They have great items - they are just way too expensive for a vintage piece. That said if I was looking for something specific and they had it I would pay the price. Their customer service is good. I liked that they didn't hover rather waited to ask if we needed help. That said, two of the three were on their phone behind the counter not paying attention to anything. That's part of the problem too - all new staff due to firing the old staff during C*vid times...ones who had been there for years & were so sweet. The new manager is a guy who frequently complains openly about people shopping in the store, has literally complained about having to check my cart of stuff because I "got too much" and it'd take a while to scan it all in (I had maybe 6 books, a couple of shoes and some small nicknacks - it wasn't a lot). He's also changed sale hours - day of - closing early because he felt like it. He does not make people feel welcome to shop there - it's like we're bothering him to be in the store. Also, the pricing has gotten really bad - it's frequently at or above retail now, which is so sad since this stuff is always clearly used and *given/donated* to the store, but they grossly overprice it. Case in point: A used coffee grinder for $24.99 when it's new for $18.95 on Amazon or $19.98 at Walmart. The clothes have been really stained, hole-filled, torn and ripped lately. I really hate how bad the store is these days... I went in recently and they were selling a side table that was missing two legs, but still had it priced at $39.99. It just makes me so sad since this used to be my favorite thrift store in the area, and it's awful now.

Normally the ladies and younger workers are smiling and always speak and tell you about the size of the place and how awesome it is. I walked in today and noticed several workers chatting behind the desk. I grabbed a shopping cart as I normally do because there is a boat load of good stuff and I always leave having spent a ton on great items. There's literally 3 floors and massive sq footage of everything under the sun. I spend hours here because I'm a true thrifty and I check out every station/booth, around 200 spaces I think. I'm very observant and always aware of my surroundings. I noticed the 1st man come from behind the desk as soon as I walked to the first booth. I've seen him there before. He wears a crossbody purse and glasses. I continue my normal walk and scan. I see him out the corner of my eye look me up and down. He walked into a few of the same booths as I and walked off. I rounded the corner and there he was pretending to filter through some sports cards. I kept browsing and scanning and noticed his stares. I walked up to the second floor to confirm if I was being paranoid and sure thing, he followed. I made eye contact a few times thinking ok,I'll give him benefit of doubt, other people were shopping and I kept minding my business. A 2nd guy starts to follow me, I've seen him before as well, he has a hunch back of ND walk, he looks like a teenager, obvious and sloppy. I purposely went into a few women clothing and jewelry and furniture booths and he followed, making eye contact and pretending to shop, all the while looking at me every few seconds. I walked in his direction and at this point I've decided I'm leaving. I pull out my phone to record for my safety and call my bestie to let her know what's going on. As I'm recording he stops in a booth next to me pulls out his phone to text or pretend and I say very loudly how uncomfortable I'm feeling with these mall cops following and profiling me. He heard me, then he picks up a random candle holder he had already passed and walks away. Most of the vendors have personal video cameras in their individual spaces to deter shoplifters. There are also cameras everywhere. Why are they following ME. It was OBVIOUS and because of how they made me feel in that moment, the only poc, being follwed, I left and will never go back. If you are a vendor here, they are making you loose business. I Do Not recommend black and brown people patronize this place. They do not want you here.

The items must meet their standards as well as their need. They put out everything that they take and return the items back to you that they decline to accept. Their computer system makes it easy to receive your consignment monies. You just give them your name or consignor number and they pay you immediately in cash. They are very fair.

The clothing closet assists any resident of Cabarrus County with clothing and other necessary items for living FREE OF CHARGE. The clothing closet is open every Thursday for the public to "shop" for the items they need. Due to COVID they are temporarily by appointment only. The signup sheet is available on their Facebook(www.facebook.com/Second-blessing-clothing-closet-645031872565307) page or by calling their number. You are allowed to take items once every three months. Volunteers can help you shop in you need assistance. You will be given a laundry basket to carry your items in and volunteers will bag then upon exiting just like a store. The clothes neatly hung on racks and organized by size. Workers only hang items that are like new or gently worn. The clothing is not worn out, tattered, or badly dated. They have children's clothing, women's, men's, and infant clothing, They have an infant room that is dedicated clothing and supplies for children two and under. They have a shoe room that is well stocked. They have a shelf with a limited amount of food, toothpaste, hygiene items, cosmetics, deodorant, etc. Coats, warm blankets, gloves, and scarves are a priority item for the clothing closet. They also have household items available. They provided helped over 350 families last year. If you have a crisis and can't meet on Thursday you can arrange a meeting outside the signup times. If you would like to donate items you can call their number to arrange a drop-off. The donated items reach those who need it most and are never sold.

The only difference appeared to be the day they were priced, which makes the pricing seem inconsistent. Prices continue to rise, and the only real bargains are items that have sat on the shelf long enough to be marked 50% off. Add in the cluttered, messy store, the shopping experience has become disappointing. I'm seriously considering shopping elsewhere.

Prices were extremely high across the board, and a lot of booths had items that looked like they were straight from Amazon, Shein, or Temu but marked up significantly. That alone was frustrating, especially for a place marketed as an antique destination. The staff we encountered were also not friendly, which didn't help the experience. On top of that, there was a live band playing somewhere on the property, and the sound carried throughout the entire building. It was loud enough that everyone in our group ended up with a headache, which made it really hard to enjoy browsing. We ended up leaving early, which says a lot considering I had planned to spend the whole day there. Overall, not what I expected, and I wouldn't return.
