Tight spot at the High Chapparel RV Resort
    SueJean C.

We stayed here for 8 days at the end of Feb for $200. This price was suggested as their best option price wise combining their weekly rate with a nod to a discounted daily rate. The park with its amenities is well worth that price. I took away one star because we'd reserved a pull-thru spot that was reneged on for no explainable reason and the back-in spot we got was marred with deep ruts that forced us off to one side. After squeezing into our spot and getting set up, a rig down the row burst into flames drawing everyone to the street to watch in horror. This was my first "RV Roast" and hopefully, my last. There's nothing to be done while you wait and pray for the arrival of the fire department. It's not like anyone can hitch up and run away without furthering the mess. No one died, but one rig was totaled and both rigs on each side were damaged. Makes one think long and hard about the wisdom of these "shoehorn" spaces in big RV parks. My favorite part was the hot tub. It seemed as if everyone else was snuggled into bed by 8 and I had the tub to myself almost every evening. Such bliss!!

A couple Denise and Will. I needed a mail box on lot 77. They told me that all the stores were sold out. I drove to Home Depot and Lowes. There were several dozen. So I moved to lot 61. It was easier to move than to wait them to install a mailbox. (Probably because they are not competent enough to install a simple mailbox) The drain line was high-- Making it difficult to flush black water. Something the owner Jim S stayed he fixed.... well, sorry to break your heart-- he lied. They have different rules for different people. Some RVers are allowed to have pop up tents. Some are not allowed to have pop up tents. In fact, one RV has 3 tents/gazebos. Will acts like the big bully in school. My first encounter with him, he leaned over me to try to assert dominance. Hahaha. In all my dealing with this NON gentleman, he never once introduced himself. He is beyond disrespectful. You could pay me to come back to this place. The worst part is it was wonderful. Now there is just dead animals that sit and rot, because management is too busy sitting on their brains to do their job.

They are renovating from the Cottonwood RV resort so was under some construction during our stay. I…read moreassume things will be a lot nicer once things are up and running. New Manager training so didn't know a few things but was very kind and sweet. PROS: Basically the only ones here in mid November/mostly quiet. Full hook ups. Pool & friendly manager. CONS: Pool area had wasp nest, pool chairs had spiderwebs/spiders all over them. No where to take your dog. But again, I assume things will be upgraded shortly. Sounded like we were next to a hospital or fire station. Lots of ambulances. OTHER: You will be mixed in with Mobile-homes & some permanent residents. They were able to accommodate us well due to the off season but manager mentioned things get full around the winter time.
