When one of my besties told me that she and her hubby were moving to West Palm Beach to escape the winters of PA, I was so surprised. My grandparents moved to WPB in the 1920s. I have so many great memories of WPB because we lived with them for a while. I even started kindergarten in WPB. So visiting my friend is like visiting home. Good friends are the family that you choose. Filled with love and special memories. So nice to be able to celebrate life with my bestie at a Royal Holiday Tea on a sunny Monday in West Palm Beach. Just off Dixie Highway, Serenity Garden Tea House & Cafe is so charming. The historic 1919 cottage reminds me of my grandparents' Florida home, a small cottage on Dixie Highway with a garden filled with fruit trees. The cute dining rooms are filled with vintage furniture and china donated by patrons. They even have an iconic British red telephone booth. So warm and cozy. Lots of parking available. The Royal Holiday Tea was perfect. A pot of Earl Gray. Champagne or sparkling cider. A sweet potato and pear bisque to start. Next the tower of tea treats. Scones with clotted cream, lemon curd and homemade strawberry jam. Brings me back to my Liverpool roots. Tea sandwiches. Cucumber, egg salad, tuna and turkey. Topped with a selection of sweet treats-chocolate brownies, cream puffs and chocolate dipped strawberries. A perfect afternoon with a bestie. Sharing memories while celebrating life. L'chaim. Cheers to a beautiful new year. Celebrating 2026. #1

They followed the two of around the store the entire time--but only us two not the middle aged or boomers in the store. Apparently being a young adult is suspicious? Nevermind that we were dressed well and classy. It felt like ageism, if not r@cism (since we are minority?) But all three employees (younger than us) were on us as if they expected the worse, and they lacked all tact in their supervision and stares.

In the morning you can enjoy artisanal coffee, both cold brew and Seattle-style pour over and freshly-baked pastries. For lunch they offer quick, light bites, which include salads, sandwiches and snacks. They even sell cigars and bottles of wine. On the other side is a carefully curated collection of gifts and unique decorative accessories from around the world. Everything is so artfully arranged by type and color scheme. They sell holiday decorations, books, collectibles, dishes, cups, glassware, topiaries, beautifully embroidered dish towels, an assortment of napkin rings, greeting card, note cards, decorative items, glass paper weights, candles, beauty items, and more. I really loved the Palm Beach coloring book. Of course this being The Breakers, items are pricey. A single greeting card was $6. I enjoyed exploring all of the shop items after which I indulged in a croissant and coffee from the food side. You can take your food and drinks out to the Palm Court where there is beautiful landscaping, fountains, and tables and seats. You don't have to be a guest of the resort to come here. The Breakers tries to limit non resort guests during season but if you allow them to scan your license and tell the guards you are coming to eat or shop they will let you in. Guest parking is on your immediate left just after you pass the guards.

truly an exceptional pink paradise! every inch of the colony is instagrammable…read more during our short stay we really enjoyed this charming hotel located in the heart of palm beach with plenty of amenities to enjoy. we got to enjoy borrowing the beach cruisers riding up and down the palm beach shoreline to mar a lago and down to the breakers. even enjoyed the house car that took us back and forth from the plaza. they have a cute set up on the public beach with umbrellas and beach chairs and can take you to the beach from the hotel with their beach runner / buggy. hats off to the hard working bell and valet staff that took such amazing care of us. the concierge is managed by text by johnnie brown the monkey :) and he's always prompt to respond and help! on-site entertainment is offered with live guitarist in the evenings and i heard there are even bingo nights! plenty of locals visit for swifty's restaurant and seasonal offerings. truly a place that connects the palm beach community. from the laduree turn down chocolates, to the matouk linens and evian water bottles, every little detail of the colony is exceptional. albeit a historic property that shows its age but it's impeccably maintained and has the charm that parallels my sorority house which i absolutely loved.

I made a reservation here on a Friday night for 7:45 PM with my friend and we sat inside. There's such a lovely ambience when you enter the restaurant because the decor is beautiful. We started off with a couple of cocktails and we ordered the avocado beet salad, which was 10 out of 10. We split the truffle pasta and ordered the Wagyu cooked medium. The service was absolutely fantastic. Carmita was our server and she was so kind and accommodating. The food tasted so fresh and the truffle was something to be remembered. The tiramisu was chosen for dessert. It was strong and absolutely delicious! I would love to come back for brunch one day!

The first thing that struck me about this place was how exorbitantly expensive everything was --from the appetizers to the salads and entrees. I mean, the salads were $35 for a small salad. I had the beet and avocado salad at $35 and while it was very good the portion did not justify the $35 price tag. Even in the most upscale restaurants worldwide I have never seen a small salad at this price point. My niece had the Caesar salad and she said she enjoyed it. Same small salad for $35. We both had the salmon and it was very good. It comes over lentil salad, and my niece who is allergic to lentils asked if she could have something else instead and the waiter said no. No substitutions. So she just got a piece of salmon. Took a star off for this. They could have given her French fries for this very expensive entree. The bread they bring out is a couple of slices of cold bread with whipped butter. Again for the prices they charge here they should be bringing out a bread basket of warm bread. Our server was OK but not outstanding. The lady who fills the water barely did and when she did one time it was grudgingly. So this is a mixed review because the food was good and enjoyable. But dinner for two with one cocktail and no dessert came to almost $300 before the tip. That is pretty outrageous. Not sure if I will return because there's a big choice of restaurants in Palm Beach County that I would take guests to where at least for $300 you might feed four people. Took a star off for this seriously greedy restaurant. This restaurant would have gotten five stars if the entrées and salads and appetizer were half the price that they are now. And if they had given my niece some side because she told him she was allergic to lentils. This is a restaurant that will not really try that hard because they're already on the hotspots to try in Palm Beach. It's a shame really. There are some very excellent restaurants in Palm Beach that don't try to gouge their customers.
