My husband and I love this place. We enjoy the food, the activities and the atmosphere. If I had one suggestion, it would be to have an outdoor cashier for things like pumpkins and produce. The store is crazy crowded and the lines get long. If they could streamline that a little better, I would gladly give it five stars. We got hung up in line behind a group purchasing clothing that was missing a tag. All we wanted was our mini pumpkins, pears and apples that were already bagged and priced. Ugh! read more

Recently went here with my family. The cherry picking was great and the kids loved it. My issue is with, who I believe, was the owner. My teenage daughter and I were looking at the jewelry when the owner in her red jumpsuit kept hovering really close. At the time, I thought she was standing really close to us but decided to shrug it off and kept looking at the jewelry. My daughter had found a ring that she liked so she proceeded to go the register to a really nice, cheerful young lady and bought the ring with her own money. Since the rest of our family was still inside looking around my daughter and I decided to wait right outside the door where they kept the picked fruit in the refrigerated area. After a couple minutes, the owner came up to us and said "are you going to get that ring?" I told her my daughter had bought it and without saying another word she went inside to confirm with the cashier. She didn't flat out accuse my daughter of shoplifting but to me the message was clear enough. I'm just curious if all customers are treated this way. And for the amount of hovering she did while we were in the store she completely missed my daughter paying for the ring, which I thought was odd. This encounter was really unfortunate since I had initially had a great time picking cherries with my family. Fortunately for us there are plenty of other cherry picking farms to go to in the future. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. This was the worst experience I have ever had on Greenbluff, we will NEVER come here again. Overpriced everything, rude employees, disgusting food, and a delusional owner. We went up for the holiday tractor ride and it was a horrible experience. The staff got us checked in, but we had to wait about 35 minutes before getting on a ride. Once we were on, the tractor driver was blaring some rap music instead of Christmas music and drove really fast to the point we were bouncing off of the hay, and it was a very bumpy ride in the first place. We got off at the first stop, and we had to wait 45 minutes before a tractor picked us back up to head to the next stop. We made the same mistake of getting off the tractor again to pick a Christmas tree, we got our tree pretty quickly and went back to wait for the tractor. We waited over an hour and had to call them three times to see if they were going to pick us up, they still didn't. A couple people in our party had to WALK BACK to get the cars to come pick us up because they still weren't coming and we were freezing. We got back and went to go have food, that was another mistake. SUPER overpriced and disgusting food, two people in our party found bugs in their food. When we brought it up to the staff, they were really rude about it and said they couldn't do anything. By this point we asked for the owner, we told her our concerns and she outright told us we were wrong. She told us there was nothing wrong with her food, or her tractors, or her employees, and it was our fault for all of it and us who didn't have a good time. We asked if she was going to do anything about it, and she said no, because nothing was wrong. I'm not kidding, I wish I was. We were so appalled that we left. A great stop for lunch on Greenbluff! Great stop with little s because of the playground right in the cherry trees next to the seating area. Kids can run off energy while you enjoy your meal. They also have a great selection of local favorites, I can usually find my favorite tea here in the shop. read more

I am only rating the cafe and gift shop. They have 2 large st. Bernard dogs roaming around. I found it unappealing since I was eating and they were begging. I also found them far too large to be in such a confined space. The employees sent a couple of customers away for bringing in dogs: seems unnecessary. read more

This is our favorite place to eat when we have a day up at Greenbluff! We always get sandwiches which are very good and huckleberry lemonade and if you go during peach season (which you definitely should!) - the peach pie is to DIE for! We love their St. Bernard's and during the summer they have live music outside on weekends so it's really just a great all around experience. read more

Mothers day brunch left a LOT to be desired. WE had reservations at 11:30 and arrived promptly. The eggs were completely gone by the time we got to the buffet and the eggs were not replenished for more than an hour. None of our party got any. There were no meats and no potatoes during the time that we were there. I talked to the manager and she said that they had to keep costs down because they were only charging $25 per plate. Totally disappointed and left hungry. We ate salads, fruit salads, and breads. We will not be returning there for mothers day next year and I won't be recommending their mothers day brunch to my friends or family. I feel ripped off. read more

Under the new ownership, I had a less than stellar experience last year. Today is Mother's Day so I decided to give them one more try. I'm sorry I did. We were supposed to get a free piece of pie, but I was told that the kind I wanted was $2 dollars. The young man serving us had a tank on in his armpit hair was hanging out two inches, and then they wanted to charge me extra for a piece of ice cream. I thought to myself okay since the pie is good I'll go for it. And then he told me that I had to order at least $5 worth to use my debit card. I canceled my order I will not be back. read more

My sister and I stopped by so she could reminisce with Don and we could have fresh fruit for the rest of our Eastern Wa vacation. What a fantastic operation! Deli, u-pick, gift store, friendly atmosphere... Don is the real thing and so are his kids who work there side by side. I've never picked apricots or cherries before. I'm loving every bite and appreciating all the more the many workers who do this day in and day out. We'll definitely be back next summer for more fruit and huckleberry pie! read more

While visiting Spokane, our organization had a dinner here on 4/7/15, and High Country Orchard was not only a beautiful location for both family and business, but their service and food was exceptional. Unfortunately that evening, a watch that had great sentimental value to me was lost on their premises. The next day they not only contacted me to tell me they found it, but they personally delivered it to my hotel in Spokane. A great family run farm. Two beautiful, friendly St Bernard's will greet you along with a bunny and a chinchilla. Front is full of fresh picked local fruit. Inside is a gorgeous gift shop that has all kinds of quality linens and unique home decor items. There is a small restaurant that makes delicious grilled sandwiches and homemade pie. Out back are miniature donkeys and goats and chickens. One of the friendliest businesses Ive been to where customers come first and they really care about each person who comes in their doors. Always makes for a great way to spend an afternoon with a girlfriend! read more

Do not waste your money on the Sleigh ride experience they offer. It was a total disappointment. They literally only take you to the next farm over through a small field to pick out your tree. Their website makes it out to be something very different. Once you are done they don't even take you back through the field they take you on the main road for what felt like 2 seconds back to High Country Orchard where you started. You are crammed on to a trailer (we didn't have snow and we were fine with the trailer) with other people. No problem except there wasn't enough room for my family so I had to sit on my husbands lap. I questioned them about there not being enough room and the man said "they all fit yesterday" He should have asked people to scoot over and make room. Especially the lady that had her huge diaper bag sitting on the seat taking up space. They don't communicate with you at all about where they are taking you or how long you have to pick out a tree. The package/experience included lunch. They literally pulled up to a barn looking building and said "I think your lunch is in there" We apprehensively walked in and there was one girl behind a set up table who didn't even greet us. We asked if this is where we go to eat our lunch and she said yes and asked to see our tickets. I showed her and she told me we only paid for 3 (there were 4 of us) I said, "no see its on the page right here" and I smiled and said, "Gosh did I make a mistake?" (because I thought maybe I had read the paper wrong) She didn't say a word she just grabbed a bread bowl, litterally dripped a bit of potato soup on the bowl and handed it to us. We were so kind to her and didn't understand why she was so crabby. We realized as we watched her that she was new and treated every one that way. The soup was cold not even a little bit warm. Totally cold. It was quite shocking that they don't tell you you wont be eating up at the little restaurant they have. When I booked our tickets online it said we would have a choice of 2 soups, or a grilled cheese sandwich or a hotdog. There was no other option other than the cold drizzled soup and bread bowl There were drinks and desserts you could buy for extra but she didn't explain that to us at all. I read in a previous review someone describe it as "chicken running around with zero communication" that is exactly what it is. They don't communicate to you at all. Next year we will drive directly to the tree farm (those people were fabulous!) and take our money else where to get a warm, good lunch served by friendly people with some personality. The horse ride was so lame we wont even miss it. Im not the type to write bad reviews in fact this is my first one ever. It takes something really really bad to make me want to help warn others. I am kicking myself for not reading reviews prior to making reservations for the sleigh ride and lunch. First the lady coordinating the rides said she could not find our reservation and told me that I must of come on the wrong day. But then she realized that she had placed the private ride reservations on another screen and found it. She then was rude about it stating we had to wait making us feel very uncomfortable. Further, the "private" ride is so not worth the money AT ALL; it was short, boring and the route is basically the same road we came up in our car but shorter and less festive (we had holiday music playing.) The lunch was blah and the room which it is served was cold, drab and uninviting. At least play some holiday music or decorate it with some of the gift shop merchandise to make it more festive - that might help. However, the gift shop was beautiful and has a plethora of items to browse through. Oh. and the two large dogs that are roaming around were sweet but did beg for food and were too large for the the gift shop since it is jammed packed with stuff from ceiling to floor. I have been to High Country Orchard many times to shop and have always enjoyed the experience. Today was the exception. Four of us decided to have lunch, it was Mother's Day and quite busy. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. It took over 1 hour to get a grilled cheese sandwich. The menu is not complicated but it is utter chaos in the kitchen. Very long wait and poor customer service. Brought the family here for lunch on Sunday. We ordered at 11:40 and waited an hour for our food with only a table of two infront of our order. I had to check on our order 3 times. While we were waiting the owner came flying into the parking lot. We had been told they were short staffed because their staff was at church. Manager never came out to talk to us. We were only offered a discount after I told them I felt we shouldn't pay. We were offered ice cream but finally give 40% off. Had such a wonderful time here! Had the BEST food and variety from sandwiches to bakery goods they had it all! Also a great espresso and yummy drink menu! They have the most adorable friendly Saint Bernard dogs that walk around the store and greeted us when we walked in. We walked around the orchards and had a great day. Very clean and well kept. They also have an awesome petting zoo and obstacle course area for kids or people of all ages. 10/10 recommend coming here, you won't regret it! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! DO NOT DO YOUR WEDDING THERE If you don't want to end up paying more, get more stress, disappointment and ruin you day. The owner and her coordinators are rude and don't know what they're doing, especially Samantha. They give you misleading info and promising you everything, so you sign a contract. They don't communicate with each other and all give you the wrong info. After signing the contract, they don't do anything they promised. They don't show you the decorations they are talking about so highly on their website and in person, until you pay the non-refundable deposit $1500 first. Do not fall for the low price and don't think you'll save some money with them. When you'll see where they keep their event stuff and in what condition, you'll better spend $1000 more but for the nicer wedding venue. It's all garbage! Don't do catering with them as well, they keep their dirty place setting and other utensil uncovered in the barn full of mice with their poops. Disgusting! Same with the decorations! There are hols on the decoration material from mice. If you are the person who would put all of it on the tables for your family and guests, go for it. After you'll see it and want to take your money back, they would keep $1500 deposit. So, read the contract more carefully! Looks like they live out of the deposits because people cancel the events after they see what's behind the scene. Please AVOID this place. If you want your wedding day to be perfect, find a better place. read more

We've had a great experiences for a couple years and that made us decide to go back this year when it was peach season. They had a great deal advertised for 25 lb boxes at only $22.50. We went on 8/18 as soon as they opened - we had called ahead but the phone was never answered!!!. We went directly to the counter to get three boxes of what we were told were Red Globe. They took our money fast enough and told us someone was out front to help us. In the front, the only person was a cashier who was cutting apples to taste as she was on the phone asking what types of apples she had to sell. We asked her what were the peaches we needed and she said all the ones in front were - then she went back to the apples. So, we loaded three boxes and left feeling a little thrown off by the lack of organization and knowledge of the staff. Once home, we decided to weigh the boxes and found that only 1 of the 3 was even CLOSE to 25 lbs and that included the heavy duty box. I immediately called and spoke to Alex who assured us that was not good and it would be corrected with the missing amount plus some for the trouble. I told him my name and said it would not be that day, he said that didn't matter and it would be fixed. The following day I again tried calling to alert them someone would be coming the following day to get the remainder of our purchase. I again had to call many times since no one would answer the phone. Finally, when it was answered, I explained the entire scenario again, left my name again and the name of the person who would be arriving for us - they said to speak to Sam. The following morning, my mother went to get our order. She first spoke with someone outside who said they didn't even have Red Globes, she then went in and was told by someone else that Red Globes were not in season and we were mistaken (Hmm - Red Globes were listed on their website!) Then a cashier told her that all the peaches in the front were the Red Globes! No one even knew what they had! And, no one wanted to be the person who replaced our missing weight! No notes were left around with names - no one knew what she wanted -it was just a total run around! Finally, after being grilled and told she was wrong, a gentleman gave my mother the replacement 10 lbs - or so he said. Again, it was weighed with the heavy box. He did not offer any extra for trouble. Once home, my mother removed the peaches from the box and weighed them in at 7 lbs, so 3 lbs short AGAIN. In addition to the bad customer service and total run around - the peaches themselves were so bruised and nasty we had to cut off about 1/3rd of each one before canning! We were shorted in the order AND lost way too much when processing. I have tried to contact High Country with my disappointment and dissatisfaction, but after two weeks have given up on them contacting us. Terrible experience - DO NOT GO THERE! We have shopped the gift/home decor store many times while visiting Greenbluff, but today our first lunch experience in the cafe was terrible. There were three of us, and we ordered two wraps and a grilled cheese sandwich with soup. It took one hour and fifteen minutes for us to get our food. My sister's soup was lukewarm when it finally arrived, and my wrap (Asian Chicken) contained exactly two small pieces of chicken in one half and three small pieces in the other. It was dry and tasteless. Truly, it should have been called an iceberg lettuce wrap, and I paid over $8.00 for that with a small bottle of water. Even more disappointing was that the owners, who seem like nice people, kept making excuses about why the food was taking so long and offered no re-compensation. It's obvious that they either need a new system in the kitchen (wraps, soup and grilled cheese should never take over an hour to serve especially with four to six people working in the kitchen at a time), or they need to hire experienced staff rather than young kids to do the prepping and cooking. The cafe might be a nice place to have a piece of pie or a glass of wine, but I won't be returning there for lunch. read more
