Men seldomly shop and care less of the pricing as long as they get what they need. Of course, knowing they'll get if half off is a plus. While standing on long lines because a lot people shop at Old Navy, I watched this young lady conduct herself. She greeted everyone at her register, she laughed, always had a smile. She even held conversations while ringing people up. While standing on the line I seen her leave the register to check items with and/or for a shopper, making sure she let others on the line know that she will be right back. I was worried that the assistance I needed would require annoyed customers or a manager (who knows, maybe she was one based on her professional conduct?) I kept hoping I would get her, possibly give up my spot in line to ensure that. Well, I got her! And I gave her a task!! She was not only up to the challenge, but she was able to accommodate in record time! Not a person on the purchase line felt a lapse in their time or complained (again Old Navy has long lines due to great prices and availability) but you could see she knew everything about the store, the products availability as well as the online website because I needed assistance in both areas. And again, I cannot stress that Andraya was willing to help, with a smile on her face! It was refreshing because a lot of young folks aren't confident or willing. I was shocked that she was not a manager (I had to ask because she was so young.) You could see how she interacted with her co-workers, taking the initiative with both shoppers and her colleagues. I hope her boss sees this post and truly appreciates the work ethics Andraya has. It's funny, this is not the first time I experienced excellence with Andraya, over the summer she helped while passing through the dressing room area and then helped me with a return the next day. You don't forget faces, especially when they come with professional experience and a smile. I felt this time around I needed to put this in writing because in today's day you just can't find good help with young people. The holidays are approaching, times are difficult, people are anxious but if you go to Old Navy in Garden City NY and need help, look for Andraya at the register and she will give you 110%. I promise she won't disappoint! And I just want to add, one of the times I was there, they didn't have enough registers, Andraya was super fast while be super accommodating....you just can't find that combination in customer service anymore, Andraya has restored my faith!

Even trying on 2 dress sizes it was a hard decision which size was the best as both were close in size for the fit. So if you have time I suggest trying things on. Most things list as R for regular in size, distributed through out are very few Short- and some sizes start at 0, 1,2... or numbers as 36, 38 etc. It is nice to have sales people to help in the search.

Today, October 17 at 1:25 I went in because a light pair of Jeans I bought and just wore was pointed out by my coworkers that it had a light line band going across one of the legs and it was obvious because the darker part on the right of it is where the long sticker with the Jean size is written was. I didn't notice it until I wore it but knew I couldn't wear them again because it was then obvious and cheap looking. So I figured I would go in and show them, I had the tickets and I'm definitely in their system if they wanted to check. But when I walked in to show them it took a while to get someone's attention. A women eventually came up, not happy and I explained it to her. She didn't even pick up the Jean and look at it, she just frustratingly said every Jean is different but it wasn't that type of complaint, I know that. She also suggested I could look at another pair to see she is right. As I turned around, she was complaining about me and talking about me. I couldn't believe it.. I picked up a pair but it clearly did not have that. I told her I don't see it on these and she just looked at me. I walked out and then walked back in to give her my jeans and tell her she can just throw them out. It wasn't that she ultimately couldn't do anything but her approach, explanation and lack of effort to even look at my jeans and say anything nice was so against anything I would ever say or do to a customer. Very disappointing. Horrible experience! Wish I took pictures but it's done, won't be shopping there for jeans anymore.
