Why is it that when a female walks into a barber and just wants a fade it's an issue? Is it because I am a female, or does it have to do with personal beliefs? Either way...hair does not have a gender. "Cutting females hair is different from cutting a guys hair." Is what I was told. And I said "hair is hair." I definitely had looks from the males here. It was NOT my first time here. I have been here several times and never had an issue. (Jacob has always been very nice and never gave me an issue.) Man wtf?!? I paid $20 for this!!!!! I quite literally could've done this myself and am trying to fix it. Sometimes a haircut just makes me feel better/refreshed after a bad couple weeks. Today, I felt even worse as I asked for a simple lining and this is what I got!!! Couldn't get my beard included and the "lining" he gave me is trash!! I look literally no different after leaving. We use Jacob for our fades. Excellent fade, terrible service. Yes, the atmosphere is friendly, but it's TOO friendly. The employees seem like they are full time hanging out and cutting hair only in their spare time. Friends of the employees are walking in and out, distracting them from your cut consistently. They take a smoking break after almost every cut. The customer is not at all their priority here. Yes, the fades are good..... but be prepared to spend a few hours sitting on the couch. Even on weekdays we've waited 2 to 3 hours, mostly because of all the play time the employees are having. If you need a tight fade, this is your place. Not worth the hassle for us. read more

Came to hi cuts to see wut they were all about and I can tell you that even though I waited 45 min it was all worth it. They had 4 barbers, plenty of comfortable seating area and vending machines. Place is nice and clean. They take credit cards and it's a walk in place. Steve was the one that hooked me up this time and man he really did hooked it up perfect lining, smooth fade. Horrible! I tried this place out after the barbershop I usually go to closed and was shocked to see how poorly the barbers cut hair! Not only did they ruin my hair but also my brothers. They were constantly stopping to have their own conversations and one was ordering food while clipping my hair. He was extremely careless and it felt like he was trying to dig out my scalp every time he used the clippers or comb. Save your money and go somewhere else. I took my boys here for haircuts yesterday. The owner greeted us as we walked in , and sent us to one of the barbers waiting, I first asked is this one of your good barbers and ofcourse he said yes , but I was not really satisfied with the job he did, not only wasn't he not a good barber but he was not friendly at all ! However I was watching the owner cut ( I believe his name is Jacob)and he is really good, but good luck getting him to cut your hair . They open at 11am and I walked in at 11:05 and he already had one in the chair and 5 people waiting. I've got what could be described as one of the easiest kinds of haircuts possible a Mohawk. In fact I already had a Mohawk before I went in there all he had to do was cut down the overgrowth on the sides up to the long hair in the middle, then BOOM done. This guy handled the clippers like he was attempting to carve into my brain, he even cut into my temple. Then for some reason he felt I didn't need my widows peak, honestly I didn't even realize that was what he was trimming, I thought it was just the sides in the front of my Mohawk. Then he gets out the razor to shave my neck but with NO SHAVING CREAM and he didn't even shave around my ears. Then when he was all done he asks me in I would like some fragrant alcohol to put on my neck where he just shaved me once again with NO SHAVING CREAM. Like what an idiot. I should of walk right out of there as the place seemed dirty and poorly lit. But I am new to the area and I thought I would give these guys a try. But honestly I should of went to sports clips or even John Amicos both of them are on the same street not even a mile away. I think you will take your chances at his place, and I know I will never go back. I still can't get past how as a barber you can charge 20.00 bucks without the tip for a haircut and not pull out .10 cents worth of shaving cream to shave around the ears and the back of the neck.
