Whenever we are in a mood for a Chinese buffet we have come here, been 3x in the past month, unfortunately our visit on Sunday evening wasn't the best. They have a variety of options and even a hibachi section in the back where they cook for you which is the most fresh. The brewed tea is good and the buffet is fairly priced about $16 per person. The entry has a nice ambiance with a large Asian fountain. The buffet has an American section, typical Chinese offerings from egg rolls to crab rangoons and many chicken entrees, and a salad bar. A sushi section as well. There is also a desert section, but unfortunately it's pretty bad everything is very dry and pretty tasteless. This last time we just went on Sunday 8/4/24 most of the food was lukewarm warm at best and chewy. Felt like a waste of money for all old food which was surprising bc we went @5pm for dinner. Probably won't return for a few weeks due to the quality of the food this last time. read more

This place is smaller and does not offer the street appeal of the other china buffet restaurants. Also, not sure if it's awesome because I hadn't had a Chinese buffet all year? Well, I have been 3 times in the past 2 weeks and it is still awesome. The food is perfect, the TV's have all been on a the news and it quiet enough inside to actually watch tv. Don't let the outside distract you from going in. Oh...did I mention the buffet with drink is under $10.00? I love this place. read more

From the outside, Hibachi China Buffet looked promising. Entering the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. It really looks like a Chinese restaurant. It is clean and tastefully decorated. Pretty large dining area, and bathrooms are very clean. Now, the food. It was edible, but that was about it. The lo mein was tasteless. The salmon suspicious. The best things were the chicken and broccoli, the Gen Tso's chicken and the shrimp. And the buttered imitation crab. I tried one bite of the banana pudding, also tasteless, and no bananas. The sushi would've been good, but it tasted as if it had been sitting in the cold too long and the rice was hardening. I didn't try the hibachi, which was probably a mistake. When we arrived we were starving and wanted to eat right away. No one was at the hibachi bar. By the time we got started eating, a big crowd came in and were ordering, which was good, since the hibachi cook looked bored and unhappy. If we ever go back, I will try that first. read more

This was my first visit to this particular restaurant. I came for any early dinner around 5pm. Service staff was very friendly & the restaurant was clean & had a nice quiet ambiance. My only negative was the buffet seemed to be mostly old food. I tried several different things. The lo mien was good as was the crab salad. I'll eventually go try it again. As I was leaving they were bringing out more fresh food for the buffet. I guess my timing was bad. read more

The first thing we noticed was the cheep 26 some dollars me and my fiancé spent to get in. Although that is cheep it begs the question on why the price is so little compared to other similar restaurants. The restaurant was way to quiet to the point it was awkward and we felt as if we couldn't communicate with each other. We then got up to get our last plate and when we returned all of our stuff was gone. The lady then gave us a smug look and said she thought we were done. Well, my favorite place was closed today, so we went here. Where to start. Full of loud, obnoxious people ( adults and children) food was COLD and even yge guy at the hibachi grill wasn't happy, he put no seasoning on yhe good, just made sure it was hot. $26 for 2, cheap doesn't begin to explain. Well all I can say is that this place was a place to eat when you are real hungry. I went with my family in South Carolina and everybody had good time. The sushi I didnt try. I have a rule I stick to if its laying out there in a buffet setting I dont touch it. I need the fresh stuff. All I say is it the food hit the spot and I didnt get sick. read more

Decided to give this one a try today for lunch. They have a fair selection of buffet items; the protein choices for the hibachi were chicken, beef and fake crabmeat (no shrimp), and the sushi was fresh but mediocre. There is no service except for removal of used plates from your table; drinks are all serve yourself. Not on my list for a repeat visit. read more

Kind of a strange setup. Im not a big fan of paying before I eat at a sit down place. But that is what you do. Be careful though, they put a place on the receipt for the tip. Im thinking, "ok...someone will keep my drink full". WRONG!!! They have a drink machine and you keep your own drink fill. No waitress service at all except for when they take your used plates. Food wise...food was pretty good. Food bar was hot. Food trays were full and nothing looked like it had been out since New Years day. I eat here often with my family. It's better than the other Chinese buffets in town The prices are good and the food is usually warm. My husband likes the California rolls which are made fresh. The Hibachi grill is good too. You do pay when you arrive and you have to refill your own drink. The only bad thing is that their menu really never changes. They have the same variety of food all the time, they could switch it up on the recipes. The only thing that does switch up is the desserts. Crab legs used to be free years ago but now you have to order by the pound. I eat here often and I do wish they wouldn't keep there TVs on the news all the time. I highly recommend going somewhere else. Everything has a strange plasticky taste, nothing was fresh, pieces of chicken were grey and clearly off. The only thing that tasted normal was the noodles. My Wife and I pretty much love this place. We drive 46 miles to come here every time because there is no such place any closer. For the price you pay and the quality of food, you get your money's worth. Every visit, the place has been clean and also empty tables were clean and had no dirty plates on them Also, we think they have a good variety of food. My Wife has her likes and I have mine. I gave 4 stars because the bathrooms and restaurant was very clean. They had quite a selection of chicken, beef, shrimp and imitation crab, as well as your typical Chinese dishes. The fresh fruit was good as well as the fresh ingredients for the hibachi grill. The only downside was some sushi looked like it had been sitting for a bit, the salad croutons were stale and the jello was chewy. The staff was very friendly and kept the table cleared. After eating here I understand why they make you pay first. I gave them 2 stars only because they were friendly and I didn't get sick. Crab Rangoons were so tough they were inedible, dim sum tasted as if they were a week old and were tough and chewy. Chicken wings were again tough and chewy to the point of being inedible. Iron plate chicken and chicken with mushrooms were not too bad but definitely nothing worth returning for. Did not try the hibachi or sushi so I can not comment on them other than the hibachi meat looked scary so I stayed away. I wouldn't have bothered to write a review for this place except that my wife and I were looking for something quick and this place had 3.9 stars so we stopped in only to feel mislead and disappointed especially for the $12 per person price. read more

If I could describe the food with only one word, I would choose disgusting. The food was mushy, no taste, no flavor. Even the salad tasted like it had been sitting at the bar forever. Restaurant however looks nice and clean but I believe that because they don't have a lot of traffic, the food sits forever at the bar. I didn't even finish half of my plate because of how the food tasted. It was extremely high priced for what it really is. Maybe I'm just easy to please, but I found this place to be great. It is world's above its former competitor, the "other" Hibachi Grill, which was shut down due to a long history of health code violations. They actually have pork products on the buffet, which is nearly unheard of. Boneless spare ribs all day? Yup! It is decorated sparsely but tastefully, and there is ample variety on the buffet. The food is great. Sure, it could be better, but it could be worse. The buffet attendants did their job well and even during a lull in the mid-afternoon there were no dried out items on the buffet. They also have the typical hibachi/sushi setup. Please tip them. Prices were a little more than I expected, at $11 for a drink and buffet during lunch, but I'll take it for the improved quality. I'm not voting 5 stars due to the fact that my server seemed to expect a tip despite not doing a damn thing for me. It was awkward when I was leaving, and the language barrier made trying to communicate impossible. Again, you get your own drinks. I guess they expect a tip for bussing your table. I put some pocket change on the table and beat a hasty retreat. Maybe they should change the setup so there's not any confusion as to tipping expectations. read more

Decided to go to here for lunch on Saturday. I am not usually a fan of Chinese buffet as the food generally lacks the authenticity I look for in my Chinese cooking. I was surprised and thrilled. The buffet offered many wonderful dishes, which I saw were constantly being refreshed. Nothing looked old. The Hibachi cook was very good and a pleasant man to talk to. The dish he cooked for me was perfect and even with no items over or undercooked. I noticed a comment about the protein choices; they now have shrimp. My teens look for the sushi and while they do not have many choices available, the Hibachi chef also appears to be an excellent sushi preparer and all of the sushi is made on site. When I payed for the buffet I also took a copy of the take out/dine in menu and saw that they offer many more sushi options as well as dishes not available on the buffet which could be ordered for an additional price. This included sushi in the raw; after all, who wants raw sushi that has sat? I liked the option to get my own drink because it allowed me to switch from soda or tea to water near the end of the meal. The service staff were wonderful and during the course of the meal there was never a time when dirty plates were staked on my table waiting to be picked up. They were intrusive allowing for enjoyment our meal and uninterrupted flow of conversation. I do plan to make it a weekly or biweekly lunch stop and occasional family dinner spot. read more
