As a golfer who tees off from the forward tees, it was quite a long course. With the extra water on the course and getting no roll, it was even longer. Despite the challenges, the holes were beautiful and fun to play. Every staff person we met made us feel welcome and were helpful as we were first time players. Carts had screens to indicate yardage. They also had messaging such that if you left a club on a hole, you could text a ranger and they would retrieve it for you. Really great experience.

Both our meals were served steaming hot. Staff was wonderful. There was even a local gentleman that told us about the formation of the lake from a mine. I have been vacationing on Lake Vermilion for 25 years. I have had a house on the lake for 13 years. I will never go to this place again. They have automatically by virtue of this policy removed at least 50% of of the population up here. I can't believe there is no effort to accomodate dog owners in some way shape or form. Good ! I did't need to spend my money there anyway ! While I do everything in my power to support lakeside restaurants up here, there are some that should just go away. This is one !!!!!!
