Avoid this place at all costs. Let me start by saying the food is not bad and there are a couple of decent waitresses that provide sufficient service. The problem with this place is the owner/cashier. He is an older Asian man who absolutely has no idea what customer service is. He is by far the rudest and most inconsiderate person I have ever seen in a restaurant or in the food service industry. Usually I am extremely lenient/not bothered by this type of thing especially if the food is good BUT this guy is absolutely ridiculous and does not need to be interacting with customers unless he makes a complete 180 with his attitude, service and manners. Below are 3 examples of why you should take your money and business elsewhere: Example 1: I have dined in numberous times during lunch hours. During my time in the restaurant the owner/cashier has repeatedly watched videos in a foreign language on FULL volume making it nearly impossible to ignore. He just sits there not caring that someone might be trying to have a conversation at their table or even just trying to enjoy a relaxing lunch before heading back to work. He is completely oblivious and simply does not care who he bothers. I'll admit this is not a reason to avoid the restaurant but it was strike one for me. Example 2: My dad drove over 30 minutes to eat here as he enjoys the soup and other food options. My dad ordered his food and expressed how he had driven over 30 minutes and was really looking forward to his meal. The man never even looked up at him. This is the same experience I've had upon paying him at the front counter. He won't look, acknowledge, or greet his customers. Simply unacceptable and strike two for me. Example 3: The final straw came from the same visit I referred to above when my dad drove from afar to order takeout. Upon waiting for his food, my dad noticed a group of PAYING customers who had just finished a meal and were enjoying some conversation around the table before departing the restaurant. The owner/cashier YELLED at the group asking "ARE YOU FINISHED YET?" My dad said the group looked shocked and just stood up and proceeded to leave the place. That was all I needed to hear for Strike 3!! I'm conclusion, it doesn't matter if they were serving 5 Star cuisine at a 1 Star price. He does NOT deserve your business. If he has this much of an issue dealing with people and providing customer service at the simplest level(being a cashier) he needs to hire someone that can. The customers are what keeps his restaurant open and pays his bills. Until he realizes that... he has lost my business. I am typically not the type to negatively review or go after anyone but I felt the need to publish the type of service being provided at this location. read more

We came across this Chinese restaurant during our trip from Atlanta to Clemson and to Disney World this summer. Looks like a typical local dining spot, not that big and fancy. But their general sue (or soo) chicken was awesome and second to none! If you get a chance to drop by, u must try this dish and iced tea. Chowmen was the pick of my kids, but not mine. I can remember going to Bamboo Garden as young as Kindergarten over 20 years ago and the food has always tasted phenomenal to me! My go to is the Cantonese Boneless Chicken and Egg Rolls; I have never found a better Egg Roll anywhere, period. The restaurant is usually quiet and the wait staff is very attentive, they bring a cart around with everything you could need and I have honestly never been disappointed. The owners appear to be really kind, hardworking people that put a lot of effort into their food and business. read more

Where do I start? Bar none, the least desirable Chinese food in Anderson, with a surly, nasty, and rude old man at the cash register. The food is absolutely terrible and extremely overpriced, portions are pathetically small. The only way this place has stayed in business for so long is because it's in a neighborhood that is ghetto and most people there make poor life decisions, anyway. This isn't just a one time experience...this has been going on for years. On another trip there, it was me and one other person. We wanted to share a large entree. We were abundantly clear about this. There was a sharing fee. That's fine. I find them to be ridiculous, but your restaurant, your rules. Well, they double billed us, and then when I tried to take it up nicely with the old man in front I swear I thought he was going to hit me. He actually spit in my face, not a loogie, mind you, but he stood so close to me that I thought it was going to come to blows. Then he refused to accept our debit card. I didn't have enough cash on me to pay for the double billed meal, so I waited patiently until he reduced the tab to reflect the entree and the sharing fee. I thought that was the end of it, but when I checked my account someone added a $50 tip instead of $5. After a back and forth with my bank, I got the bill charge reduced. I will never again set foot in this deplorable trash bin again. I guess crackheads and the mentally challenged love it, though, because it's been in business for so long. read more

This has been a good Chinese Restaurant In Anderson for over 20 years. We love to go here. It is next door to Quality Foods grocery Store. They bring out the cart, ehole nine yards dinners! It is great! The servers are also good too. Alot classer than the buffet places. read more

I went to this restaurant tonight, 10/21/2015. We walked in at 8:55pm. The man at the desk, who had his nose stuck in a newspaper, asked if we were eating here. We said yes, and asked which menu. He pointed to the menu on the counter, and said sit anywhere. We then found our seat. The waitress (?) came and took our drink order immediately, then right away asked if we were ready to order. Umm we just sat down!!! So we asked for a few min. She then came with the drinks and we ordered our food. Not one smile from this girl. The man at the counter, kept answering the phone and yelling into the phone, "We are CLOSED". The sign said they were open till 9:30pm. It was ONLY 9:15. He then yelled back to the kitchen, across the entire restaurant, with people sitting eating, (3 tables) to close the kitchen. We were rushed to eat our meal. I felt like I could NOT enjoy my dinner! He then walked back, and actually shut out all the restroom lights, at 9:25. I am on medication, and needed to use the restroom, but he shut it down! Then walked by our table as were were still eating, and said WE ARE CLOSED!!! WTH??? So I put my dinner up, in a container, and walked out!!! The ONLY tip we left, was change that was left from paying the bill...and I mean change left from a dollar!! On a brighter note, the food was fantastic, just could not enjoy it.
