On the other side is a carefully curated collection of gifts and unique decorative accessories from around the world. Everything is so artfully arranged by type and color scheme. They sell holiday decorations, books, collectibles, dishes, cups, glassware, topiaries, beautifully embroidered dish towels, an assortment of napkin rings, greeting card, note cards, decorative items, glass paper weights, candles, beauty items, and more. I really loved the Palm Beach coloring book. Of course this being The Breakers, items are pricey. A single greeting card was $6. I enjoyed exploring all of the shop items after which I indulged in a croissant and coffee from the food side. You can take your food and drinks out to the Palm Court where there is beautiful landscaping, fountains, and tables and seats. You don't have to be a guest of the resort to come here. The Breakers tries to limit non resort guests during season but if you allow them to scan your license and tell the guards you are coming to eat or shop they will let you in. Guest parking is on your immediate left just after you pass the guards.

Had a Floridian Coffee Roasters espresso for $5.00 which was at the high end of the price spectrum for a single shot but the roasty aroma and the medium bold taste superceded the cost. The coffee was presented in a white ToGo cup bearing a logo in cursive "The Hedges Inn" at East Hampton, which is the Pink Paradise Café sister company. The barista/manager Courtney took us on an unexpected guided tour of the hotel. This was customer service at it's best. Did not even have to think twice about giving this café a strong five stars.

I called several times asking for an upgrade if there were a cancellations. However, when we arrived and room choices were still a bit limited, the Colony made a wonderful and significant upgrade for us and we could not be more appreciative. To say above and beyond would be understating. So...what about everything else? From the time you're greeted by the bellmen, to the check-in process, the employees could not be more friendly and accomodating. The bartenders are long time employees, and very nice folks. The servers too are great. Management has done a fantastic job creating a welcoming atmosphere where one feels right at home. The restaurant, Swifty's, is excellent. Breakfast poolside is always nice. Early riser? Coffee and a choice of newspapers are alway waiting for you. Take it outside by the pool and have a quiet morning before starting the day. They have a code to use the restroom on the receipt, which seems unnecessary. If you don't want caffeine or anything with Tea, the options are pretty limited. Everything else is basically mango flavored or red bean flavored. And if you ask for a replacement for the tea, it will just be water. They also charge extra if you want to replace the milk powder in any of the Milk teas with lactaid, oat milk, or soy milk. When they are already charging $8+ for a medium sized drink, it seems kind of crazy to charge extra for even regular milk instead of dehydrated milk. It feels like there are way better boba places that charge a more reasonable price and are more flexible with their options.
