Upon entering the store I could see the show wall and noticed they carried Hokas and I was interested in seeing for myself how they felt. There is even a treadmill for runners to try the shoes before purchasing. Fernando was wonderful. After telling him what I had been wearing and the issue I was having he gave me the VIP treatment. In addition to being fitted with the old-school sizer he explained to me why extra room was needed. I also had a foot scan done which was very informative. Fernando also showed me a few things I had been doing that can hinder the wear and tear on my shoes. I purchased the Hoka Bondi and with Fernando's advice I'm no longer adding to the wear of my new shoes. I look forward to purchasing from Big Peach again. The Hokas along with Fernando's help were worth every dollar spent.

The store is clean, organized, and easy to access with plenty of free parking. The employees were friendly and polite, so no complaints there. My biggest issue was the selection. There wasn't much inventory on the shelves, and when I asked about the HOKA model I wanted, I was basically told to check online. That's a little frustrating since the whole point of visiting a shoe store is to actually try on shoes before buying them. If I was ready to shop online, I could have stayed in my pajamas and saved the drive. Overall, customer service was good and the store looked nice, but the limited selection left me walking out empty-handed. There seemed to be a good variety of fabrics and styles in the clothing when I was there. They didn't have the shoes I was looking for, but they carried the brand I wanted. Lots of free parking in the mall parking lot. It's located on the end of the row of stores, so there is not as much traffic. Although it's not as close to the university as the downtown Athens stores, it is only a short drive. It is near several other stores and close to several restaurants. Also on bus routes.

She confirmed that they had exactly what I was looking for so I told her I'd be there shortly. About 15-20 minutes later I walked into the store and was greeted by Lala while she was behind the counter helping another customer. Once she finished with that customer she ran to the back to get the exact item I had called about. I was in & out in less than 5 minutes with exactly what I needed. Lala was so nice, helpful and professional. To put the cherry on top she walked from behind the counter to personally give me my purchase! But when I walked in and discussed the repair of my shoes, the guy at the desk seemed overwhelmed and was stating how much work he had to do, which is inappropriate! You shouldn't present to your customers that you have too much work. I felt like I was being a burden to him by wanting him to repair my shoes. I said to him you should be happy for the business. The inside of my boots needed some cleaning but my main issue was my heel. He said the cost to replace the heel and polish up. The boots would be $70 . I said OK but then I asked about cleaning the inside of the boots. He said that would be another $50. I said absolutely not. I could buy another pair of boots at that price. The boots only cost me $110. I was having them because I like them. When I picked up the boots a few weeks later the heels were replaced, which I was happy about. But the rest of the boot looked basically the same. No " spit polish. " the boots look the same as when I brought them to the store. They just had new heels. Anyway, I won't be returning. I tried to support a local business. But they need to really watch how they speak to customers. Suggestion: do not complain to new customers that you have too much work. Always go above and beyond. I'm gonna give you one star rating. I won't say I don't recommend your business. I don't have an option to be "neutral" so I'll choose "maybe"..
