One month before my wedding, I had a hair and makeup trial at another salon in Breck. It was a nightmare:(. My poor mother weighed our options as I was having a major meltdown. She decided to reach out to Weemala after receiving recommendations from a local wedding planner and a planner associated with Vail Resorts. The owner Jessica was kind and reassuring and confident they could help us out of this crisis. They miraculously were available to do our hair and makeup for my Friday wedding and also fit us in for a trial the day before the wedding. After having such a bad prior experience, I was very nervous. But, Jess reassured us that she only uses people with 10+ years experience on wedding clientele's hair and she herself will be doing our makeup. After Ashley met me at the door of the salon upon our arriving late and hurried (as we had a lot on the agenda for the day before the wedding), I knew I was going to be in good hands. She was cool and confident and made my hair look even better than the picture I had shown her (the same exact one I had shown the previous salon). I felt a HUGE weight off my back disappear. I literally almost cried just from relief and gratitude. Ashley then did the groom's hair trial (he has longer curly hair that can sometimes be difficult to manage). I had a small concern that I couldn't quite put my finger on. She figured out what was bothering before I even could, and then she immediately fixed it. On the actual wedding day, it looked even better than it had the day before. She did my three bridesmaids' hair and our moms' hair - all of which looked amazing. I seriously cannot thank Ashley enough!!! :) Jess is a truly gifted makeup artist. She knows what foundations will look better when photographed, she listened to everything I said, and she trusted her judgment enough to know what will look great on me. And, it did! On the actual wedding day, she did individual fake eye lashes that looked so beautiful and real, I forgot I had them on the next day. My bridesmaids and our moms' makeup looked equally beautiful. It was perfect! It was beautiful and special but, we still looked like ourselves - only enhanced versions of ourselves! Jess was so calm and eager to help us, I will be forever grateful to her and Ashley both. A bonus is that both Jess and Ashley came to our hotel the morning of the wedding. I didn't think it would have be problematic for us to go to a salon, but it actually was way more relaxing and much less stressful having them come to us. It made things run so much smoother. Thank you Weemala for saving us, and thank you for helping to make our wedding wonderful! We both felt awesome, and you were a hugely significant part of that! For the day of the wedding, she and her colleague did a big wedding party of 8 bridesmaids, mother of bride and groom, and a flower girl. Everyone was so happy with their work! We got married in Evergreen and were able to get ready in her salon. It was right next to a coffee shop so we could get caffeinated while getting ready for the day! Totally flaky from the start and only asked a set of specific questions to hold the date, which I answered. She beautifully blended my remaining layers and gave me exactly what I wanted, without taking off too much length. 10/10 experience. As a Breckenridge local, I appreciate finding an amazing stylist who cuts my hair perfectly without overcharging me.
