A 45 minute drive from home but man... had such an awesome first-time experience. Common sense safety rules, $20 all lane admission (military) and a great atmosphere to enjoy your firearms. Pistol lane has a great diversity of steel targets to shoot at. Rifle lanes are offered in 25, 50, 100 and 200 yard distances. All of these are paper targets. 25 yards you can be happier on the trigger, anything further is paced about 2-3 seconds a shot. Shotgun lane has offset barriers so you could do some bounding drills. They got a launcher with clay targets if you wish to do so. Typical with any other range is you clean up your shotgun shells. My favorite part about this range is the pay-per-round rentals. Shooting a .50 BMG rifle ($10/round) and a .500 S&W revolver ($5/round) was so awesome. Will definitely be bringing some friends along on my next visit. Highly recommend this range. read more

My husband and I absolutely LOVED IT! The owners were so polite and friendly. Great hospitality. It was our first time there but we all talked like we already knew each other. They do have four dogs and a cat; they were all SWEETHEARTS. Pricing 10/10. They do also have some guns for rent, ammo, clays, and targets you can buy. I have say after going back once again. I really enjoyed myself. Staff is great to speak too. You have the freedom to move around plus not a lot of people. Always good to have some freedom to work on your shots. I forgot to ask do you guys sell brass left at the range? I sure would like some if possible. Will be back in a couple of weeks. read more

By far the best gun range I've ever been to. It's the closest you can get to a range without someone breathing down your neck the whole time. Friendly staff, convenient bays and just an overall blast to shoot at. Don't forget, they have a .50 cal! If it wasn't so far from where I live, I'd be here every weekend. Absolutely love love love coming to this gun range! The staff are super friendly I mean they practically treat you like family! You can shoot all day for $20. They've got a great set up. You can go out there and just completely relax as there's no rush. It would be great if they sold barbecue out there or brought in someone who could sell it out of a food truck because we'd have no reason to wanna leave! Was there today, Friday, It was a range with NO FRILLS. Its the kind of place you actually go to to shot your gun, not socialize with others. It IS a OUTDOOR OPEN RANGE so IT IS NOT what some would call PICTURE PERFECT. It is kept up well enough to use the different ranges. IT is not so full of RULES that it takes a book to list them all. It is a COMMON SENSE BE SAFE range. They do not HOVER over you or MICRO MANAGE YOU but you are expected to use COMMON SAFE SENSE. IT DOES NOT have a STARBUCKS coffee shop or deli. Take your own lunch, take your own snacks, take your own NO ALCOHOL DRINKS. I WILL be going back as often as possible. It is a much longer drive for me and my family than many other closer ranges but for us to get out in the fresh air and AWAY FROM THE CITY FOLKS and have a good time it is worth it. The prices are really reasonable and NO MEMBERSHIP is charged and they do sale ammo there to and prices are much lower then any of the ranges within a 40 mile drive to Killeen or C Cove. When we were there today ( FRIDAY) there was only 1 other shooter there. OH IF you want to fire a actual 50 cal. rifle or a 500 pistol (BIGGEST PISTOL MADE) they have them there and you can buy a round or a few and fire them. Met the owners daughter and is very nice person and easy going as long as YOU STAY SAFE. They do not and will not put up with nonsense and unsafe acts. I and my family WILL be going there as our to go to outdoor range from now own. Much better then going to Kempner or any other place within a hour drive of Killeen. It did need the grass cut and their dogs are friendly and do not bite unless told to.... lol... do not chase or shoot the chickens, ducks and other fowl roaming the grounds. read more

I visit this range at least once a week, staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. This range has everything you need to practice or have fun from a 200yd steel range to step peddle clay throwers. They also offer LTC classes and rentals. Prices are very fair and you definitely get bang for your buck here. Clean bathroom and targets are repaired regularly by owner so everything functions as it should. read more

Absolutely the best range i've had the pleasure of shooting at. Laid back and free, $20 gets you all day access to both the rifle and pistol range(s). There are 3 pistol only ranges, one for paper targets, one for steel plates (fixed) and the last one is for a swinging steel windmill that rotates and challenges you to shoot all the plates off. Have someone reload the magazines while you reattach the plates after you clear the target. I taught my sister and her boyfriend how to shoot handguns today and they loved watched the plates fall as they began to shoot more accurately. The challenge was much more interactive than wasting lead on paper and quickly allowed them to hone in and hit the targets consistently. Rifle range options are 25 meters, 50 meters and 100 meters. Awesome all the way around. Friendly dogs on property provide a warm sense of welcome and everyone is happy to answer questions or help you out but nobody is the range safety nazi breathing down your neck. Obviously as a self-policed range, you need to have a brain if you want to be courteous to your neighbors and don't flag anyone with your barrel. Absolutely worth the drive from Temple (45 minutes) and this will be our go to range from here on out. read more

This is family owned gun range that my husband and I frequent whenever we can. They have great customer service and are super helpful... They have great steel and paper targets to shoot A steel moving target that's a ton of fun to shoot at. They also have an area to zero your weapons 100 rifle range and a shotgun area. We love this range because you are free to move and shoot and pull from the hip/holster They sell paper targets as well. It is definitely worth the extra miles to drive out and just try the range out. I think like us you'll keep coming back! 20 to shoot paper and steel all day it is definitely worth it!! I've been to this range about 4 times. There's a variety of shooting distances for both rifle and pistol and steel for pistols. The folks there are super nice and they dont hang over your shoulder while your shooting. The discounted price for veterans cant be beat at $15. The only complaint I would have is that there is a lot of empty brass laying around on the ground that you cant help but walk on. read more

The range has a pistol range, a close rifle range, a long rifle range, a tactical course, and a skeet machine. Two of the people who run the range are former Army Rangers.
