One person decides what someone's garbage is worth. When running a thrift shop you have decide how much you want people to spend each visit. Let's say it's 50 dollars. People buy things that they feel they are getting a huge deal on. And before they know it they have spent 50 dollars "but hey I got 10-12 things!! Thrift shops are the reason people go, "ooh look at my deal" they don't want to feel like they are being ripped off. I saw a change purse that my grandmother would use. Ten dollars. Really? Thats pure insanity.

The store was reorganized in the last year and is far easier to navigate and explore. However, there are a lot of items in the basement section which either have no prices or the tag vanished. It happens. I have brought items upstairs and asked for a price. Those prices are always higher than it seems they should be. For example, there was a bin of spools of thread marked a quarter. I picked a few but none were priced. I was charge fifty cents although I told the clerk how there were marked. This has happened with other items including glassware. After my review, I got a response saying that I should have made an offer. How was I supposed to know that? No sign. Nothing from the clerk. With regard to the thread, I told her what the bin said and she doubled the price anyway. Great shop. Amazing variety. The staff is the problem here.

We had such a great time at the Laconia Antique Center! Even though we didn't end up buying…read moreanything, we easily could have spent a couple of hours browsing. There is so much to look at, and every booth has something different. I was very tempted by a beautiful Wizard of Oz snow globe, but at $90 I decided I didn't really need it. They also had a gorgeous dollhouse for $750 that was fun to admire. One of our favorite parts was upstairs, where they have several large, working model train layouts. We spent quite a while watching the trains run--it was fascinating and a really fun surprise. Whether you're looking for antiques, collectibles, or just enjoy browsing, this is definitely worth a stop. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely come back on our next trip to the area!

Stopped in this afternoon after my daughter walked past and saw the Pokémon signs. She said to them multiple times "excuse me" to ask about there over priced products that I was looking to purchase for her. I assume it was the 2 owners they were talking loudly and paying no attention to us as if we didn't exist. I made meaningful eye contact with them a couple times also to no response. After I finally raised my voice to a loud level to show my irritation we were finally asked how they could help? At this point I decided that these gentlemen did not want our business and handed back the 8 dollar card and let them know we were all set. I'm not going to say we have spent thousands or even hundreds but we definitely would have came back if we were treated well. You get this pathetic excuse of a store. The BBB not finding in my favor is not a thing. That is not what they do. They contact the company and there is no actual finding but a mediator before court. I made it very clear I want my money back which I have still not received back. Now I'm going to go after thousands in court for misuse of my personal data. I'm still going to court to get my money back and falsely using my information to file a fake police report with my private information which is not what that was intended by my personal information. As I've stated this is the worst comic book store in the world and they should and will be shut down. Filing a false police report because someone says they're going to go to Court doesn't constitute a threat. They purposefully lied to me about the value of my trade it. Then misused my information to discredit me.
