10 out of 10. This place definitely deserves its flowers and more. It's the best place to eat in Pulaski, TN and the line/wait times in the evening will let you know it. When on travel I like to go there for lunch as they are not as busy. Food is amazing, service is amazing, and the sweet tea is a must. Check them out if you're ever in the area.

Saturday night in Pulaski, TN, where do u go to eat? Hickory House Restaurant. The place with Certified Angus Beef. The prime rib was very good. It didn't need anything added to enhance the favor. It was perfect My friends had the barbecue stuffed potato and it was perfect. The restaurant was filling up, the parking lot was almost full but fortunately we were seated within minutes of walking in. Our server was excellent. She brought water, extra napkins, and was continually refilling our drinks. The restaurant was busy, but you could talk to each other without yelling to the back yard. LOL. Of course, I love the smell of steak. And of course the facilities were good. PS. You must try the baked beans.

Came by this location while in Pulaski for a football game. Decided to try the Brisket and the ribs. Both had decent flavor, but was a bit disappointed with the size. We definitely didn't get a full rack of ribs, and the brisket was a bit skimpy too. That being said, the service was excellent and we had a good time trying a new place

There are two buffet islands, one with main course and sides and some desert, the other with a salad bar and more desert options. There is also an ice cream machine that my wife swears tastes just like Chik-fil-a's. The food is almost all southern, and some of it got rotated out while we ate (the chicken and dumplings gave way to country fried steak and gravy). Fried Chicken, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, fried okra, corn, green beans, man n cheese -- the list goes on and on. By and large, the food was exceptional. The fried chicken was moist and the breading is flavorful, the mashed potatoes were good. Pulled pork was succulent and the BBQ sauce was great. The strawberry shortcake was delicious. Only downsides from my visit was that the corn bread was a tad dry and not sweat (that's a preference thing) and there was no gravy for the mashed potatoes. That being said the yeast rolls are great. The chicken fried steak got rotated in with some pepper gravy (a bit watery) but these were the only nitpicks I found with my visit. Overall the best southern food and best buffet near Huntsville. My waitress ('Granny') was hustling, she made sure the plates were cleared and the drinks stayed full. Everyone seemed to know her and she was able to be friendly with the locals while taking care of business. All of the employees I saw were busy, wiping down the buffet lines, bringing in heaps of food and just making it a great experience. The value was phenomenal -- $12.50 for adults and $7 for kids. I wish they served Coke products and lived next door then they'd be perfect. If you're reading about this place and you live in Hunstville, its worth the drive. If you're a local, its probably a staple and you already know. 5 stars, would recommend. Thanks!

Next door is the Sunrise Bakery and across the street is the KFC. As soon as I arrived with my date, who was blind, our waitress, Sarah, didn't miss a beat and as she seated us asked if she can bring a "plate with walls." Neither of us knew what she was talking about and I'm not sure how we answered, but she came back with a large dinner plate which had high sides on it. It was similar to a casserole dish. She said that she has a blind friend and he finds a plate like this easier to use. It was one of the kindest acts either of us had experienced in a very long time. One of the most important things to say about *any* buffet is how fresh the food is. While we were there, cooks brought out freshly-cooked salmon not only once, but twice. That says a lot. The food selection was good, though not very extensive, but it's a very small restaurant. We noticed that while the kitchen was in the rear, there was also a cook preparing some food in the dining room on a hibachi grill. That's a nice touch. While the storefront is not particularly appealing, the inside is lovely, though the wallpaper and artwork could use some updating. That's okay, though... the important thing here is the excellence of the food; it is... and so are the people of this city. As we were ready to leave, our bill was brought to us that said one of the patrons had already paid for our dinner. That was incredibly kind, and a kindness that I will certainly pay forward. If you're traveling through Lawrenceburg, stop by the Chinese Oriental Buffet. You won't be disappointed.
