With greenfield news and hobby gone I find my self making the drive for my hobby needs. It's in the pick n save mall and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful every time I go there and they even fixed a broken train for $5 that I couldn't fix. They have an extensive model train section which I like. They also offer rc stuff, rockets, doll house stuff, race cars, model cars, paints, decals, raw materials, and many more that I didn't mention. It sad that hobby shops are disappearing but for now this is the one place that always can take care of my needs.

As a fan of model cars I was delighted to find a hobby shop in walking distance from my hotel.

Excellent service and because we bought the car kit there we get a punch card for free racing and track time. I took my 9 year old nephew who is currently in a wheelchair for something fun to do during spring break. The lady at the counter (Sarah) who is also the manager is extremely friendly and helpful she explained how the rental process works and said it would be 30-40 min till it would be ready But we were able to look at the track, While we were there we talked to Matt? i believe who was just as helpful and friendly with everything. We left and came back a short time later to try his luck on the course. He did pretty well, but eventually the 1 R/C car broke, the lady was fine about it and said not to worry, we went back and watched the others race. We came back into the showroom to find the truck fixed and charged she asked if he was ready to go back out. so he did, a little while later the truck broke again but Kyle was quick to help fix the truck and get him back going, he played abit longer till the battery started to die and we called it a day. He had a ton of fun and is wanting a R/C car of his own now! Thanks again for the great day.

Games Universe in Mequon: Sellers Beware!…read more I went into Games Universe in Mequon to sell more than 1,000 Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards. I was told the cards would be scanned individually and priced at 50% of TCGplayer. That sounded reasonable. Before going in, I personally scanned every card using CollX to get an idea of the collection's market value. CollX estimated the collection at more than $500, so based on Games Universe's stated 50% buying rate, I expected an offer somewhere around $240-$250. After approximately 24 hours, they called and offered me $64. That works out to roughly 6 cents per card. These were not worthless cards. The collection consisted primarily of vintage commons and mostly unplayed cards that had been in my possession for more than 20 years. There were dozens of cards in the $1-$3 range and nine copies of Seething Song that they themselves valued at approximately $11 each, and a Pokémon Blaziken V that I had valued at around $28. When I went into the store to discuss the offer, Conor explained their system in a condescending manner. I started by asking about the nine Seething Songs. He confirmed they valued them at $11 each--$99 worth of cards. At 50%, those nine cards alone should have represented roughly a $50 offer. According to their $64 total offer, that would leave only $14 for the other 1,063 cards. That was when I knew something was seriously wrong and the experience felt extraordinarily deceptive and predatory. If a store tells customers their cards will be individually evaluated and purchased at 50% of market value, an offer that amounts to roughly 6 cents per card raises serious questions. I have been buying, selling and playing Magic for approximately 30 years. I explained that I was the sole owner of these cards and that they had been in my possession for more than two decades. Conor's response was that none of that mattered to him and that he didn't need to "hear my credentials." It didn't need to become confrontational. It could have simply been a conversation about the cards and the offer. Instead, Conor's increasingly aggressive and condescending tone became particularly troubling as it became clear that I was not going to accept what I felt was an attempt to take advantage of the uneven leverage they apparently believed they had over me. Once I decided to take my cards back, and therefore take the potential profit from those cards away from the store, the entire transaction went sour and the interaction became increasingly unprofessional. Conor became agitated and verbally aggressive, making comments I won't repeat here. I took my cards and left. When I got home, I scanned the collection myself using the TCGplayer app. The results were eye-opening: 1,011 Magic cards: $401.26 61 Pokémon cards: $49.83 Total TCGplayer value: $451.09 Games Universe offered me $64. By their own stated 50% buying guidelines, that collection should have generated an offer of approximately $225.54. Instead, they offered me $64--roughly 28% of what their own buying policy would suggest and only 14% of the total TCGplayer value. The numbers don't lie. I walked in expecting a legitimate card-selling experience based on the terms they gave me. I walked out with my cards because I no longer trusted the process. Maybe there is an explanation for their $64 valuation. If so, it should have been transparent and obvious from the beginning. What I experienced was a massive disconnect between the buying process they described and the offer they actually made. If you are considering selling cards at Games Universe, do your homework first. Know your cards' value, get multiple offers, and don't blindly trust a stated percentage of market value. I will never step foot in that store again. I gave Games Universe an opportunity to conduct an honest and professional transaction, and in my experience, they destroyed whatever trust could have existed. For me, that's the end of the story and the end of my business with Games Universe.

Initially when I couldn't find the items on my own, I just was going to leave the store, but as soon as I met Erin, she turned things around. She really knows her Christmas products and department, and extended herself. She is a great asset to your store. Thanks Erin, strong work!

Value: +++++ Stock: +++++…read moreVariety: +++++ Overall service summary: ++++ I am not this crafty person more because I have other priorities. My wife just loves Hobby Lobby and was so excited to have this location open a few years back. So with that being said I or we love this place and I will write this review to include thoughts from my wife. They are much larger and have a larger inventory than competitor Michael's. The store is well planned and laid out by "crafts" or needs. Always plenty of inventory on the shelf. And from my point of view every type of craft or hobby imaginable besides electrical or RC type hobby. So this is aimed at more of the crafts. My youngest son is in cub scouts and entered the pinewood derby race (2nd time) and I had gone to Elliot's Ace hardware last year for supplies and this year to a Michael's only to need more glue later in and decided to come here. Well now I found out they have a very extensive section for pinewood derby and no need to drive 20 minutes further than here. I also like the corporate philosophy of treating their employees with Christian values and the store hours and holidays reflect that. You sure don't find that too often in today's political correctness. I believe their prices are very reasonable too. Always clean and organized. The aisles are not too small and cramped with stock. So with all of this love, why 4 stars? The overall service brings the rating down to 4 stars. Just okay. Always need to search around for help and usually one checkout is open. Occasionally two. During holidays that's when you feel the wait is excessive. But they probably manage their cost with the labor really well and pass that savings down to the consumer so if I could give them 4.5 stars I would. To me, no need to go anywhere else for your craft needs.
