The Service is really good too - they're attentive without interrupting your dining experience too much. My partner ordered the Breakfast Bubble Sandwich. I was surprised to see that it included potatoes as they don't normally go with waffles. She said it didn't have much flavour and she asked for some surup to help it out. This could be a fine breakfast place with a few tweaks here and there. I still might choose it over some of the other establishments in town as I value unique menu offerings and locally owned business. I heard the server talking to another customer and saying that they were closed last week because of the lack of staff. That's a problem everywhere but it's probably even more challenging here in Lloydminster where heavy industry pays big wages that are hard to compete with. Do I recommend The Diner? Not really worth the experiment, pretty tasteless. I had two desserts and they were both pretty good, easily the meal highlight. Perhaps its most redeeming features are the Sundae station and chocolate fondue. Infants are free and under 4 are$4, so these items alone make it worth the trip for a young family.
