I told him to not touch my kids' silverware and such and it was extremely odd and uncomfortable. He said again they were "his" and then asked me, "do you want to do the dishes?" He said we could sit where we were at but that we weren't supposed to be sitting where we were at... Also, my 7 year had dropped a fork and knife, Jon put it back on a place setting - she had put it on the side on the table so as not to use it- it looks like someone will have eaten from a fork and knife that had fell on the floor. I took a picture of the area. I talked to the front desk and they explained that the set tables weren't for breakfast. She also acknowledged there was nothing that says that anywhere and then tried to make it seem as if I should have know. Please see the picture. I don't write reviews hardly ever, this situation was extremely weird. If they don't want people to sit in that area, they could close that area off - no idea what they were thinking. The front desk was not helpful. Please look at the picture for context. The gentleman in the white sweatshirt is where we had sat down. There was absolutely nothing which said not to sit where we sat. I don't think someone should tell a guest, "do you want to do the dishes?" And extremely bad to put silverware on a place setting that a child handled it and had dropped on the floor.

There's a brewery with great food on the trail and picnic spots on a lake at the park. The zoo across from the Inn is full of bike, walking, and hiking trails. Marilyn makes home-made breakfasts that are far beyond what you'd get anywhere else for $15 a plate easy. The beds and bedding are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. We had a great experience and we'll be back!

There were several pillows on each bed, and they were also firm. The bathroom was large, and clean. Plumbing worked well and the water pressure was very good. It's over 1200 sq feet and window views of the eau Claire river in both bedrooms and living room. King bedroom has 2 sides of window view of river. Queen bedroom has 1 side window view of downtown. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was nice with daily $30 credit with diamond level. Kids loved large screen TVs in all 3 rooms. Free parking for diamond members. Day 1: Visited Oakwood mall to play bowling at Scheels with son then saw oakwood toy train exhibit. Afterwards my son played claw machine at claw Kraze. Day 2: Visited 4treasures indoor playground with kids and loved the ball pit, ninja course, and arcade room. The Lismore had maker fair at their convention halls next door. A great weekend spent away in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. We stayed at the Lismore with the use of our…read moreHilton rewards points and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at how walkable this hotel was to so many places in Eau Claire. It really is located in the heart of Eau Claire with several restaurants, art galleries, a library, and the local Riverwalk. The hotel itself is also attached to a cozy bar called The Dive, a coffee shop called ECDC as well as a beautiful restaurant called the Informalist. If you did not want to venture around Eau Claire, you technically wouldn't have to, Everything is located right at the hotel. We stayed in a one king bedroom and overall it was a clean, comfortable hotel room. My only " complaint" would be that our particular hotel room did not have a view, and our windows looked at a another wall. So we really did not get a whole lot of sunlight but we also weren't in complete darkness the whole time either we just didn't have a view of anything (it was strange). Parking is in the nearby ramp and they validate you for seven dollars a night. *Tip* do not pay for your parking at the ramp. Make sure you go to the desk because your parking is included in your stay if you pay at the ramp, you will end up paying twice. (We almost made that mistake.)
