He gave us a straightforward quote, never made us feel pressured to choose Serenity, answered all of our questions, and gave us time to make our decision. Once the project started, he communicated well throughout the entire project. Permits were taken care of right away. The crew was always respectful of our home, neighbors, and cleaned up after themselves every day. They also stayed close to the timeline they gave us. What really stood out was the Serenity really takes pride in their work. Erik made sure everything was done right and wanted to make sure we were just as happy with the finished product as they were. I have had contractors I thought were good because the first job I gave them turned out great. However, when I've used, or wanted to use them for subsequent jobs, that original workmanship was no where to be seen. Not so with Karma remodeling. I originally hired them upon referral from a friend, to convert wasted attic space into a walk in closet. They created a closet that was above and beyond what I could have imagined. Their work crew cleaned up after themselves every night, and at the end of the job. They started early and stayed late. They even worked on the weekends. They did such a great job and it was such a pleasure working with them that I hired them again in 2025 to add lighting and replace my floors. They also removed my water heater closet and changed the water heater to a tankless heater outside. In 2026 my son's upstairs bathroom shower/tub leaked into the downstairs bathroom. Karma came and gutted my son's bathroom,,and remodeled the downstairs bathroom, and added new cabinets in the laundry room. I thought I was done but with everything looking so nice, I noticed my interior doors had faded from white to yellowish. And I had a pocket door that kept coming off the tracks. Karma came and painted all my interior doors, fixed the pocket door, and they installed a new bifold patio door. I am done for now but already thinking about and talking to Arnon what I might hopefully be able to do next year. Working with Karma is honestly the best experience I've ever had working by myself with contractors. They are always available to help. When you call the office, Michelle is always very kind and helpful, making sure any issues get addressed. Matias makes sure everything is done correctly. If there are ever any issues, Karma is ready and willing to get whatever it is resolved right away. They go above and beyond to make and keep the customer satisfied and happy. The job involved knocking down two walls (one weight-bearing), adding support to the attic and under the house, upgrading our electrical panel, replacing a side door, refinishing/expanding our wood floors and constructing a laundry closet for our washer-dryer stack in the hallway to free up more space in the kitchen area. They also added ceiling lights, new counters, tile, sink fixtures and paint. All of our inspections passed with flying colors. Everyone on their team was honest, kind, professional and easy to work with, especially Matias, our foreman; Eno, our electrician; and Michelle, the office manager. We found Shai and Arnon friendly, down-to-earth and helpful. They were also compassionate. When a close relative of ours died unexpectedly, Karma understood our need to postpone work for a week and made a generous donation to our cousins' go-fund-me account. That meant a lot to us. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that we kept adding more to the job: the crew converted our little-used coat closet into a utility closet, refreshed our guest bathroom with new paint and fixtures, painted our kid's bedroom, replaced an exterior door into the garage and took care of my honey-do list. After years of planning and dealing with unreliable contractors, it was a delight to discover Karma Remodel. We lived in our home during most of the construction and felt comfortable with the respectful crew. When minor things occasionally went awry, Karma responded quickly to address our concerns and ensure our satisfaction. Our new kitchen has turned out even more beautifully than we'd dreamed. They were referred to me by a friend who had her roofing done by them. What impressed her the most was the extra-mile they took to make her happy. Surprisingly, one of the biggest challenges during my numerous interviews, was finding a company who actually knew how to install heated flooring underneath travertine tiles. So I was pleased to learn that Alpha One Construction is experienced in this. It was an extensive project that took 2 months to complete. If you've ever watched HGTV, you'll learn that with any construction projects, obstacles are bound to surface. Nothing ever goes 100% as anticipated. Key, however, is how the company goes about to resolve these issues. I can genuinely say, Alpha One Construction went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I will give one illustration of how Alpha One Construction went above their call of duty. In an effort to reduce my expenses, I opted to paint my existing kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them. Unfortunately, the brackets that were initially installed prior to my moving in were cheap quality. A year after my renovation was complete, a couple of these cheaper brackets broke. Alpha One Construction sent out a couple of their workers, who not only replaced the broken brackets, but proactively changed out all of the cheap quality brackets with the sturdier ones I purchased, in an effort to ensure that this does not happen again. This act alone is why I'm loyal to them. They take pride in their work and that's important. There are "love them and leave them" companies who will ignore you should a problem surface once they collect the final payment. Then there is Alpha One Construction who knows that reputation is everything. This is why I will refer anyone who is considering renovation work on their homes to them. I trust that they have their client's best interest at heart.

(later, I found out that they're not specialized to remodel pool)  Not only they've done a poor job with my coping, now my pool is leaking, and they're not responding to any of my phone calls. I'm afraid that the leak will destroy my house and foundation. At this point, I'm desperate and trying to find someone else to come and take care of my pool. Please stay away from this business.

One of the worst experiences ever. Initial pool remodel work was done over the summer. We gave them…read more8 weeks to complete. When we came home, the concrete work was disappointing. The coping around the pool had cracks. The concrete grids around the pool was wrong color; it was too dark. They tried bleaching it, which only made it worse. The turf they installed in the gridlines did not match our turf in the backyard. It was so poorly installed, our dogs pulled it out in one day. Leo hired a sub contractor named Rafa who did the worst quality work. They also broke the window to my car. They reimbursed me for it. Leo agreed to redo the coping and the tile. We paid for the material. Once they restarted the demo work again, we received a STOP ORDER from the city because they never filed for permits. Our backyard was a disaster for a couple of weeks until they paid the fine and got the permits. I am not happy with the final tile work and not happy with the marble tile they installed around the pool because they did not seal it with grout. They put polymeric sand which is something you use for pavers, not for marble tile. I am trying to find someone to come correct their work. We paid a lot of money for the marble tiles and I don't think they installed them correctly. There were a lot of finishing touches that needed to be done, but they wouldn't come until we threatened to take legal action. It was a nightmare!
