I can't say enough how good this stylist is and she's consistent with her work. She listens to what you want and asks questions to find out what you don't want before she does anything to your hair! Her skills are exquisite, I went in recently almost in tears after getting a bad cut at a high priced salon in hillcrest and Gloria knew exactly what to do to fix it. She's very particular about keeping her instruments and station clean, and frequently tells me about new rules that Cali has come out with regarding nail salons, so she's not only aware of the rules, she follows them! She also does nails by hand, not with a Dremel tool, which makes for a much more comfortable experience. I haven't had my hair done by her mom, Gloria, but she's recommended numerous hair care products to me, with great results. This is a very friendly, family-atmosphere salon that I highly recommend!

Locker room in IB…read more.. Just giving a heads up to walk-ins for future customers. For context I've been getting the same haircut for almost 3 years now. Been here about 6 times or so and there are some good barbers here and I'm glad one of the barbers offered a free cut after I left but I cant come back to this place. Was cut by a new barber and asked for a burst fade with a 5 on top. I usually let barbers work their art and I was clearly wrong for doing so. I sat for almost 3 hours for this cut. 2 hours in the barber said he was done and I have a FAUX-HAWK! It was clearly not what I asked for so I tried to be cool with it since he said he'd cut it off and just fade the back. Instead I still got a triangle shape cut in the back and he C cupped one of my sideburns and messed up the other side leaving a flat line on the side and left a bald spot he accidentally cut next to the imperfection on my head (red mole). Kinda pissed there were so many barbers in there without a customer, watching as my hair got messed up. I would've been happy if they stepped in after I said I didn't ask for a faux-hawk instead like 2 barbers walked away to let him try to fix it after he was going at it for over 2 hours. If someone's still learning help them out before it ends up like this. Sorry if this comes off as rude, but I'm embarrassed that I'm going to wear this cut for at least 2 weeks.
