Called on a Sunday morning and left a voicemail to see if they could squeeze me in same day. Happily they called back pretty quickly even before they were open offering a 90 minute appointment for that afternoon. Showed up a few minutes ahead of time like the person advised when I booked. Bryce was my massage therapist. He is familiar with my chronic condition. He checked in and adjusted the pressure and massage as worked best for my body and loosening up my muscles. My neck felt like I had gained an inch or more because of how much more loose the muscles were upon leaving than when I got there. Posture felt way better. Space between my shoulders and ears longer with so much tension released. My hip flexors felt great and I can't wait to get home and do some pigeon poses to enjoy my newly loosened hips and legs. Sometimes, things happen for a reason. We planned on scheduling a couple's massage during Valentine's weekend at Kura Door. But they told us they were not doing couple's massages at this time. Hence, we looked elsewhere and booked with Hibiscus. It was a great experience! The spa is located in a refurbished house in downtown Salt Lake City with a few spots in front for street parking. The greeting and waiting area is small and can get difficult to social distance when you're crossing paths with clients for the next appointment. We both scheduled for a Swedish with some Thai incorporated. Grace was my boyfriend's therapist and Chedier was mine. He said Grace did a good job with the deep tissue he had wanted. He just wish we had booked for more time, so she could work out some of those stubborn knots that he had. I really want to talk about Chedier though! I've probably gotten somewhere around a hundred massages in my life and hers is in my top 5! She knew how to use her fingers and it was just a unique experience. I'd come back just for her! Definitely glad we found out about this place. Appreciated the sparkling apple cider and chocolates they left for us as well. read more

I had to wait a while for someone to come about an hour after they open and since only one person was there during my massage he had to leave 3-4 times to help people who had come in. He was very apologetic about the hole situation and in the end gave me an extra 20 minutes on my massage. I enjoyed my massage very much and was relieved of my back pan for a good week. read more

Pretty disappointed in this one. My boyfriend and I got the couples massage and the girl that did his was great but I had the guy and it was very poor. No part of it was enjoyable and injured my shoulders pretty bad. I haven't been able to lift anything at the gym since my massage. Not sure if he didn't know what he was doing but messed me up pretty bad. I got a deep tissue but will not be going back to him. read more

I went to Hibiscus Springs Spa a week ago on the last day of a visit to Salt Lake City, and I'm so glad I did. They were able to fit me in at the last minute about 40 minutes after I called - a small miracle - and every part of the experience was fantastic, something I really needed as an athlete coming off a week of competition. My therapist was Grace, whom I'd highly recommend. She was so friendly, helpful, and took all the awkwardness out of getting seminaked with a stranger. Beyond that, she was just really, really good at her job, to the point you can tell she loves what she does: helping people. She could tell exactly where all the problem spots were and how hard she could work them before it'd be too much. She was great at explaining everything she was doing (I'm always curious), as well as giving me tips on how to keep everything in good working order in the future. She made me feel so at ease during something that always has the potential to be really weird and really listened to everything I said about my body and what it needed. I took a redeye that night and in the morning, I was so much less sore than I would have been without the massage, which tells you how effective she was! I wish I lived in Salt Lake City so I could go to this place all the time, but since I don't, you'll have to go for me. Ask for Grace and get ready to feel awesome! read more

Hands down the best massage I've had in a very long time. My husband and I received a 60 minute couples massage from Grace and Bryce. I could not recommend them highly enough. We both had deep tissue massages with very firm pressure. Both of us agreed later that both masseuses' were very skilled as they worked out problem areas. My husband has a lot of damage from past injuries, and I work as a nurse suffering from back pain. The pressure was intense but I could tell my muscles were reacting well and got some serious release. Check in was fast, questions were relevant, and staff was incredible. After a seven drive from Yellowstone to Salt Lake, I was exceptionally lucky. When Kura Door took me through a tedious online sign up process just to find out if they had an open slot, I gave up and called Hisbiscus. Luckily, Grace had an open slot. I admit when I first met Grace, I was sure I would be disappointed... after all I'm 6,2" and used to strong deep tissue massages. Grace blew all that away. Using her elbows, legs and exceptionally strong hands, over 90 minutes, she took away all my cramps and fatigue from the long drive, and simply delivered the best massage I have had in years. I said to her I wish she worked in LA... my lady and I would go to her every week... I cannot recommend her enough. She is excellent. read more
