened it rite there. It looked and smelled horrid. She got it cleaned up and repaired the damage. She gave me antibiotics and pain meds. Do you know of ANY DR that will leave a family celebration to RUSH to their office and rescue a SERIOUSLY CLUMSY patient. IMO, that PROVES how much she RESPECTS and LOVES her Patients. I trust her so much I have send my LOVED ones to her and have recommended more of my friends than I can say. If I could give her 500 stars I would. She is a KIND, CARING, Dr that has a true concern about her Patients. I trust her more than I can say. She is a rare combination of, COMPETENCE, PROFESSIONAL, HONESTY, and flat out AWESOMENESS. I have NEVER had a bad experience with her and TRUST her enough that we had her do my husband's surgeries. Last year I had a medium size lump on my forehead AND a tumor in KY bicep. She removed both and is so talented that you can't even see the scar on my face. The tumor in my arm went down to the bone and she handled that like a BOSS. SERIOUSLY, if you need a surgery on your hand or faxe, there is nobody I could recommend more. I Just can't imagine allowing another Dr being better. I know she does plastic surgery, implants, and several other services. She is just AMAZING. Trust me, I don't think you will find anyone better. 50 stars a million thumbs up and my undying and heart
