Overall 5 Stars Service 5 stars treatment area/crowds 5 stars not sure how to rate a PT place. So I'll be brief, but hopefully as detailed as possible. Staffed by a PT, Dan, and 3 others (not sure what they are, PTAs??), Brian and Abraham and Mark. Dan is excellent, patient and takes time to explain the issues. Brian and Abraham are the guys who help with the excercises and laser/stem treatment as necessary. they're fantastic also. Friendly, and easy to work with. Mark is a therapist of some sort (massage maybe?). he does muscle treatments after the exercises also. His massages are deep without pain. so also excellent. I usually went Tuesdays/Thursdays (their late days) and it wasn't crowded. Didn't have a factory pt feel that other clinics do. Overall hopefully you don't need to have a pt treat you, but if you do, go here. read more

I am someone who experienced something no one should ever experience, especially at the age of 17. I had (have) trigeminal neuralgia, aka the suicide disease. I only feel the privilege to be able to say "had" because of this office. Heat laser therapy has been the only thing that has ever even caused a pause in the excruciating pain this condition causes, let alone almost completely eradicated it. Living with this while in school, while living my teenage years, has almost broken me. Even chewing or talking would cause hospital level pain, and as this is a permanent condition with pain levels typically increasing as time goes on, it made me lose hope. I recommend this place to everyone ever even considering it. The staff is so generous and actually caring. Laurie, the lady who works at the front desk has put me as a priority when it comes to booking, asking me constantly about how everything is, and she is one of the most genuine, nice people I've ever met. Dr Oest, the doctor who does my laser therapy primarily, is so caring and adaptive to my situation. Everyone is so easy to talk to and friendly I always feel accepted walking in. If you're suffering with a chronic condition like I do, please take the time to check them out and talk to them about your options. Heat laser therapy helps with almost any injury and will make you heal quicker than you could on your own, with no downsides. I went to this place after seeing multiple PTs over year for an alleged back problem (that was misdiagnosed for years by my doctor) after one visit Dan suggested that my hips were the issue and that I should request an xray. He was right on and now after surgery and PT i am healthy again. Dan is great and I highly recommend him. Brian is also great and very knowledgeable. I am thus very pleased with the treatment I am receiving. I am having laser done on my feet and calf muscles and Achilles tendons. Amazing! Then I sprained my wrist and we did the wrist and hand. (Laser is truly amazing!) Dan did the original interview and a PT in training doing the treatments after he sets up the machine and explains to her what he wants. I am also having the back and neck decompression machine tomorrow for chronic conditions and nerve pain. I find Dan to be very knowledgeable. He diagnosed some pain issues within minutes of my explanation that had NOT been diagnosed by several PT's and 4 different chiropractors over the past years - the feet, the nerve pain & where it originated from, and the shooting groin pain. I'm very impressed. I don't care if he doesn't work on me as long as he diagnoses me correctly and solves the problem. So far so good!!! read more

After just three sessions I started to feel relief from the year and a half of chronic pain in my neck and back. I was rear ended while at a stop light and tried two different physical therapy places, plus chiropractic, and even 2 epidural injections before hearing about laser therapy. After 5 weeks of trying to get into a Wantagh/Massapequa place with much frustration, Hicksville Physical Therapy got me in the next day and even offered to get me in that night because of my pain. Dan the PT spent 15 mins the first day, then you suddenly became invisible to the guy! A MONTH at this place and this guy never once asked how the treatment was going, no hellos, no eye contacts, walks right past - you simply didn't exist except as a billable resource! The workers, however, were wonderful! After a month of run-of-the-mill therapy sessions (everyone around me seemed to go through the exact same routine I was lol) with ZERO improvement and $$$$ spent (yes, they collect deductible upfront) I stopped. Googled my symptoms, bought a $250 back massager from Kohls and within 3 days 80% of the pain was gone and I could finally sleep at night!! What a money pit this place turned out to be. read more

Dan Oest and TEAM (Brian, North, Mark and GiGi are always very attentive from the time you walk in until the time you walk out. They ALWAYS make you feel welcome, and Vera at the front office made every effort to work within my time needs. The TEAM helps each other but most of all they watch all the patients closely to ensure that we do the exercises correctly and safely. They are always thinking of different exercises that can be done in the event that the patient is having pain or difficulty with certain exercises. Came here to receive treatment for my right knee which is hyperextended and weaker than the left. John, Brian, and the team at Hicksville Physical Therapy are beyond accommodating, educated, helpful, and sincerely nice. The premises are clean and the equipment up-to-date. The staff is very personable and make you feel comfortable. They were recommended to me by my grandma, and since then my father, mother, cousin, and aunt have received training here. I'm a left arm amputee with multiple injuries that have required physical therapy over the years. That being said; I'm very impressed at the level of compassion, friendliness of staff, cleanliness of facility and professionalism, I highly recommend Hicksville Physical Therapy (HPT) if you are in need of this type of rehabilitation. I personally would not consider going elsewhere. Parking is adequate and they have an elevator to the lower level where the facility is housed. I have never received the level of care provided by HPT in any other rehabilitation facility. read more

These people really know what they are doing wouldn't trust PT to anyone else. After my husband threw his back out badly, they gave great advice, fantastic treatment, and follow-up advice. Glad to have them as an option. They are the best! read more

Head therapist Dan truly is a nice guy. Brian is also very nice and very helpful. The problem is they are too nice. The rest of the staff are not helpful at all and Dan and Brian do nothing about it. They are all constantly on their cell phones and yacking to each other and do not pay any attention at all to you. You never get one person helping you for an entire session, it's basically whoever is free at the moment. My experience usually included being set up on a piece of exercise equipment, having the person helping me get distracted, and basically sitting there waiting for him to come back, which he never does. When you are finished with something or if your machine beeps, no one comes over to you, and you basically have to flag someone down. This all makes your visit there last a lot longer than necessary. I am also constantly asked what my injury was, was it the left one or right one, and what I did last time. You would think each employee would have my chart in front of them and know all of this. Again, Dan is great, it's just his staff which takes advantage with their laziness. If Dan reads this, I would recommend banning employee's cell phone use while working and also make sure employees review a patient's chart and stick with the patient for the entire session. read more

Dan is the best physical therapist I have been to bar none (and I have been to quite a few). His treatment methods are customized and consistently work. Alongside the office manager Brian, they have great bedside manner which makes each visit worthwhile. Would recommend to anyone who needs help with pain or an injury! read more
