From the start, they've been nothing but wonderful. The care is excellent, and even more than that, the entire staff is kind, welcoming, and genuinely invested in our pup's wellbeing. We always feel comfortable and confident leaving our dog in their care, and they show that they love our dog as if it were their own! We got him neutered here and have had several other visits for checkups/vaccines/ear infection treated which have all been a seamless experience for both us and Fidley, with lots of treats and love for him! Couldn't recommend Dr. Panzarella, Dr. Drewes, and the entire vet tech team enough!

I was able to book the last same-day appointment online for 4:30pm, but thanks to Tampa traffic, I arrived at 4:46. Even though it was past the 15-minute grace period, the front desk team -- especially Megan -- reassured me they would still happily see Sunny. That grace and understanding alone meant so much. They also offered complimentary beverages, and the apple juice I grabbed genuinely helped me calm down after the hectic drive and worry about missing the appointment. Sunny was being seen for a possible ear infection, and Christina, our vet tech, was absolutely wonderful. She listened carefully to all my concerns, explained the next steps clearly, and provided a detailed estimate before any treatment. She treated Sunny with so much kindness, giving her plenty of treats and pets to keep her comfortable during the exam. Dr. Adair Duvall was equally fantastic. She walked me through treatment options, reviewed some dental treats and an ear solution I had previously bought on Amazon, and gave thoughtful recommendations for products that are actually proven to be more effective. Her expertise and patience were incredible. At checkout, Sunny was treated to a complimentary puppuccino, which absolutely made her day! And the next morning, Thay from the office called to check in on how she was doing, which was such a thoughtful touch. The care, kindness, professionalism, and grace we received here made me officially switch Bayshore Animal Clinic to Sunny's primary vet. I can't recommend them highly enough. We're so grateful for everyone -- Dr. Duvall, Christina, Megan, and Thay -- for making what could have been a stressful visit such a paw-sitivd experience.

I just visited their new location on Dale Mabry and it was nothing short of amazing. I had no wait, the clinic was clean, the staff were very friendly and attentive to my skittish dog who was unaware of the new environment. They asked me questions and were very thoughtful as they went above and beyond to make my dog and me comfortable with the new environment. After my visit, they gave me such a cute summary of everything that was completed and reminders of what needs to be done for my next visit, including some brochures that they gave me because they knew I was new to town and looking for an emergency vet and other things. Not to mention my first exam was free!!! overall 10 out of 10 experience and I would recommend to anybody who is nervous and new to town and looking for a no hassle vet who cares about your pup.

I called and easily made an appointment for the following week. Parking is plentiful as they have a large lot. The front desk was efficient, and I was taken back only about 10 minutes after my appointment time. I didn't get anyone's name, but the vet tech helping me was very friendly, and took down all of Herbie's details. Then the female vet came in, and she too was friendly and efficient, and put my mind at ease that nothing was wrong. She couldn't listen to Herbie's heart, however, because he wouldn't stop purring. Awww.. little guy. I did pay extra (which is weird I think) to have Herbie's nails clipped. They took him to the back for this, while I waited in the lobby. When he was returned to me, I was told he was grumpy about having this done. I guess that's why they actually missed clipping all his nails, and I had to do a few when I got home. I'm excited that this is my new vet because they are close by, efficient, and friendly.

ZERO STARS After…read morebeing a loyal client for more than two years, I was beyond disappointed by the inconsistency in how this practice handles "emergencies." I recently needed to reschedule a technician appointment for my dog's Cytopoint injection due to a major plumbing emergency at my home. In an effort to still get my dog the allergy medication desperately needed, I rescheduled twice on the same day, moving the appointment from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. When it became clear the plumbers were far from finished, I called approximately 1.5 hours before the appointment to provide an update. Rather than focusing on helping me and my pet reschedule, the conversation immediately turned to a warning that if I needed to reschedule one more time, I would be required to place a $25 deposit on all future appointments, followed by a detailed review of the clinic's four-hour cancellation policy. There was no acknowledgment of the extenuating circumstances that led to my request or the fact that I had provided advance notice. What is particularly frustrating is that the clinic does not appear to extend the same consideration to its clients. During a previous visit in 2026, I was left standing next to my 14-year-old dog with IVDD on exam table and left waiting for approximately 40-50 minutes while staff attended to an emergency involving a chicken that had been brought into the clinic. I completely understand that veterinary emergencies happen and should take priority. However, by the clinic's own logic and policies, clients' time should have value as well. No one offered a discount, credit, apology, or even an acknowledgment that my appointment had been significantly delayed. The inconsistency is hard to ignore. When a client experiences an unforeseen emergency and provides advance notice, they are reminded about clinic policies and future fees. When the clinic's schedule is disrupted by its own emergency, clients are expected to absorb the lost time, missed work, and inconvenience without the same level of consideration - what a glaring double standard! Empathy, understanding, and consistency work both ways. These most recent interactions left me feeling that my pet's health, and my time and hard-earned money would be better spent anywhere else.

So, at 16 we had to make the hard choice to give our pup the best possible send-off as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. When we came for care we knew we would probably be making that decision in the near future, but didn't realize it would be so soon. The staff and doctors at Westchase were awesome. Dr. Espinoza spent quality time with us and discussed options for care at Angus' stage of life. She gave us sound options and advice. When we eventually had to make our decision, everyone was so kind to us. This is not the first time we have had to send off a loved pet, but it was probably one of the best experiences we have had with the process. I can't begin to express how grateful we were for the compassion we were shown during our time of grief. We would definitely recommend Westchase Veterinary.

When I repeatedly questioned whether all the proposed lab work was truly necessary, the veterinarian finally admitted that several tests were not necessary at that point and could wait. If I had not challenged the recommendations, would I have been charged for lab work my pet did not immediately need? I then asked to speak with the owner, who is also a veterinarian. Instead of addressing my concerns, she told me that the clinic has to make money to pay its overhead. I was stunned. I asked her directly whether that meant they take advantage of trusting customers who bring in their beloved family pets by recommending services that are not immediately necessary. She had no response. I also heard that the practice is moving into a larger facility. After being told that customers' money is needed to cover the clinic's overhead, I cannot help but question whether aggressive testing and excessive charges are helping finance that expansion!!!!! That is my personal concern based on what I experienced and what the owner said directly to me!! Veterinary recommendations should be based on what an animal medically needs--not on a clinic's overhead or expansion plans. Pet owners are frightened and vulnerable during an emergency, and they deserve honesty, transparency, and informed consent. I left feeling misled, taken advantage of, and unable to trust their recommendations. I will never return. Demand an itemized estimate, ask whether every test is immediately necessary, and consider getting a second opinion. Based on my experience, go here at your own financial risk!!!
