Weber's - Rifle range - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Troy, Texas

Needed to sight in my rifle and take my son shooting and found this place on yelp. Called and they answered an hour before they opened. Said if he is there early he would allow folks to shoot, no since in waiting. I thought that was awesome as a business. I did call other ranges that were open and they were full already so that's how I found this place. Glad I did. We got there, checked in and got on the range. There were 16 shooting lanes and only 3 shooters. . There was no waiting for a lane to open. The pistol range had 2 people so went there too. That range had space for about 12. Sundays kids were free. I thought the $35 for all day was fair. Watch for the signs on the south side of the 35. I passed it while following the directions in Apple Maps and had to call for directions. Great place to spend a few hours. There is skeet shooting as well. I didn't do that but it did look fun. read more

Would be a lot cooler if the pistol range and tactical range traded places so you can shoot rifle in front of the bays. They have the real estate to make the rifle range longer , hopefully something they do in the future. Don't get me wrong the steel at 100 is cool, but too easy, was able to hit it with a glock 43x on the second shot with iron sights. A recommendation would be push it out to 300, put more steel and raise the price $5 to pay for it. read more

Our regular range was closed, so we made the mistake of trying this one. I'm a 16 year active duty soldier. My friend has been in for 14 years. Our kids have all been shooting since age 5 and know how to handle themselves on the range. What we don't need is some halfwit "rangemaster" hovering around us screaming and melting down every time he imagines he saw one of the kids do something unsafe. Spoiler Alert: None of the kids did anything unsafe. And after speaking with other shooters at the range, I discover this guy isn't even a firearms instructor, nor ex-military. He's a former crossfit gym manager, apparently. I guess screaming like a teenager that's in over his head might work in a crossfit gym. But it has no place on a firing range. This sort of behavior frays people's nerves and causes a distraction: Two things you very much do not want on an active firing range. I'll be sticking to my regular range from now on. read more

Wow this range has changed drastically for the worse. I have been a member here for the past couple of years. Since my last renewal they have made "improvements" that has me convinced to not come back and let the rest of my membership go unused. The removed steel targets. It was fun not having to walk down range and set new targets. However, some people ruined it by using high powered rifles. Instead of monitoring the area they removed them all. They put in a new "AR range". Wow, exciting right? Well it is only a few lanes and about a whole 10 yards of distance. Why would you want to practice shooting an AR at 10 yards you ask? I have no idea either. Stupidest thing I have seen at a gun range. There is now nowhere on this range to practice rifle shooting unsupported. The lanes are blocked with plywood so you cannot stand up and shoot, you must sit. So this is a great place to practice for real world tactical scenarios. Just make sure the bad guys are patient enough to let you sit down and set up you lead sled so you can fire back. Or you can bring a shooting table with you out into the woods to go hunting, like that is practical. Weber's used to be a fun and great place to shoot. It was always a little more pricey than other ranges but it was a nice range to practice on. It seems decisions were made here by someone who doesn't actually like to shoot themselves because it has become nonsense. As it stands today I want a refund. read more

New blood at the helm. Cory is his name and he and his range are awesome! Wide variety of shooting platforms for every shooter. Pistol, Shotgun, and Rifle challenges are a plenty. They cater to competent shooters so don't expect a hovering lifeguard over your shoulder. This is a big boy range. Great prices, great people and outdoor setting reduces the transmission of the Chinese Communist Party virus. I have been coming here for years and it is by far the favorite for me, my wife and our two daughters. read more

The staff are unfriendly, condescending, ignorant and lazy. The range shooting area grounds are thick with months of brass that has not been policed. The targets are all chewed up and they use nails that are strewn all over the ground along with the un-policed brass. One of those nails went through the bottom of my shoe and stabbed my foot! Outdoors ranges are great but these people have managed to ruin it! Steer clear of this place! read more

Their staff is mostly young guys who are very immature and unprofessional. I get that this is for fun, but as a customer I expect you to take my request and questions seriously. I also didn't appreciate having to walk up from the shooting range to the front in the middle of summer after my husband and I waited 20 minutes for a golf cart that was promised but never came. But the last straw was when my husband asked to cancel his membership because of a relocation for the Army, which was agreed upon, but still charged him for THIS month when we don't even live in TX anymore. When he called the staff (see above) said they couldn't help and he'd have to call Monday when "the guy" would be in. Well "the guy" said that there was no record of the request, or the previous call, so that there was nothing he could do. He could cancel his membership for now, not back date it, and they wouldn't issue a refund or even an apology. "There's just nothing we can do". Good to know there's "nothing you can do" for your customers or service members. read more

I just completed a CCW training class led by Johnny Price at Weber's Shooting Range in Troy. The entire experience was very positive. Johnny is clearly a subject matter expert. He is an extremely likable and personable individual ... someone you'd like to have as a friend. It's also very clear from the onset that he is all about teaching his students how to be safe and how to safely handle firearms. I came away feeling much more confident in my understanding of the CCW rules and I'm also very glad to have someone that I can now call with questions about firearms. I would HIGHLY recommend Johnny Price to anyone wishing to improve their skills with firearms. read more

Great place. It's outdoors but it's set up nice. You do have to be aware of where your shooting and other shooters since it's not closely monitored. But I did $30 all day shooting and I will get the $25 a month membership it is well worth it. THEY DO OFFER A MILITARY DISCOUNT! I will be going back they are friendly and helpful. read more

This was my first time here & it was pretty decent experience. After you get over the fact it's all outdoor & you have to plan your visits according to the outside elements. It's run by a bunch of young men, just an observation, nothing negative meant by that. Once you pay your entrance fee (not sure how it works if you have a membership but we didn't & it was $33 for two of us), they give you each a target & you ride a golf cart to the shooting area. As you ride back to where you can shoot your pistol or shot guns, you'll pass a paintball area that's enclosed & then there's a paintball area that's in the woods; seemed pretty neat if you're into that sort of thing. The pistol range is set up at 3yards, 7yards, 15 & 25yard shooting ranges; I didn't go to the shot gun area but it seemed more than 25, maybe 50 or 75ish. The lanes aren't clearly marked or anything, you just have to be fully aware of your surroundings & the other shooters. That was my only concern but there only 2 other shooters when I was there, so it didn't scare me too bad, lol.... Overall nice place & worth checking out. Especially the membership deals vs pay as you go prices. read more

Just went out for the first time after moving to TX. Having previously shot primarily at an indoor range, there were some things to get used to, like having to wait for the range master to call a cease fire so you can put your target out and having to walk back and forth to reload. The guys were very friendly, and it was $15 for an hour ($30 for the day). They have a $25/month membership ($200 for the year), which is clearly worth it if you plan on spending more than once a month. Overall, it was far better than nothing, but different than what I'm used to. read more

My wife and I went there today and shot our pistols. We were treated like royalty, the place is very nice, the employees were very helpful and a pleasure to be around. We were given rides to and from the range in a gator to avoid the heat. 5 stars. read more

This place is exactly what you'd expect from a personable shooting range in Texas. There is a lot of variety in the types of shooting one can do, from skeet shooting and targets to paintball, this place has it all. The staff is friendly and helpful and the guy I dealt with went out of his way to make sure my first experience was a good one. I only wish they had an indoor range for cold days like the one on which I went. I will definitely be back and I'm bringing friends. read more

Went there with my Brother In-Law while visiting. Great Facility with a friendly staff. It was mellow on the rifle range due to us going on a weekday in the morning. Facilities are clean and well kept. Each rifle lane had a sled for bench shooting, and rubber like mat on table. All and all great place to shoot. I wish my home range offered these amenities. read more

I texted them on Facebook and asked if I could stop by with my 12 year old son, just wanted to check and see if they had any events going on. They responded in minutes and said "come on". There was a college aged guy manning the register and he could not have been nicer or more helpful. We caught a golf cart out about 100 yards to start shooting clays. This play is nice and very well maintained. i wish we lived closer so we could join. Met some Army guys that helped us clear a Jam so could not have asked for a nicer time. read more
