From our first FaceTime session with them, we had the feeling that they shared our vision for our wedding photographs. A week or two before our wedding, we sent them a list of photographs we desired, and they worked with us to recommend an agenda so that we would be able to get all of the pictures in the time we had allotted. The day of the wedding, it was clear that they had actually read through our list and had a plan in their heads. They executed their plan flawlessly. We got through the photos we had on our list in way less time than we had planned for, which allowed us to get additional photographs. They photographed for 8 hours total. When I first reached out to see if she had any availability, I was so so so bummed because on the website, it said that elopement packages would only be available Monday-Thursday after April and our wedding was in May. I tried my luck anyway and submitted the request. Luckily, Laura was so nice and said she would have some availability to do our elopement package that Sunday without any extra charge! I honestly couldn't have been any more excited about it. The entire set-up process with Laura and her website was super simple and she kindly answered any questions we had, including ones about keeping my glasses on in the photos, etc. She always encouraged us to just be us, no matter how shy or awkward we may be and she is super down to earth. During the wedding, we asked her to grab as many candids of our family members as she could and she absolutely nailed it. My husband is an artist, I'm a performer, and pretty much everyone in our immediate family and best friends are in the arts. I'm saying that because we chose Laura's business because after looking at countless other photographers and their work, Laura and Ben seemed to be the closest to our hearts as genuine artists with a kind of integrity and strength in what they chose to show in their work. They caught not only the pictures that all brides need like close up with Godmother or "the cake" shot but the caught so many moments that showed the intimacy of my guests interacting with each-other that I could not have possibly have seen. The price…read moreshe offered us was about half what we would have paid the premium creme-de-la-creme of Wisconsin wedding photographers, and I really believe we got top-notch service from start to finish, including the most important part -- breathtakingly gorgeous pictures. We had Kyla for 10 hours, which is a very long day (the max that I have seen for wedding photographers) and she gave it her all from beginning to end. We got the getting-ready shots, first meeting between bride and groom, pictures on location before the wedding, pictures at the ceremony, another location after the ceremony, and the reception. I had a fairly specific idea in my head of how I wanted the day to unfold and where we wanted pictures taken, but Kyla actually suggested some locations we hadn't thought of that turned out to be fantastic. I was impressed by how she kept things moving so we didn't end up missing our entire reception while we were taking pictures. Kyla really captured so many special moments throughout the day. We have the requisite photos with family and bridal party, but so many more lovely candid moments as well. We received all of the high-resolution original images promptly (about 4 weeks later) on a CD, with many different "takes" (color, B&W, sepia, horizontal, vertical, etc.) on each scene. Kyla was very responsive helping me get a higher-resolution version of an image we wanted to print at a large size. She was very pleasant to work with -- not a prima donna as some photographers can be. I really can't imagine getting better service at any price. We were absolutely thrilled with Kyla's work and would recommend her to anyone.
